  1. It sounds like you're missing a step, because I had that same error before too. You may want to try to start fresh, backup any important files and then delete the cfg/ini files. When you start again, 1st step - add all Atari Jaguar, 3DO games to ProjectPhoenix and also choose the bios file, and exit the emulator. Then, run _Phoenix_Rom_Launcher and click on the "backup" button. I don't think my xml file will make much difference, but you should check your _Phoenix_Rom_Launcher xml file and make sure it has your games listed there, and if they're not therem then you'll get that same error, just as I did before.
  2. Totally understand your frustration with this weird emulator. Okay try this: Before you do anything, backup and then delete the "_Phoenix_Rom_Launcher" xml file. Then, in ProjectPhoenix, add your Jaguar roms. When you run the game the first time, you'll see a window which will ask you to make a backup of the xml file. The next time you run the game, it should work, as I was just able to do with BattleSphere a few minutes ago. Keep in mind that anytime you add games (later) for either Jaguar or 3DO, you'll have to do this process again
  3. I'd agree with kidshaolin that Retroarch is the better option and a lot easier to set up with those 2 systems, but have you tried the tutorial here? Just another Phoenix rom launcher... - Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Development and Beta Testing) - LaunchBox Community Forums (launchbox-app.com) Just make sure that you set up and select the bios within Phoenix before using this plugin. Another important tip to know is that Phoenix doesn't read .cue or .chd files, and only uses .iso .bin and .img. It took me about 10 or 15 minutes to get it figured out with this plugin, but it's running nicely now.
  4. No worries! Glad to hear you got it worked out
  5. Yes, this is possible. Within BigBox, go to "Options" - "Views" and check the setting remember (and stay with) separate view for each platform. You can also set different themes per platform, which requires setting a hotkey (in BigBox settings) where you change the theme while in that particular platform
  6. Great work once again! Thank you for sharing this
  7. Strange. I'll try it with a fresh install of Launchbox/BigBox and see what happens. Does it matter which version Windows you're running? I'm using the 2020 version (updated) of Windows 10 Pro Update: I just tried it with a new/fresh install of LaunchBox and the results were the same - stops at Nintendo 3DS
  8. For me, it was "Kobito Game Taizen" within the Nintendo 3DS folder. I'm using the latest forum build also
  9. the latest beta, 11.9 beta 6
  10. Okay, sounds good. Thanks for the quick reply. By the way, I tried this feature with version 1.85 and the most recent 1.87 and had the same results
  11. @y2guru hope you're doing well and enjoying the new year so far. Just wanted to contact you to let you know I have a minor problem with the "fake rom builder" feature. For some reason, it stops halfway, or in my case it stops at Nintendo 3DS, and everything from N - Z is not included there. Were you aware of this, or this a bug only on my system?
  12. Yep, just noticed the same thing here. Startup time seems to be about 2 to 3 times longer for me after this update
  13. Just some friendly advice for a few of your questions I'd definitely check out the Emulation Wiki, as it gives some really good information as to which emulators are the best for each system https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Main_Page As for theme editing, I highly recommend the Community Theme Creator, which is relatively easy to use and comes with a lot of nice features too Community Theme Creator for BigBox - Third-party Apps and Plugins - LaunchBox Community Forums (launchbox-app.com) Coming from someone who's upgraded their SSD a few times, I'd say that having more space is always better, and a 512gb SSD can easily be found for less than $100. Although if you're playing a lot of the latest systems (PS2, Wii, 3DS, etc.) then you'll probably need an extra (non SSD) hard drive just to store them on, especially if you have a large amount of games. Hope that helps!
  14. Okay, thanks a lot. I'll give it a try
  15. Thanks a lot for this tutorial! By any chance is there an easier way to convert a xbox game folder to an .iso? The program you mentioned (extract-xiso) doesn't seem to work for me
  16. Great work once again! Thanks a lot for sharing this!
  17. Okay, sounds good. I'll try to find the files from the theme, although I'm pretty sure the finished "view" files used in the BigBox theme folder are not compatible with Community Theme Builder.

    3D boxes

From my experience of using LaunchBox/BigBox for the past 5-6 years, there's no way to automatically apply a uniform/universal setting for the 3d boxes, as the box-art representing several platforms come from many different sources, although the mods who gather and upload the artwork do try to keep it pretty consistent. My advice would be to choose "3D Boxes" in "Image Group" for LaunchBox and then find the 3D boxes which don't suit your preference, and then make the necessary changes. Time consuming and a bit annoying, yes, but worth it in the end
  19. No worries! If you wouldn't mind, I could throw something together with the Community Theme Builder that could use a text list instead of clear logos. That way, you could keep the theme as you prefer, and anyone who wants to adjust anything can just do it themselves, in this case - me
  20. This is pretty cool and I certainly like the idea of having a theme exclusively for music videos. However, the main problem I'm having is that it requires logos for each title? I must be missing something, because it just uses giant text for each video title, which doesn't look very attractive. How were you able to get those jukebox labels in there?
  21. Here ya go: Community Theme Creator for BigBox - Third-party Apps and Plugins - LaunchBox Community Forums (launchbox-app.com)
  22. Or, what you could do is use the same artwork from Nostalgia and CoinOp to put something (similar) together with the Community Theme Creator, which will obviously take some time and effort but a lot easier than having to manually code another theme
  23. I'm not totally sure, but you'd have to keep most of the installation files and folders because it's built into the executable (LaunchBox.exe and BigBox.exe), but stuff like games, images, videos, sounds, themes and configuration files within the LaunchBox folder can be interchanged (kept) with either version.
  24. Just to chime in as a long time user of this theme and even a fork of this theme which I put together, I can tell you that it's been broken ever since version 10 (-ish?) of LaunchBox/BigBox. So, I'd advise you to keep your old installation if you want to keep using Nostalgia until the author of this theme applies a fix or update to get it working with the most recent version.
