  1. The split set also has the no-cd version of the games. The non merged rom set still requires the CHDs if you don't use the no-cd version of the games, the CHD set is a separate download.
  2. Or you could just use the No-CD versions of those games and make your life easy.
  3. Just make a new emulator entry in LB and point it to RA, add the platform and the core you want and then you can choose that emulator for each game you want to use that core with. You don't need to set up any new emulators at all either, just point to your existing setup.
  4. Remove the license.xml file from your Launchbox installation folder and it should work barring some other issue like a missing dependency or corrupted file.
  5. LOL, you can't defend your lies that are so obviously debunked so you block me. This is twice now I have shot your lies down with provable facts.
  6. God, you are so full of shit, it was on the last poll from 2019 and it was voted at #18 so it made the cut. It just took a while to get to because it was on the lower end of the voted for items to make it and it took quite a bit of code work to do it.
  7. Don't use the installer versions, just use the standard zip versions and extract it over the old version.
  8. When the stuff from the last one is completed. When Jason does a poll he puts 40 items on it taken from a list of things submitted on the bitbucket page. The top 20 voted for items make the cut and get worked on and when those 20 items are completed he does a new poll. The stuff from the last poll is getting close to completion now, in fact the last thing is being worked on now, BigBox Wall View Overhaul. You can see the last poll here: And as can be seen in the poll results last time Parental Controls was #35 out of 40.
  9. Again, it's up to the polls which is voted on by the community. This feature does very poorly every time it's on there. Maybe the next poll it will be on there again and maybe it will get enough votes to make the cut.
  10. So are the people who vote on the polls. Insulted you how ? Show me where we insulted you. You're the one here acting all entitled because you are a paying customer, so are many other people who don't share your opinion of what features should and shouldn't be in the software. You asked your question, you got honest straight forward answers, we can't help it you don't agree with the answer. We aren't jerks just because you don't agree with the answer given to your question. This is a you issue, not us. If you go back and read this thread and others asking for the same thing you will find we agree that would be a good feature but the polls dictate the majority of the users don't care about it. It really does very poorly on the polls when it is on there, like bottom 5 out of 40 possible features.
  11. The first thing i'd check is the emulator settings in LB and see if you have the extract roms box checked which you do not want for arcade roms.
  12. Based on what you have detailed here I would check that you have the correct files for the non working games imported into LB. For example, if your games are in cue + bin format make sure you have the cue file imported and not the bin.
  13. Well unless Jason decides to abandon all the current work and start over using some other programming method it's not going to change. You can either accept this or go find another frontend that suits your needs.
  14. From what I understand new features don't really slow it down though, it's just a limitation of the tools and code Jason uses to develop LB. Where I would start first with attempting to speed it up is remove any unnecessary media and use a theme that uses very little media. Personally I only use box art and gameplay screenshots and the Fundamental theme in BigBox. I also turn off all the eye candy effects like transition animations. If that doesn't help then maybe you could have different Launchbox setups for different types of game sets. One for Arcade systems, a second for home consoles, a third for computer and so on.
  15. This has been brought up in the past and the thing is there is no magic switch that Jason can just flip and have LB/BB run butter smooth when it comes to dealing with large (or in your case, extremely large) libraries. If there was he would have done it long ago. It's a known fact that LB/BB has higher system requirements than other frontends because of the way it is built but because of how it is built is what allows Jason to develop it and ad new features as quickly as he does while other front ends lag behind in their development of new features. Like Neil said, Jason is always looking to improve performance and he does from time to time find little things that do help with it but it's not going to magically load or respond instantly with such large libraries with a simple piece of code.
  16. There hasn't been a poll since the last poll because the stuff from the previous poll is still being finished up. Right, cause people don't know what they want unless you tell them and Jason does what you want.
  17. There is no argument about it. I'll just repeat what I have already said in this thread, it gets on the polls but never gets many votes so it doesn't make it beyond the poll stage. People want other things more so that gets the time dedicated to implementing it. The people that actually want it are vocal but unfortunately in the very small minority.
  18. Just remove the games from LB and re-import the cue files (assuming they they are cue + bin format) and deselect all the media during the importer, all your old media should still all work and your import should only take a minute or so.
  19. Try moving any config or ini files related to the games that are using the wheel to the main Mame folder (where the mame exe is located). For some reason Mame and Launchbox seem to have an issue where Mame doesn't read ini files not in the main folder.
  20. Your best bet is to just make a shortcut file and edit it to add in the parameters required and import the shortcut file. I put all my Windows games shortcuts in a single folder and import those like roms in one go and select the "None of the above" option at the first import wizard sacreen.
  21. Please don't post links to roms or other copyrighted content.
  22. I would suggest using stand alone Mame over the RA core, it behaves much better with controllers than RA.
  23. That's actually a very poor CPU and if you don't have a dedicated GPU to go with that won't help either.
