  1. It's not necessarily to avoid copyright, I could guarantee they don't own the copyright, it's more so that the image is untainted. We also don't want to advertise other websites either really, which is primarily why they usually do that sort of thing.
  2. Missing video? Maybe in the future but not now. Also you figured that out, but sometimes a lot of settings like this will require LaunchBox to be restarted, it kind of sucks but it's necessary.
  3. I don't have that kind of money. Yea restarts on this thing literally take 15-20 seconds. It's crazy. Premiere Pro and Photoshop load extremely fast too and don't lag nearly as bad as before.
  4. Yea that's strange, it should be working just fine. Default command lines loading cue sheets in the latest build. I don't use it normally but I tested it when the new version came out. I would also suggest trying RetroArch as well, I covered PS1 in RetroArch on our tutorials which you can get to from the link in my signature below all my posts. It is an alternative though. ePSXe from my experience isn't flaky, if all you get is a black screen either the BIOS could be bad or the image could be corrupted.
  5. No, Interlacing would cause blurriness. if you compare a 1080i or 1080p picture you can see it is a bit blurrier then the Progressive Scan image. If all you can find are JPEGs though, converting them to a PNG may not do anything really other than change it's file extension. PNG's are more worthwhile if you have transparent layers, you were working in Photoshop and just output a new image or you're working from high resolution RAW or otherwise camera shots or box scans and you wanted to put them through Photoshop then have an image for the web.
  6. Hey, thanks Bil! Actually you were the one I saw talking to the dev, so thank you for trying to get the emulator updated to be a bit more LaunchBox friendly!! FS-UAE seems like it should be the perfect Amiga solution and I would love to do a tutorial on it and add it as the default emulator. The documentation is pretty great, just not in our area.
  7. I don't know how Nvidia does it's streaming, but we do have users who use Steam Links to stream their PC using In-Home streaming. If you are 2 floors away, that could potentially be a problem for latency or connection too. I am not sure how to go about doing it completely, neither Jason (the developer by the way) nor I stream our PC's like that. I know it works though because we just fixed a driver issue when it came to Xbox One and Steam controllers for users who do that streaming. If there is a compatibility issue somewhere we can certainly fix that if we have more information and it turns out to be a bug. On your streaming device, can you have a keyboard or mouse attached to it? You can navigate BigBox via Keyboard, does this work if you try it over streaming?
  8. The reason why it's not a priority is because streaming your LaunchBox to a small device like this is already very possible and people do it all the time. I would also say that the Raspberry Pi isn't at all all that popular on our forums specifically. That said, there are certainly things we can do to make streaming easier, we just recently fixed a giant bug that made streaming to a Steam Link pretty much impossible, however I guess I am missing the intent of your post? If it is to stream to a small little PC, that can be done. It can even be done on less elegant solutions like DropBox though over network or over internet play would suck due to the nature of the internet, but it's completely doable. In terms of being on other devices, the RaspberryPi 3, forgetting for a second that we don't run on Linux, is not powerful enough for LaunchBox or BigBox in it's current state. It could probably load, technically, but it would completely drag. As far as other OSes are concerned we are completely open to them, Android as a platform would be killer because that can be easily installed on powerful tablets that can out put to a TV, it's extremely versatile, but the same can be said for a laptop or a small PC. In terms of streaming though, we're already there. Granted, we're not done and more progress can always be made, but we are there. I don't want to sound like I am denying what you are saying, I honestly don't quite get what you mean. As far as your title goes, this is our day job, we give it ALL the attention we have. Our market is primarily not streaming though, we see our highest market being traditional Computers and Laptops with a lot of users making Arcade cabinets. We see a lot of requests for Android and that would honestly be our first major step in another OS in Linux and Android. If I am completely missing your point please please please tell me I am wrong. I tried to answer the question a few times but I fear that I am missing it.
  9. Sure, post the video, please do especially if you show how to get it working I may use it as the basis for a tutorial. By that I mean I would watch it, see how you're doing it and apply that to the tutorials. I've got games launching, but it's no where near even a small percent of them working. Some don't launch, some get me stuck at a boot screen, a lot of audio clips and there is a loud as hell clicking noise that sounds like an old Floppy Drive locking and spinning.
  10. To be honest I don't. Amiga will be the first on the tutorial list when I figure it out. MAME was daunting because it's complicated, this is daunting because there is a surprising lack of information.
  11. I will say you've done as much research as me, I've been trying for a long time to get it to work with various methods and I still have nothing. Amiga is difficult. However, the FS-UAE developer knows about us (LaunchBox) and is actually working on better command line support so we can easily launch it. That seems to where it breaks the fastest, when you want to launch it through LB.
  12. They're the same as far as what it imports in to LaunchBox and does not do what the user is asking though.
  13. Yea, part of the changes I need to make to the default emulators and commands.
  14. So I would say if you need help to watch our Tutorial series, a new video every friday (except this friday I got a vacation that I am only half using ;) ), but next week will be a new basic SNES tutorial. That said you need both commands.\ -L is for loading a core and -c is to load a config file. So my full SNES line looks like this: Name Command Line Super Nintendo Entertainment System -L "cores\bsnes_balanced_libretro.dll" -c "config\RetroArch-1220-194545.cfg" And remember that the name in Associated platform needs to match your SNES System name in LB. If you have more questions let me know.
  15. The RA front page, at least for when they make major updates to the cores. It's where I just read about the two new changes. They also have change logs.
  16. Yea I just updated to the latest, I had a build that was right before the latest. I copied over all of the stuff, RetroArch.cfg, system folder and the config folder. Edited the RetroArch path in LaunchBox, right clicked open RA and downloaded the cores I want, closed RA and LB opened up games like normal.
  17. Is it 1 DosBox.conf file or several, 1 per game? If it's per game you can tell LaunchBox to use a custom.conf file if you want if that's what you're asking. I don't use Meagre so maybe I am missing something. If Meagre wants to read the conf files but once it's in LaunchBox it doesn't matter I don't see why the change matters. If you could explain a bit more I would appreciate it.
  18. AutumnSounds said I've decided to proof-read everything I type in Photoshop CC from now on. :P Yea yea. :P I wish you were around for the T-Shirt contest when we had that going on though.
  19. The importer is only going to add the games based on the check boxes, and since it is best to have an entire MAME set it's going to import everything it see's. Our database can be added to though, so either more games will start getting more metadata or you yourself can add some if you'd like. I know that the process to parse your DOS folder takes a while but that step is not based on the Database. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
  20. I also like the blue, and that's odd Derek because all of my custom configs were loading through LB after the recent update and I copied over what was in the video as well (since I made it :P). Let me update to the new version proper and double check.
  21. Well just to note, we're not the GamesDB. I just want anyone who reads this who doesn't know what we do know that we are in fact the LaunchBox Games Database, GamesDB exists elsewhere. Also, it depends really on the moderator. It could be at most a day, or it could be a week. An item in the queue needs 3 approvals over 3 rejections to proceed. That is in the Guidelines if you want to keep them available.
