  1. Keep in mind I am only guessing here because like I said, I have never seen that behaviour from LB/BB.
  2. Are you using any plugins for LB/BB ? What you are showing in your screenshots is definitely not right at all and I have never seen that happen in the 3+ years I have been using LB. I'm also wondering if those AHK and Input Mapper processes I see running are interfering with LB somehow. I know they are their own processes and all but if you have them tied to things in LB/BB they could be getting hung up in BB causing issues.
  3. You can add the platform and choose the core you want to use.
  4. Owning both FC4 and FC5 I think the FC5 is the better controller. That isn't to say the the FC4 is bad at all, it is awesome but I find the FC5 to be slightly better. I think the reason for the price difference is that the FC4 is no longer in production so there is a limited supply now while the FC5 is being produced and there is plenty of them. https://gameidealist.com/gift-guides/features-comparison-hori-fighting-commander-4-vs-hori-fighting-commander-5/
  5. Somehow your refresh rate got set really low, you can try editing your retroarch.cfg and look for: video_refresh_rate = and set it to 60, though generally speaking it's never exactly 60, it's usually 59.xx or 60.xx.
  6. The scan for added roms works only with the rom folder set in LB which is a sub folder within your LB install folder, not the folder where your roms were imported from originally. You can change the path using the manage platforms tool.
  7. Setup button combo in the Controller Automation section of the options in LB and BB mode. This sends the Escape command from your keyboard to the emulator which a lot of emulators use to close out. For the emulators that don't you will need to setup an AHK script to send the close command to the emulator, you can find a bunch of useful AHK scripts here in this thread:
  8. You can increase the internal resolution in the Mupen core in Retroarch, it's in the core options and will need a restart of RA to take effect. Stand alone Mupen64 also has resolution scaling.
  9. It might have to have the advanced features enabled, this is something I just do out of habit.
  10. Yes it is possible, if your arcade stick is recognized as an Xinput game controllers it should just work like any other controller. If you arcade stick is seen by Windows as a keyboard like how the X-Arcade Tankstick is then you just have to map the buttons in the keyboard section of BigBox's options.
  11. Hmm, not sure exactly what to tell you because I don't use the scan for added roms tool or ScummVM. The best I can tell you is to just do it like I said above with the search function and drag the selections into LB, it will only import stuff that isn't already imported.
  12. Yes, during the import wizard when in the file manager use the search function to search your roms folder for *.epicfail and only those file types will show, you can then select all and import them. Alternatively you can just use the file manager on it's own and search the exact same way and then select all and drag into LB, this is my preferred method of importing games and files.
  13. Did you set your command line parameters ? It should be: -b -e You can also check out this tutorial video:
  14. I would recommend other emulators for consoles, Retroarch and the their console emulator cores are best for those. You can do some consoles with Mame but that is a bit more advanced and takes some extra effort to do because of bios and command line requirements and Mame emulation for consoles for the most part is not best though that does vary from system to system.
  15. You have to do each path, you can add multiple paths by separating them with a semi colon ";" and you should probably surround the whole thing in quotes. So for example you will want something along the lines of this: rompath "E:\path1\to\roms;E:\path2\to\roms;E:\path3\to\roms"
  16. It does but I cant remember exactly where it's all at, it could be in the core options in the quick menu or maybe in the Tab menu, i'm not sure. No video that I know of but I do have a Mame guide here: Just set it up like I have laid out in that guide and enable the stuff I have said here in this thread.
  17. Yeah, I don't like the Mame core in RA for a few small but personal preference reasons.
  18. Oh, you are using Retroarch ? I think RA handles all that in the core options but i'm not sure, I only use the stand alone Mame.
  19. Mame Retroarch is super simple, just import and choose RA with the Mame core you want and you are good to go, no messing with ini files or anything.
  20. If anyone has downloaded the Launchbox installer from somewhere else they are doing it wrong.
  21. Just tested this out on my main system and the mouse works perfectly when loading through Launchbox.
  22. I haven't used Maximus Arcade in a very long time and even then it was only briefly, does it have its own configuration files for emulators like how RocketLauncher does ? or does it use the emulators config files ? Every one of my trackball games work through LB using the standard command line version of Mame. My HTPC has a Tankstick hooked up to it with a full Mame rom set and all the trackball games work.
  23. Why not just use the "Create Shortcut" function in D-Fend and then put all your shortcutes in a folder which essentially just becomes a roms folder and then import the shortcut files into LB like any other Windows game ?
  24. I have never had LB re-download media that was already present and the cleanup tool removed any media for games you do not have imported into Launchbox.
