  1. From the download description: Individual platform artwork not showing up?: The media files that are inside the “..\LaunchBox\Themes\Unified\Images\Theme\..” folder have to be named exactly like your platforms inside LaunchBox. I've went with the HyperList/RocketLauncher naming conventions for the filenames in this package. If Big Box doesn’t show any individual artwork for a system that is listed above you may need to manually rename the relevant files for that platform in all four sub-folders.
  2. Unfortunately is that line already on its limit when it comes to longer publisher or genre names respectively combinations of many genres. I definitely plan to modify the default TextList Games View as well. I’ve played around with it and unfortunately I can’t properly fade it in and out due some technical reasons for triggering the animation. That’s why it didn’t make the cut for the initial release but I’ll definitely come back to it.
  3. I thought about it but I couldn't find a nice spot for it. I'll see if I can come up with something for the next update.
  4. No theme update, I've just replaced a screenshot in the description. Sorry if you got an update notification because of that.
  5. Unfortunately not at this moment. You have to manually change the Games View for that.
  6. Happy easter everybody. I just released my new Big Box theme, it's a port of the well beloved HyperSpin Unfied Widescreen Megatheme Project. And yes, it also features the spinning discs. I assure you it's no April fools joke Also sorry to everybody who rather wanted to see me working more on AeonMQ7. I promise I'll come back to it soon enough!

  8. Happy Easter everybody! I hope you like my little surprise here (this is not an April fools joke!). I love the Unified Megatheme Project and therefore it was the last piece that I was missing in LaunchBox when I gave up on HyperSpin. While I was working on this theme I’ve also made over 50 new Unified Platform Videos. They are not available yet on the EmuMovies website or through the LaunchBox platform video downloader but it’ll be just a matter of time when they will be uploaded there. In the meantime you can get them already on the EmuMovies FTP server in my upload folder in case you are an EmuMovies premium member: /Upload Here/_Video Snap Submissions/CriticalCid/Platform Videos There are still 13 platform videos missing to complete the set of this theme. I’ll do them in the next few days, so keep an eye out on my FTP folder.
  9. Unified View File This theme is a port of the HyperSpin Unified Widescreen Megatheme project, which was originally started by gibbawho and continued by many other talented artists over the years. It’s supposed to bring a unified look (hence the name) across all platforms while giving every platform it’s own individual touch. I’ve tried to stay very close to the original look and feel but also took some creative freedom, especially when it comes to the new fading info panel at the bottom of the screen. This theme was designed for 16:9 screens and display resolutions only. Big Box will automatically scale itself to a 16:9 aspect ratio when you use a different aspect ratio on your machine. Features: Individual Artwork for a lot of different platforms and playlists + some alternatives you can choose from Matches with the Unified platform video set from EmuMovies Fully animated wheel pointer Spinning discs for disc-based platforms Various other custom animations Templates to build your own platform artwork are included as .psd files Brings a small taste of the HyperSpin feeling to your Big Box setup Currently featured Views: Games Text List View: 3D Box Games Vertical Wheel View 1: 3D Box Games Vertical Wheel View 2: 3D Box + static cart/disc Games Vertical Wheel View 3: 3D Box + rotating disc Games Vertical Wheel View 4: Fullscreen video Platform Vertical Wheel View 1: Fullscreen video + scrolling text Platform Vertical Wheel View 2: Fullscreen video without scrolling text More Views are planned, so stay tuned. The theme includes artwork for the following 498 Platforms/Playlists: The theme will also display a default artwork for Platforms/Playlists which are not yet covered or wrongly named. How to install: This theme only works on LaunchBox version 9.4 or higher! Just download the archive and extract it to: “..\LaunchBox\Themes\” Go to the “Plugins” folder inside of the extracted folder and right-click on the .dll file. Choose Properties -> Click on “Unblock” at the bottom of the window. Close the window. If the "Unblock" button isn't there than you are already good to go. Open the Options menu in Big Box -> go to “Views” and change the Theme to "Unified". Change the “Games List View” and “Platforms List View” to one of the currently featured Views that are listed above. Make sure that in the Big Box Options -> Views –> “Show Games List Title” is enabled. Info: Never rename the theme folder! The theme folder has to be named exactly "Unified" or the theme won't work properly! (that's btw. an universal tip for all other themes as well) Known issues: The logo of the Platform/Playlist and the individual video border don't show up in the Game Details screen and the theme displays the generic Big Box logo and metallic video border instead when it gets opened through any other Games View than the Text List View. Tips for tweaking your LaunchBox setup for this theme: In LaunchBox: Tools -> Options -> Cart Front Priorities -> Select all Cart and Disc related entries, deselect everything else. In Big Box: Options ->Transitions -> Change "Game Image/Video Transition” to “Fade” In Big Box: To avoid spinning cart art go to: Options -> Views -> Make sure that „Remember separate View for each platform” is checked. Than go either to the Keyboard Mappings or the Controller Buttons settings and set up a key/button for “Switch View”. Now you can go back to your platforms and switch the games Views for each platform individually on the fly. Use the Unified Platform videos from EmuMovies for an overall uniform look. You can either download them as free user from the EmuMovies website or if you are an EmuMovies premium user you can get them directly through LaunchBox under: Tools -> "Download Platform/Playlist Theme Videos". 11. Sorry for the delay guys. I was working on a new theme which took all of my time. @dnm PlatformWheel2FiltersView.xaml @Styphelus WheelGamesView.xaml TextGamesView.xaml
  12. Actually I've replaced them after the forum switch and they were working the last time I checked. No clue what happened here.
  13. That's true. I've already suggested that to @Jason Carr quite a while ago but he never came to it
  14. It's not a bug, it's a design choice. I noticed that the texts in the two columns scroll asynchronous after a while because of the different text lengths in the columns. As that looked really horrible in my eyes I’ve decided to deactivate the scrolling for the details completely.
  15. As far as I know does the "change image type" button/key only work for CoverFlow elements in non-wheel views. In the wheel views it only allows you to set a specific image type.
  16. I haven't set it up in my current LB installations so I'm probably the wrong guy to ask that but I would say that any newer version should work (as long as you have the proper bios files for it). But before you change the emulator you could also check out the RL tutorial that @pipes78 did for that system.
  17. Unfortunately no, sorry. I haven't set up the Neo Geo CD since a long time. Nowadays I would also tend to just use MAME for it instead of RAINE.
  18. It shouldn't matter with the default engine because it's just a simple path that's not linked to anything. If you open the view the video should play, no matter which filter you use. Yes you shouldn't. Renaming theme folders can break some themes because some file paths are hardcoded to that specific folder name.
  19. Yes, that's quite easy. What version of the theme are you using? I'll try to get you these on this weekend.
  20. Try this: PlatformWheel2FiltersView.xaml You can change the colors in the whole Wheel Glass part that starts on line 47.
  21. The newest version in combination with LB 8.0 does support videos in the Wall VIew-
  22. Not at this point. As this is one of the bundled themes that comes directly with LaunchBox I’ve decided to not add any custom plug-ins to it any more due to stability reasons. So unfortunately I won’t add the weather until it becomes a native feature of Big Box.
