  1. 3 answers for the price of 1, you can't beat that deal.
  2. The best method is to create a folder and make shortcuts to your PC games and put them in the folder. This becomes you r"roms" folder which you just simply import into Launchbox and the first popup box when importing you will see 3 options, pick the "none of the above" and then pick Windows as the platform.
  3. It's in my post below your original post.
  4. Watch the video in my post, it will show you everything you need.
  5. You can make your own custom category and set them up using that platform but scraping them may be an issue since I don't think there is a Mugen platform in the database. Keeping them separated is easy enough though. This just so happened to have been added to the Launchbox Youtube tutorials today.
  6. Not sure how you got them separated unless you went through the hassle of custom configs and telling Launchbox to load those configs using the command line. Having the separated cores eliminates all that mucking about.
  7. It's all good. Yeah I don't know how many rom hacks will get the MSU-1 treatment. The best boxart I could use for now was this one. It's ok but not exactly the best. I wish I could find a good flat view copy of this one:
  8. More platforms and more games causing slow down was an old problem but has been solved.
  9. Having said that one workaround albeit a messy one is to make playlists of the platforms you want shown and have BigBox show the playlists instead of the platforms.
  10. You can't hide platforms right now unless you remove the games from the platform.
  11. I agree that something like this would be an interesting feature if it could be built into Launchbox somehow but the specifics of what and how would be the trick. I like the overall idea though.
  12. Enable fullscreen in the options menu. Options > nullDC settings
  13. The updated split cores are in the download on the download page.
  14. You won't be disappointed. I have my Retroarch setup to use the Hori for the d-pad console cores and my 360 controller for N64 and any PS1 games that require analog controls.
  15. I absolutely love my Hori FC, the d-pad is perfection and it has plenty of buttons along with the layout for just about anything up to and including the Saturn controller layout. You can make do with other controllers to mimic the 6 button Genesis, TurboGrafx, Saturn and 6 button fighting games but the Hori just does it so perfectly. Just my 2 cents of course
  16. Open the manage emulators window and make sure its pointing to your Snes9x emulator. Then select all your SNES games, right click and edit to bring up the bulk editor and change the emulator to your Snes9x. By the sounds of it either your Snes9x path got messed up somehow or your emulator associated with your SNES roms did.
  17. It should be fine, I use it on my HTPC which uses Windows 7 and a Radeon 7800 series card.
  18. Maybe, what sort of graphics card are you using ?
  19. Not sure what is going wrong for you then, enabling hlsl in the ini file and dropping the raster.ini file into the proper folder should have it on when you load up a game.
  20. This is most likely the bilinear filtering which is under: # OSD ACCELERATED VIDEO OPTIONS # filter 0 If you have a 1 in your mame.ini change it to 0, it should be off if using a shader. Did you enable HLSL in your mame.ini file ? Set hlsl_enable to 1 # DIRECT3D POST-PROCESSING OPTIONS # hlslpath hlsl hlsl_enable 1
  21. The tilde key should bring up the slider at the bottom and then use your arrow keys to scroll through the different ones til you find the HLSL sliders. Keep in mind though changing those sliders will only remain while that game is loaded, it won't remember those settings after you close out the game. To make permanent changes you need to edit the raster.ini file in the \ini\presets\ folder I'd suggest downloading my HLSL preset and seeing how they look, I think they look extremely good but of course personal preferences vary. Instructions are on the download page.
  22. For modern games or anything requiring an analog stick I would say either Xbox or Playstation controller based on your personal preference in analog stick position. For non analog stick d-pad only games and systems the Hori Fighting Commander is by far the best out there https://www.amazon.com/HORI-Fighting-Commander-Officially-Licensed-Microsoft/dp/B01MSEPQ55/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1509843285&sr=8-2&keywords=hori+fighting+commander There is a black PS version as well if you would rather the black colour.
  23. Funny because VLC works better for me than WMP.
