    Assuming you are already familiar with RetroArch and do not any issues setting it up, it mainly boils down to personal preference. The regular Arcade MAME core is kept current to the regular MAME release. Some like running regular MAME or one of its variants vs RetroArch because they already have a large number of MAME specific arts files and bezels (you can still use these with RetroArch, but it does take a little work to bring them under the Retroarch structure). Other than what I've mentioned, I wouldn't really be concerned about it. Both work great once you get some experience under your belt.

    There is a Lightgun ring in Viking's original Silver Ring pack (Silver Ring PlayList_v.1.0). That is why I didn't remake one.

    If you can define your parameters a little better, I can pull the info out of the raw MAME listxml output. Do you only want games like Heavy Barrel and its rotary joystick, or do you want that and also games like Tempest that used a true spinner?

    Jason and company put up polls every so often, then the users vote on which of the requested features get worked on next. There is no poll at the moment, but an announcement and emails normally go out when the next poll is ready.

    No, it isn't just you. That no longer works here either, however, I don't recall if that is by design, or just an item Jason hasn't gotten to yet.

    They are on my todo list. Having said that, I will be taking some time away from the Internet very soon because of medical reasons. I'm not too sure when I'll be able to get to them.

    You will still need to setup all your emulators in RocketLauncherUI, just like with any installation. You also need to modify any RL settings related to fade, bezels, etc. if you want any behavior than the defaults.

    Hopefully these will help. You can see how I have the default background settings set up. This is how that looks. When I click on a game, it changes to this.

    Just noticed something, but could have been like this for a while. I just tried using a custom background in LaunchBox. That appears to work fine, except when I select any game, it changes the background back to the default.

    Please bring up the Edit Emulator screen, then click on Associated Platforms, capture that and post it here. I use Retroarch for the Playstation, which works great for me. My definition looks like this.
