  1. If PS2 emulation was completely accurate none of us would be able to play it. I love PCSX2. Look at SNES, bsnes accuracy requires a 3Ghz CPU... so yea. True perfect emulation requires extremely powerful PC's. It's not a "hack" job, that would insinuate that they are dumb asses and they are extremely far from that.
  2. The Dreamcast core is being worked on just like most of them, it does suck though. N64, PS1 and Dreamcast onward is still iffy except for PS2 and GameCube / Wii. I say this as emulation in general as the PS2 era onward is not in RetroArch and probably never will be honestly. In RetroArch the AHK script is not specifically needed, there is even the controller automation if you want it done by a controller. The script is great for systems that have issues or have special ways to close down.
  3. No problem. Sorry if I wasn't of any real help in this case, but if there is no option in Nestopia to turn that setting off (so that it closes the emu instead of bringing up a menu) then there is probably not much we can do unless you wanna get in to more complicated AutoHotKey scripts. With RetroArch though (which I use for most systems in those tutorials), F1 brings up the menu (which you need a lot) and Esc will close the emulator. The Tutorial that just went up today is for SNES, but it is a back to basics tutorial and you can apply what you learn there to other cores, so I would suggest watching that tutorial if you need some help.
  4. No it's RetroArch which has several different cores, one of them can be Nestopia which is based off of the Emulator of the same name. All of RA's cores are based off of stand alone emulators. Are you using RetroArch?
  5. I don't use Nestopia but does it even use the Esc key to close the emulator? If it does and you are just pressing Esc then nothing has changed since adding Nestopia to LaunchBox. If you are using the Controller Automation make sure you have them enabled. If there is a dialogue that pops up when you press Esc so then it stops there see if there is an option to turn that off otherwise there is nothing we can do about the dialogue. You didn't exactly provide a lot of information so I tried to cover a few possibilities.
  6. I edited out the place where you got your games.
  7. http://outrage.the-crow.co.uk/builds/
  8. When alternate names get implemented alternate naming for games should come along with it as well as alternate Dates. It's just a matter of when Jason is going to do it.
  9. If I recall that core and the standalone emulator don't actually emulate the CD functions, only the cart functions. What I showed off for the tutorial was not a CD game. Virtual Jaguar still gets development from time to time because it is open source, but the last update was March of 2015.
  10. I haven't messed around with the BBC Micro, but I will say that the Command Line is your friend. It may also be a bit more complicated because of the nature of it's emulation. Does the website or dev have any documentation on Command Line parameters?
  11. GameFAQ's is a decent place, but Bing or Google image searches might be your best friend. Also NES and Famicom are going to be merged along with Genesis / Mega Drive and TurboGrafx 16 / PC Engine, they are the same console. We will have alternate naming though so that if a user does separate them in LaunchBox they should scrape the same source properly.
  12. E-mail Jason with your e-mail and purchase details at support@unbrokensoftware.com.
  13. K I've forwarded this to Jason then.
  14. As long as the names match the Database (which is the default naming) you should have been good to go. Re-run the process from the Tools menu and does it find anything a second time?
  15. Have you tried the latest nightly? They may have already fixed it.
  16. Yea the heads up is surely appreciated.
  17. I made a video on how to update RA, and the best practice I try to teach is that a new RA install goes to a new folder then you just carry over your existing information. I haven't found any bugs or errors yet either, so thank you for sharing what you've found.
  18. Well then welcome. If you need help adding your games to LaunchBox we have our tutorial series on our YouTube channel which you can get to from the link in my signature. A few weeks ago I uploaded a MAME tutorial if you are interested.
  19. It was a great game! I actually got the platinum in that game.
  20. If you do, make sure to add them to the Database so other users can download the metadata! There is a full list of Guidelines if you do decide to want to start uploading your data. Other users may be working on it too so the option under tools called "Download Images and Metadata" will become your friend. Click a system, then a game in that system, then Ctrl + A to highlight all of the games then use that option under tools to re-run the metadata process. https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/games-database-news-and-updates/moderator-guidelines#p15363
  21. I made a small update to the Guidelines yesterday, it was a small change. See if you can even find it. :P
  22. Wikipedia is tricky, sometimes it just won't find something or it found a different page. It could also be that it just doesn't see the image. Jason may need to go in and check to make sure everything is still working from the code side but it was never perfect to begin with honestly.
  23. Yes you need premium, and there will be daily download limits as well. They're there as an alternative and you certainly do not need to purchase EmuMovies if you would rather not.
