This is why I asked if they are actual console roms or Megaplay roms. Sega has some arcade versions of certain console games, kind of like Nintendos Playchoice 10 stuff.
-
You probably have to set your controls for that machince. Are the actual Genesis / Mega Drive roms or arcade Megaplay roms ?
-
Try reinstalling the latest version over top of your current install. On a side note, your subscription running out won't make Launchbox not load, you would only lose the ability to receive updates on your license.
-
The left side stuff is either a platform or playlist. You can have LB generate the playlists for your and those that you mention will be generated along with others (I personally don't recommend this) or you can manually make playslists yourself which takes more time but is better. The auto generated playlists can cause performance issues if you are missing games that the playlists are looking for. If you have those sets (CPS1,2 and 3) broken out into their own rom sets you can import to their own platform and then set your emulators Associated Paths to use those platforms. Is this in Mame or a Sega Genesis / Mega Drive emulator ? I believe videos are a premium feature, it's been so long I can never remember which things are premium only now.

Pause menu is coming, bezels wont be coming.

A lot of the new stuff that people wanted for Launchbox / BigBox was going to be difficult and time consuming to implement so Jason rewrote Launchbox to make future development easier. It was a step backwards to make going forward much easier. As DOS76 said, Launchbox Next is close to done aside from some annoying hard to pin down bugs, once those are ironed out the bigger new features from the last poll will be worked on.

Mame 200 NoFiller Batch Copy View File What is this ? This is a batch file for people who only want to have a clean and streamlined set of games in their Arcade platform. It will copy out a curated set of roms from a full Mame rom set. The list of games selected was based off of input from people here on the forums, discord and my own personal experience playing these games growing up in the arcades back in the 80s and 90s. There are 434 rom files that will be copied out but there are some duplicates of a few games that have 2 or 4 player versions such as TMNT or Gauntlet for example, you can pick which one you want to use in your setup. (see below) This is not the end all be all set of games of course but it is a good solid base to build your own personal set from rather than trying to pare down a complete set of roms. I tried not to include games that had really funky controls or light gun games though I did include some trackball and spinner games. Included in the zip file you will find a batch file, spreadsheet document and 2 text files (1 list of roms and 1 list of games). The spreadsheet will allow people an easy way to maintain and add games as required. The rom list will make it easy to download only those files if you use a seedbox to get your roms from a torrent and the games list will let you compare what you have imported into Launchbox to see if anything is missing. How to use this: First you will need to download the Non-Merged rom set that the batch file was made with which is version 0.200, using a different set than the bat file was intended for may or may not cause incompatibilities in roms. Then simply copy the batch file into the folder with all of the roms and double click the bat file, it will make a new folder within that folder and copy all of the roms into that newly created folder. From there you can copy that new folder of roms to anywhere you like and import them into Launchbox, be sure to update your rom path in your mame.ini to point this rom set location. You can now do whatever you like with your full set you downloaded, it is no longer needed for the NoFiller set to function, though you may want to keep a backup just in case. Games that have problems importing into LB, will need to be imported individually. Akai Katana - akatana.zip Crossed Swords 2 - crswd2bl.zip KaGeKi - kagekiu.zip Sailormoon - sailormnnu.zip Wrestlefest - wwfwfestu.zip Games that have more than 1 rom file for 2 player or split screen variant. darius2 (3 screen) darius2d (2 screen) gauntlet (4 player) gauntlet2p (2 player) tmnt (4 player) tmnt2pj (2 player) xmen (4 player, 1 screen, pick any character) xmen6pu (6 player, 2 screen, coin slot determines character) If you think I have missed some extremely important games that I overlooked and desperately need to be added feel free to post in the thread below and I will consider adding them in a future update. Mame 0.200 has been released and the batch file has been updated along with it. 9 new games were added to the last batch file and as a bonus I added a NeoGeo NoFiller batch file which has a total of 63 games in it, though 45 of the games in that batch file is the exact same as the Mame one. Here is the list of games and rom files added to the 200 release. Assault assault.zip Asteroids asteroid.zip Centipede centiped.zip Commando commando.zip Contra contra.zip Millipede milliped.zip Missile Command missile.zip Tempest tempest.zip Toki tokiu.zip

If you are running into performance issues with Retroarch like stutters and whatnot you are best to check over on their forums for help. It could be any number of causes from drivers to settings you may have changed or the core you are using.
-
Updated the SNES again to include Star Fox 2 since it is in the updated No-Intro sets.
-
I could and may put Centipede and Missile Command in since they can be played with a mouse easy enough and trackballs aren't terribly uncommon with people having Tanksticks. Track & Field though I won't be adding.
-
We have a ton of video and written tutorials which will cover pretty much all of the common and even not so common issues and questions. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/34217-guides-tutorials/
-
Ok, you really need to check out the tutorial videos at this point.

Retroarch and Mednafen (which the RA core is based on) is more particular over the disk images you use. Generally speaking though I have found that if the game is in cue + bin format it will work in RA. Saturn games tend to be more problematic with the disk images from the paradise.
-
PS1 games from the paradise are generally ok but they can be hit and miss.
-
Yeah, I most likely have a slightly outdated No-Intro set then.
-
I am currently making a list of games to add to the 200 update and right now that is only 6 games: Assault Asteroids Commando Contra Tempest Toki 200 release is coming up fast so if there are any suggestions for it feel free to let me know soon.

Of all the NES emulators you could have switched to you picked Higan ? Higan is a fantastic SNES emulator but even Byuu admits that the other systems it emulates is not that good yet. Mesen would be the best option followed by Nestopia or even BizHawk.

No problem, glad you got it all sorted.
