  1. Yea we would never allow games to be downloaded here unless they were fully legal to re-distribute. I mean to allow users to be able to add entries to our Database so users will have more complete data when scraping from the Database. Currently it's only open for editing existing metadata for games. Images, deletion and addition are still to come. Once this happens we're confident that the small gap that does exist between us and EM will close even farther. I'm sorry for the confusion.

    video of games

Click a game, then Ctrl + A to highlight them all. When you use the 'Download Images and Metadata' it will only download for what you have selected. Then click the box on the bottom when it gives you 3 choices. If you don't have an EM Premium account, you can find non-EM video packs at some websites.
  3. Our Premium is not necessary for the Database at all. As far as expanding the offerings of our database, we're focusing on getting the Database fully operational. Right now we're focusing efforts to get full game submission available instead of just editing current games metadata. As far as the images EmuMovies offers, EM only fills in a small amount of titles that we don't have, but a majority of the images comes from our Database which is completely free.
  4. On the left click a system, highlight all the games in that system by clicking a game then using Ctrl + A, then use Tools -> Download Images and Metadata. Make sure to use the option to only download Metadata and Images that are empty. Also, our Database is quite impressive, and you're not going to find much more on EmuMovies. The only thing EmuMovies has that we don't is video which is Premium only anyways. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it too much. Our database is also going to start growing soon. Edit: Don't wanna forget they have music too. Even then, all said and done, they don't have video or music for every game, nor images. Combined with our DB there are more images, but as long as you also don't check to prioritize EmuMovies metadata (leave it unchecked) then I would be willing to bet (video and music aside) that more images are coming from us, and we don't have a download cap.
  5. angelobodetti said Yea it was the rips. They were working in PCEjin but not in RA so I assumed the rips were fine. All good now, thank you all for the help. Sweet, if you have any more questions feel free to ask them.
  6. Of course. I know I am not Jason but he's working really hard on bugs today. :P
  7. There are tickets on most of the. The Clean Up option will include music and video in the future, as well when changing platforms it will port over everything associated with it too. Exporting a system or entire library will also be all inclusive in the future.
  8. CADScott said I am wanting to transfer some ScummVM games from one platform (Windows and MSDOS) to another platform (ScummVM). When the ScummVM games are scraped they come in in either windows or DOS, and I did not notice this at import. It is easy to change the platform of the game, but this does not move the media associated with each game. I am not too concerned about the images, because they are easy enough to rescrape, but all the other media (Music, manuals, videos etc) would be a pain, as much of this I have customised. Even if I do rescrape the media I will be then left with unneeded data in the videos, manuals and music area that will not be needed, and is not cleaned up when doing an image cleanup. Is there any way to move the game from one platform to another and also move the media with it to the new platform? In your LaunchBox install is a Music, Video, Manual and Images folder. Inside there are folders with the platform names. If you're moving an entire platform just rename the folder to the new platform. Or you can move the single files on their own as well. There will be an easier way to do this in the future, but for now it has to be done manually.
  9. Yea, some games wont work correctly. What is Dolphin using for compression? GCM, WBFS?
  10. DOS76 said WOW! I have an insane PS2 library at around 3.58 TBs so this could probably save me an insane amount of space. Did you test the new files and make sure they worked. Did you ever start compressing your games? What was the result?
  11. Yep. For small games archiving them you're not gonna save a ton of space. Well you might save a few hundred MB if you archived an entire collection of SNES games, but compressing those bigger games is the big pay off and archiving those is a pain in the ass. CSOing all of them is also a pain in the ass, it took a few days to CSO over 350 PS2 games. I just put iso in the title of maxcso so it was maxcso iso.exe and just used the Windows search to find 'iso'. I then drag and dropped the iso's on to the exe and deleted them when they were done. You can also do multiples. It takes some time, but it's a better system then raring and zipping. I actually made a thread about it: https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/emulation/ps2-compressed-all-my-games-as-csos-378-games-669gb
  12. Did the folder name change for the platform? Did it get deleted?
  13. That's odd, I just tested it and my video was there, but the game didn't auto-select so it probably just reloaded the video. LaunchBox essentially closes down, opens BB and vice versa so I am confused.
  14. Added your specific repeat request to the ticket. Vote on it here: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/660/add-additional-video-controls-for-the-vlc
  15. Ok that last one must be a bug. Switch as in alt-tab or using the Ctrl + B option (the button in the Tools menu)? Also a repeat option I am unsure was thought of for full controls, but I'll make sure to add that to the ticket. Also yea, sorry about the Editing, unless you're approved (for some reason) you can't edit your posts after someone else has made a reply, which is kind of dumb. Our forums are stupidly finicky.
  16. Volume in LB, no, but the Windows Volume Mixer you can lower LB manually. This is planned eventually along with proper VLC controls. For auto-play, View -> Several options down. Options for music and video, or Ctrl + Alt + V. I actually covered video in the recent LB 5.9 video, I go over some of the major changes. The Details bar you can hide some elements, but not re-order. This might be a ticket as well.
  17. I wonder if that is due to the Wikipedia article changing URL's or being deleted.
  18. ScummVM is just not all that easy from what Jason has told me in the past. There are still ways to import them then batch edit the use of ScummVM, but obviously that is not as good as a proper importer.
  19. Shades2585 said Jason Carr said Unfortunately, that's still on the to do list. Probably the easiest thing to do right now is to import them as DOS games. Then you can batch edit them to make them ScummVM games, but you'll probably still have to manually edit each one in order to match it to the proper game. :/ I'm looking forward to seeing this video. :D A tutorial for ScummVM won't come unless we overhaul that importer too, because if all there is to do is use the Batch Edit to change them from using DOS to ScummVM (options in the Bulk Edit) then that would be a short video.
  20. The quotes shouldn't matter because it's an absolute path and not a relative path, shouldn't at least. I add them anyways.
  21. There are BIOS for everything related to MAME, there are over 30 different unique BIOS for variations of systems. Look for MAME packs.
  22. Yea MAME roms need to be located with the roms them selves. That's why LB filters them out during import.
  23. So to me, that error reads that there is a duplicate instruction at line 43. So remove line 43 or fix it if you know how.
  24. Ah, ok so then yea forcing it would be your only option. I wonder how easy that would be for Jason to pull off.
