  1. Coming from someone who had very similar concerns with you in the not so distant past, I can say that TeknoParrot is safe to use, as long as you download it from a reputable website of course. I think because TeknoParrot is not really an emulator, and is more of a 'hack' than anything else, the program causes a lot of false positive malware warnings, and the same goes with Game Loader RH as well. Those particular arcade games are all programmed for use in Windows, and TeknoParrot essentially goes around the copy/hack protection, so that you can play those same (Windows) games on your own computer. The C++ and DirectX libraries that you mentioned won't mess anything up either. In short, it's a bit of a hassle to get up and running properly, but very much worth it since there are some extremely nice arcade games available for both systems (TP and Game Loader)
  2. Oops! Yes, what I meant to say is that "I discovered..." with the help of some other very helpful community members here ?
  3. No worries! There's one I discovered here (link below) that you can incorporate the videos you made and it works quite well: Platform Boot Videos Theme - Startup Themes - LaunchBox Community Forums (launchbox-app.com)
  4. Very simple but cool! Looking forward to the release of this theme!
  5. These are really nice looking! Do you plan to make a startup theme that can incorporate these videos?
  6. Great work once again! Thanks a lot for sharing this
  7. Wow! Looks great! I especially like the games text-list view. Just hope that you'll make the community theme creator files available later, so that I can adjust the background colors
  8. Yep, definitely back up anything important first. If you still have any issues, I'd advise sending a PM to the author of Community Theme Creator.
  9. Before you unzip the main program (in its compressed form) be sure to right click on the file, then go down to "Properties" and make sure to uncheck the security box. After that, you can decompress (unzip) the files and should be able to use Community Theme Creator properly
  10. Sounds great. Thanks a lot for the update!
  11. Yep, here you go. I'm running my screen at 3840x2160 What would be great, also, is if you could use a screenshot of the game instead of the fanart. I say that because I don't use fanart all that much, hence the image of the Sega Genesis, shown here
  12. Just tried this one out and there seems to be some weird issues. I've tried several startup themes with little to no issues, but when I use this one, the emulator doesn't start and my mouse-cursor disappears. The only way I can get the cursor to return and get the system back to normal is by logging out or rebooting. Update: Never mind! Please disregard that last message. I realized that the folder name couldn't be changed, and that fixed the problem However, you may want to repack this file in a folder of the same name, to avoid any possible (future) issues. Also, is there any way I could change the code to make the box (sizes) bigger? On my large monitor, they're so tiny that I can barely see them
  13. Make sure you have your system artwork in the "fanart" folder. It should be placed in the folder structure: \LaunchBox\Images\Platforms\Sony Playstation 2\fanart\
  14. It sounds like you're missing a step, because I had that same error before too. You may want to try to start fresh, backup any important files and then delete the cfg/ini files. When you start again, 1st step - add all Atari Jaguar, 3DO games to ProjectPhoenix and also choose the bios file, and exit the emulator. Then, run _Phoenix_Rom_Launcher and click on the "backup" button. I don't think my xml file will make much difference, but you should check your _Phoenix_Rom_Launcher xml file and make sure it has your games listed there, and if they're not therem then you'll get that same error, just as I did before.
  15. Totally understand your frustration with this weird emulator. Okay try this: Before you do anything, backup and then delete the "_Phoenix_Rom_Launcher" xml file. Then, in ProjectPhoenix, add your Jaguar roms. When you run the game the first time, you'll see a window which will ask you to make a backup of the xml file. The next time you run the game, it should work, as I was just able to do with BattleSphere a few minutes ago. Keep in mind that anytime you add games (later) for either Jaguar or 3DO, you'll have to do this process again
  16. I'd agree with kidshaolin that Retroarch is the better option and a lot easier to set up with those 2 systems, but have you tried the tutorial here? Just another Phoenix rom launcher... - Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Development and Beta Testing) - LaunchBox Community Forums (launchbox-app.com) Just make sure that you set up and select the bios within Phoenix before using this plugin. Another important tip to know is that Phoenix doesn't read .cue or .chd files, and only uses .iso .bin and .img. It took me about 10 or 15 minutes to get it figured out with this plugin, but it's running nicely now.
  17. No worries! Glad to hear you got it worked out
  18. Yes, this is possible. Within BigBox, go to "Options" - "Views" and check the setting remember (and stay with) separate view for each platform. You can also set different themes per platform, which requires setting a hotkey (in BigBox settings) where you change the theme while in that particular platform
  19. Strange. I'll try it with a fresh install of Launchbox/BigBox and see what happens. Does it matter which version Windows you're running? I'm using the 2020 version (updated) of Windows 10 Pro Update: I just tried it with a new/fresh install of LaunchBox and the results were the same - stops at Nintendo 3DS
  20. For me, it was "Kobito Game Taizen" within the Nintendo 3DS folder. I'm using the latest forum build also
  21. Okay, sounds good. Thanks for the quick reply. By the way, I tried this feature with version 1.85 and the most recent 1.87 and had the same results
  22. @y2guru hope you're doing well and enjoying the new year so far. Just wanted to contact you to let you know I have a minor problem with the "fake rom builder" feature. For some reason, it stops halfway, or in my case it stops at Nintendo 3DS, and everything from N - Z is not included there. Were you aware of this, or this a bug only on my system?
