  1. Well, it's a fairly simple change I would presume, but don't hold me to that. Maybe @Jason Carr can add that variable for the theme creators.
  2. With a bit of extra set up. Vanilla DOSBox, if I recall, also doesn't handle them the best? There is a DOSBox fork out there that can handle W3.x better, but I can't remember what it was.
  3. Yea, it's very possible there was just a corruption during install or download.
  4. BackBlaze has several restore options, they're just done from your account. https://www.backblaze.com/remote-backup-everything.html
  5. No, you can stop it whenever. If you have it on continuous, and you let it go, eventually it will start back up. So under schedule I'll change it from continuous to "when i click backup now". It does funky things when you leave it on "when i click backup now", so I never click start with that option checked, only continuous.
  6. Stop the backup, edit the folders it's picking from and edit your extension filters.
  7. I believe that is the case. There are other services, I know Jason uses another one that's the same price and unlimited, but I can't remember the name of it.
  8. Yes? Unless they're requested by the courts in an on going case, there's no reason for them to ever look at your files. Even then, they'd just be passing on what was requested, but at that point it also doesn't matter.
  9. I think that was ckp? I'll take a thank you, but thank ckp too!
  10. That is certainly not intended behavior, wow. I would do a few things just to be safe about the health of your PC. Run chkdks: https://windowsinstructed.com/run-chkdsk-windows/ http://www.thewindowsclub.com/generate-system-health-report-windows-7-8-perfmon https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-update/system-file-check-sfc-scan-and-repair-system-files/bc609315-da1f-4775-812c-695b60477a93
  11. Of course. I'm sorry if that answer kind of sucked, but it's where we're at right now.
  12. It's not just RAM, but if you go to Tools -> Options -> Ram Cache, there is a button to clear it every time you launch a game. A game may launch a bit slower, but it will clear that out. You could also turn that off. It will increase your hard drive load, but RAM will be less effected. This isn't a complete solution, but if ram specifically is your problem then this could help.
  13. If you start removing the features RL has, then why use it all though? If you don't want the features, then don't use RL, it will make things even more complicated in the long run. The list of features people list off is very small, so removing any seems like you're landing back at just LB anyways. Not to mention, some of these features can and probably will make their way in to LB in some form.
  14. If you use the Hardware modes, it will create some issues. Software mode is more compatible, but limited in extra features. Some games run better in certain situations, certain settings. It's also worth noting that performance can change from game to game, even on the same system. Either a specific games compatibility could be low, or it requires much more power than another game.
  15. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/customize/enterprise/shell-launcher
  16. If you're trying to run from a thumb drive, make sure it's a fast speed thumb drive. They're notorious for having low read and write speeds, even if it's USB3. Most devices don't follow the proper USB3 spec, and come in under, but enough to be called USB3. My USB3 thumb drive writes at 41mb/s, but my externals are all 100+mb over the same USB3 connection. You don't need to put your install on an SSD, LB / BB wont use those crazy speeds, but at the same time you can't put it on something too slow or odd things like this may happen. It may just be that LB is caching extremely, EXTREMELY slow.
  17. You don't have to if someone would implement that in to their theme or you want to learn how to edit a theme. I would imagine that it would be easy. Maybe @CriticalCid can tell us if it is or not, or tell you where to look.
  18. To vote you need to sign up, which voting is how feature requests rise to the top. Submission can be anonymous.
  19. The new Dreamcast core is going to require the same set up as every other core ever did: Download the core and set the command line parameters up for it. If you used another emulator previously, you'll also need to bulk edit the emulator to the new one. As for the fullscreen thing, I am not sure. If you're loading a custom config, then the custom config could have off settings. Try loading up the game, go to the Video settings tab, and turn off or on (I can't remember which) Integer scaling. I recall that being related to something like this, but maybe Zom or Monkus knows exactly.
  20. Don't worry about all the questions. As for if there is an option for this, then no, that would need to be requested. That would be totally doable with a custom theme, though someone would have to make that.
  21. Like Monkus said though, the Amiga section is very wonky. I do know that there is an odd... "bug" (and I use that term lightly cause I have zero clue if it really is, with no proof), that using the Bulk Media Download method may not return results and download for some games. I've had games that were attached to ID's not download images using that method, but I can't prove it or replicate it most of the time. The best way to test it is to find games that do have Database ID's, change their names to be exactly what it should be on the Database, then run the bulk to check. If they're exactly the same as the Database and there are no other games in that platform with that name, and it still doesn't scrape right with that method, then I would be leaning towards calling it a bug.
  22. There is the same chance as any feature unfortunately. Jason is 1 person developing LaunchBox and there are over several hundred feature requests tracked and not tracked. So unless Jason says he's going to and then goes to work on it right away, we just can't promise anything in a specific time frame, unless it's a bug.
  23. Unless they have an API, then no. Importing Windows games can be made much easier, but in the mean time drag all of your GOG shortcuts on to LB. You'll select it as a rom, tell it what platform to import under and then select a fake emulator. Go to that platform on the left afterwards, Ctrl + A to highlight everything, right click a game and go to Edit, then choose emulator from the first drop down and leave the second drop down blank. That's the easiest workaround.
  24. The initial import and bulk edit afterwards are extremely strict to not pick up the wrong game.
