Yeah this is the 1st time I've heard this mentioned and I'm sure that is purely an oversight on @Jason Carr's part and that the ability to handle both of those scenarios will be included in the future. Its still very early stages for the Android version of LaunchBox so thank you for your patience until this details get worked out.

That is what I do for game paths if they need to be edited for emulators I only use a few so I just do it in the UI.

because you used the full set importer without a full set. Full set doesn't actually import from your games but imports all working games from MAME's internal xml file. Just use the import ROMs option.

Are your CHD's in the same folder with your ROM maybe that has an effect on whether or not it imports them as additional apps I really don't know I always keep mine in a separate CHD folder that I just point the MAME.ini to so it knows its location.

I asked Jason about this and he confirmed it is for additional apps.

It is not the CHD as the CHD is completely handled by MAME itself and has nothing to do with LB at all. LB won't even know if you have the CHD that will be determined by MAME.

yes based on how you imported it may be as simple as copying everything to the new drive and it may just work. Worst case scenario you may have to point LB to your emulator paths again. Edit a random game and if the path to the game is in a relative format then you are good to go.

Like this for example LB is giving it a proper title. As you can see from the section on the right my actual ROM name is much different.

what platform are you referencing and what do you mean generic rom name? If LB is finding data for your game it should also be giving it a title that matches the database

Respectfully, this thread isn't about new releases or upcoming features its about issues with the latest beta and frankly post like that are what cause drama between memebers of the community which isn't something that we like to have here so unless you are a moderator you shouldn't be trying to impose your version of forum etiquette on someone who is reporting their issue with a beta on a beta thread.

Force duplicate just will import a game already imported. LB will only copy files on import if you tell it to during the import wizard -
the OP hasn't been on the site since August 28th so may not be dead but he also doesn't frequent the forums on a regular basis. -

I don't see it as an issue with them being there but they probably do need there own section as they technically aren't arcade games although there is no dispute they are games ie gambling is commonly referred to as games of chance.

I'm pretty sure this has been replaced with a newer steam plugin by another user. -
It sounds like you are using the full set MAME importer instead of just importing MAME like it is any other system. When you import just use the option to import rom files. you will still get the filter dialog and all but it will only use the ROMs you actually have during the import and not the full set like when you use the full set importer.

lol the mapping for the 2600 controller is funny its one button if you can't figure it out without a diagram you have bigger problems then emulator issues.

MAME doesn't except emulated keyboard presses so it won't exit from your controller your best bet is to go into the mame ui and hit tab then select the controller option and look for an item named UI Cancel then set your combo there. -
LOL I also see in the video you have MSI Afterburner. Make an exception for LB in Riva Tuner. @neil9000can hopefully explain it in more detail.

are you running Riva Tuner or MSI Afterburner? If not let us know what version of LB you are running and also which version of Windows you have as it can help us narrow down some troubleshooting steps. Edit: After watching your video I see you are running Windows 10

That is normal behavior if that is the only platform you have added there is nothing you can do about it except go into settings and change your view to use all games.
