Well the controller keyboard mappers was just a first guess, thought maybe you had something bound in that was mimicking Alt + Tab possibly. Of course it could be something else causing it but it's not something I have run into myself.

Are you using any software such as Joy2Key, XPadder, AntiMicro or Controller Companion ?

Easy, you use a keyboard when setting it up and map a button or button combo of your choice in Mame or in LB.

I wouldn't worry about it but I have relayed this to Jason.

Updated the Genesis list and batch file to include Altered Beast.

If a game shows in one it should show in the other because both Launchbox and BigBox use the exact same platform xml files and follow the same rules.

The game still has major problems with the Mupen64 core in Retroarch but stand alone Mupen64plus runs it fine.

You set the ForceNeoGeomode to Unibios and then when you load a game you will see the green Unibios screen. At the screen press your A+B+C buttons that you have mapped for the FBA core, this will bring you into the Unibios configuration screen. In here you can make all the adjustments like region and AES / MVS among other things. Follow the on screen instructions for the Unibios settings, once you are done press the C button to exit the Unibios and into the game. You should then be able to close the game and when you reload it the settings you had set previously should be there, again though this will have to be done per game as far as I am aware of for now.

Strangely enough I just tried messing with the Unibios again and changing settings and it saved them but it is a per game basis unless there is something else im missing. I wonder if it was a recent core update that fixed the Unibios saving or I was just an idiot all along.

The previous reply was just doing what I said but editing the config file in notepad instead. As for the bios I never had any luck getting that to save when making changes in the Unibios, maybe im missing something though.

It's extremely unlikely Launchbox is the cause of it because Launchbox does nothing to interfere with the settings. Launchbox only tells RA to load and with what game and core, RA just calls the settings from its configs that you set unless you tell it to load a specific config using a custom command line in LB which it does not do by default.

If you're confident it's a problem then you can ask about it on the Retroarch forums. I know @Zombeaver uses RA Mame and I haven't seen him mention any controller mapping issues.

Not sure what to say then, it's always worked for me with RA Mame when I have used it. I just stick to stand alone Mame now.

When you load a game press Tab on your keyboard, it will bring up the "Mame Tab Menu" Select Input (General) and map your controls in there, that will then be the default controller settings. Then when you want different controls for a specific game load up the game and press Tab and use the Input (this Machine) menu entry. These will be your per game controls using the Mame core.

Well if the bottom bar was showing it's pretty easy to tell if it's turned all the way down. Looks just like any normal volume knob with the volume all the way down.

Like I said, this is weird because Launchbox only launches with the configs that RA uses unless you are telling it to use a custom config via command line. All Launchbox does is it tells Retroarch to load with the specific rom and Retroarch uses the config files it has. Are you by chance using any custom configs that you are calling in LB for Retroarch ?

Yeah that too, forgot that you can set a controller combo in Mame itself.
