  1. You are showing TurboGrafx CD games not working but in your associated platforms list you only show a TurboGrafx 16 platform, no CD platform. You need to have your Associated Platforms added and named correctly.
  2. Lol yeah I had 2 thoughts at once and crossed by brain and fingers up.
  3. Yes. If you choose to do a custom pack you would need to know what set they are from.
  4. It's my HLSL settings in Mame which does have an effect on how the graphics look but as you can see, there isn't a huge difference in art style, yes there is some but not huge.
  5. Again, I don't see that level of "shiny" and "polish" you are talking about. Sure the graphics and art evolved some but it was a giant leap to the modern smooth hand drawn style of art like you see in some newer shmups. Ikuaruga has a more modern and "shiny" style and no one has every complained about it. Dreamcast screenshot.
  6. When you say Mednafen I assume you mean Mupen ? Yes, no question that the Angrylion rdp plus plugin is the most accurate N64 emulation we have and it's available in the Parallel core in Retroarch core as well but as you say it requires a very beefy system to run with all the accuracy settings without losing frames.
  7. I wouldn't say DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou is "polished", "shiny", or "modern" at all, it's not like it uses modern smooth hand drawn art, it's just a slightly more evolved DoDonPachi. I don't agree that Battle Garegga is over rated or over obsessed at all, the game play is very solid but I will agree that the small bullets that have a very similar colour as the backgrounds make it a bit difficult to enjoy. The list is just that, a list that just happens to be tallied up and sorted based on what a bunch of hardcore shmup players that frequent those forums prefer. It's all about personal preference and opinions and like the old saying goes, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink.
  8. Also remember to add that new custom platform to your emulators associated platforms list.
  9. This is correct, platforms don't show if there are no games imported for it. Just import the games by dragging them into Launchbox and when it asks for a platform just type in the name of the platform, Launchbox will create it and add the game to it.
  10. Lol yeah I know paying for games is a foreign concept for some A $2 sale is dirt cheap though and the only ways to play this game is Steam and Nesica. It was rated #5 on the Shmups top 25 shmups in this years voting so it's a good one. https://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?p=1356295#p1356295
  11. If you imported them to use RA you have to use the bulk edit tool to change them to Mame. To change your emulator for all your games in a platform you need to select your platform, then select all the games in the platform by pressing Control + A on the keyboard. Now with all the games selected press Control + E, this will start the bulk edit wizard. In the first dropdown menu select what you want to change which in this case is the emulator, then a 2nd dropdown menu will appear, select the emulator you want to change to. Now finish out the wizard and your games will be using the new emulator.
  12. Then there might be a paths issue since you are doing it over a network drive. I'll tag @Jason Carr and @DOS76, they should be able to speak to that better than I can since I don't do my stuff over the network.
  13. Can you post a screenshot of your Associated Platforms tab ? Does the platform name in there match the platform name your Mame roms are imported to ?
  14. Just keep in mind the 50$ is in US funds, I don't believe there are any extra taxes though.
  15. Crimzon Clover is on sale on Steam right now for 2$ for anyone interested. https://store.steampowered.com/app/285440/Crimzon_Clover_WORLD_IGNITION/
  16. @Lawrence You can get a pre-paid credit card if that makes it easier for you.
  17. I moved this thread to a more appropriate section.
  18. You can set up per game profiles in Cemu easily.

Pauls Hardware on YouTube has great builds based on certain budgets and he recently did a video showing a build for approx $850 at the time with a Ryzen 2600. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/paulshardware/saved/YVkhyc?ref=paul Intel is still the kings of emulation because of their instructions per clock cycle but the gap has closed significantly compared to their previous CPUs. I have a Ryzen 2700X in my current PC build and it handles Cemu and RPCS3 without issue, Zelda BotW runs at a solid 60 fps. He also did an Intel build for roughly the same price if you prefer the Intel route: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/paulshardware/saved/8dyvnQ?ref=paul Of course if you are free to change things around to suit your needs and preferences, those 2 builds should leave you enough wiggle room should you wish to make a couple of small upgrades.
  20. Yeah the Raspberry Pi is IMHO a very poor emulation experience, the only thing it has going for it is price. Getting back to RA vs MiSTer though I would say looking at the overall package there are pros and cons to each. RA and software emulation on a PC with a frontend like Launchbox you have far more options, more emulator choice, more games in Mame, enhancements like texture packs. This comes at the expense of a financial cost, you really need a good CPU to drive these emulators well, a good graphics card for the newer 3D systems and shaders and a good low latency gaming monitor to reduce input latency as much as you can. On the MiSTer side you get less options but what you get is superb in its quality and ease of hookup to a CRT compared to a modern PC with software emulators. The only way to get better quality and accuracy is to play on real hardware which is getting more expensive, especially the games or buy a flash cart for each system, this cost adds up quickly.
  21. As far as I am aware of this is part of the plan with pause screens.
  22. "Perfectly" is such a loaded term because software emulation no matter how good it can be will never be "perfect". You will never get rid of the input lag that is inherent to the serial processing nature of it, it simply isn't possible. Yes it can be really damn good and good enough for the vast majority of people, I certainly don't subscribe to the school of though that software emulation is garbage, I wouldn't be here if I was. All of those emulators are fantastic and are very close to perfect to in it's raw emulation but like I said in my previous posts, it's the rest of the stuff like Windows and drivers getting in the way. The arcade emulation on the MiSTer is quite limited right now, Mame in terms of sheer volume of games emulated has the advantage over MiSTer but the games MiSTer does is better emulated than Mame. One example of this apparently is Ghosts N Goblins, Mame (from what I have read) runs the game at a slightly off speed while MiSTers GnG core is exact.
