  1. @Jason Carr - Not sure about @DR9 but here are my specs. Windows 10 64 bit Intel core i5-4460 Intel integrated video 4600 And a quick demo of the bug. you can just make out a silhouette of the right click menu. This was after launching one game and coming back to LB.
  2. That actually happens to me all the time as well. It's a minor anoyance I always forget to report. It usually happens after I've had Launchbox open for a while.
  3. Version 1.0.0

    187 downloads

This is an All Killer - No Filler style bat file for lightgun games. Simply place the bat file in you roms folder and double click to run. It will automatically create a lightgun folder and copy the lightgun roms to that folder. List was created by me Jay Thompson, and is probably missing some good games (Terminator 2 is missing for example) but it will get you started. Let me know if there are any games that obviously belong in here that I missed. The original lists exclude Lightgun Games and Trackball Games as part of the no filler mantra. A lot of folks have lightguns on their cabinet so I felt it in the best interest of the community to go ahead and make this. Interested in more All Killer-No Fillers lists? Check out this thread at byoac - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=149708.0 . And this one by @lordmonkushttps://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/282-no-filler-mame-rom-copy-182/ .

  5. I should mention, the playlist feature is currently in beta...
  6. This is a demo of the new playlist feature in Launchbox/Bigbox utilizing a custom Hyperspin lightgun recorded video theme I made. Part of the problem with using Rocketlauncer and Launchbox is the naming issue where Rocketlauncher uses strict naming conventions for each platform. The Playlist feature overcomes this obstacle since Rocketlauncher still uses the platform xml and ignores whatever the playlist is named. This is not really the intended use of the playlist feature, but it is a nice by-product. The great thing about playlists is that you can add any game from any platform into a playlist. While this playlist is currently only MAME games, I could (and will in the future) add any lightgun game from any platform. The Hyperspin Lightgun theme was found in the Hyperspin FTP under the user rdhanded2's folder (although I can't seem to find it now). Thank you rdhanded2 for preserving it. The theme was created by THK and Subzero and discussed in this thread - http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forums/topic/405-shooting-game-theme/ . I didn't like the logo that was used in the theme so I created my own and added it to the theme before recording the video. I will include the logo in the download folder so it can also be used as a Wheel/Clear Logo in Hyperspin or Bigbox. Rocketlauncher fades courtesy of Retrohumanoid - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeP60Vc-kRYCiJ1y2PvxryA Very special thanks to Chuck from Maverick's Arcade for his tutorials on getting Aimtrak lightguns set up on a cabinet. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKQosbJTKWjhxNEYpIXSp4Q This video theme along with the wheel image/clear logo can be found in the link below. I've also included my custom All Killer - No Filler style bat file for extracting lightgun games from your full rom sets. The list probably needs some love so if there are any games that you think need to be included, (or any stinkers that should be removed) let me know below and I'll get them on there. You can the bat file from here as well. https://mega.nz/#F!XwQzVKiJ!LILz81kKfirq1bai_Ug6ww
  7. Below are demos of some of my custom platform media. I've created a link to download the media for anyone that thinks it would be useful in their setup. I call these The Oddballs since they are a little different than what most people are looking for. Magazine Rack uses a custom recorded Hyperspin video. This took some work on my part to set up since I had to remember how to set up a system in Hyperspin again. Original Hyperspin theme author is Iggy. Jukebox was a little easier since I already had this one set up in Hyperspin. Original Hyperspin theme author is Ace. I need to work on some new clear logo media for this one. Comics was stuff I put together I found on the interwebz. All three vids use various OCRemix tunes. Links and credit to the tunes can be found on each vid's Youtube page as well as in the readme file on the media download link I provide below. Download link contains the videos as well as the custom clear logos you see in the videos. No actual comics, magazines or music media is included, just the platform media. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to make these better or if you have any other feedback. https://mega.nz/#F!XwQzVKiJ!LILz81kKfirq1bai_Ug6ww
  8. I've decided to share the media I created for this. Link is below. https://mega.nz/#F!XwQzVKiJ!LILz81kKfirq1bai_Ug6ww
  9. I've decided to share the media for this if anyone is interested. Link is below. https://mega.nz/#F!XwQzVKiJ!LILz81kKfirq1bai_Ug6ww
  10. I've updated the original post with a new video. I recorded an old Hyperspin theme and am using that now. I've decided to share the media if anyone is interested. The link is below. https://mega.nz/#F!XwQzVKiJ!LILz81kKfirq1bai_Ug6ww
  11. Yes it does. And it reads folder.jpgs as well. Below is the setup screen. I find it crazy (yet awesome for us) that the install was in French but everything inside is in English. Not sure why that is but I'm not complaining.
  12. Thanks. Yeah I grew up listening to those guys. Saw them play once in Seattle in the late 80s. Got caught in the mosh, LOL.
  13. A quick presentation of my current jukebox platform in BigBox. Platform utilizes the new multi-rom/app settings available in the latest Launchbox 7.7 betas. This Platform would be much nicer if the apps were able to launch directly from the top level navigation in BigBox, but I'll take what I can get. Video - I custom recorded the Hyperspin Jukebox theme. PM me if interested in obtaining a copy of the vid. Retro Jukebox - http://arcademy.fr/retro-jukebox.html Website is in French. Click Telecharger button to download or translate page to English in Google Chrome and click download. Seriously the best Jukebox software I can find (and I've been around a while). Operates slightly slowly to flip pages, but emulates a real jukebox more closely than anything else I've seen and super easy to set up if your music files are organized properly. Silverjuke - https://www.silverjuke.net/en/ Esc key to abort Silverjuke - EscAborts.dll - https://forum.silverjuke.net/viewtopi... Place file next to Silverjuke.exe in Silverjuke folder. Jukebox Arcade - http://www.extrastrength.com/ - but more specifically can be found by searching for Jukebox Arcade on the Windows Store. Have fun and let me know what you think!
  14. Its all alphabetical. I really, really, really wish @Jason Carr could implement sub categories in the near future. I don't have much faith that the often requested nested filters will do what I'd like to be able to do. I'd like to be able to open say, the Action Comics category and see all the Action Comics there. Perhaps the playlist feature he has been discussing wlll do this? Anyhow, here is another short video showing what it looks like scrolling through my comics platform in Bigbox and opening a few comics. I use CDisplayEX for viewing comics. Works very well on a cabinet with arcade controls. I also show the platform in Launchbox and show where I put the Custom logos I created. Sorry for repeating the opening sequence. I just can't get enough of that opening vid, LOL.

    scummVM

I made that video. As far as I know, this is the only way currently to add all Scummvm roms at once, but I hear you about trying to get away from RL. For me though, there are still too many benefits to using it to give it up just yet.

    Notes Box

That's actually a really good idea. Seems like every emulator has its own little nuance, and it seems like I occasionally have to go back and research how I set things up. Would be really cool if these notes could be exported as well.
  17. I didn't really like the first platform vid I hacked together for Comics in Bigbox so I set out to try something different. The video is some stuff I copied from Youtube along with some pan and zoom (Ken Burns) effect on some, ahem, interesting comic art. Music in the video is from OC Remix - Apex 2013: Straight to the Top: Track 03 Darke's Word (Tekken Tag Tournament 2) [Jason Covenant]. Just realized the background vid wasn't showing in the Cityhunter theme for some reason on this take. Oh well, you get the idea. The clear logos can be found in the downloads section linked below. I won't be sharing the vid on the site because it probably falls into a legal grey area and I don't want the website to get a takedown notice for it, unless of course I get the OK from Jason or one of the mods. Until then however, I can share on a one on one basis if anyone is interested. Just send me a PM. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/231-magazinescomics-platform-stylized-clear-logos/ .
Worked great for me. Now finding lots of hidden gems I previously didn't know about.
  18. That would be pretty cool. What exactly would it scrape? Characters, Series info, Cover art, stuff like that? For my cover art, I used Comic Rack with a plugin that batch extracts the first page of each archive. You have to edit the script slightly so it renames each extracted image the same as the source archive. I found it to be extremely useful for grabbing the cover art for all those comics without going into each one manually. http://comicrack.cyolito.com/forum/13-scripts/3052-extract-only-1st-page-in-archive-cover-page
  19. I recently set up a bunch of comics as a platform in Bigbox. All the comics are in CBR or CBZ format. I use CDisplayEx as the reader. Works very well with an arcade cabinet using a keyboard controller (ipac4) but I understand CDisplayEX may have issues with game controllers. The clear logo can be found in the downloads section linked below. The video is some stuff I copied from Youtube. Music in the video is from OCRemix - Apex 2015: This Is the Moment - Track 09 Girl from Another World (Ultra Street Fighter IV) [Neblix] . I'm sure someone with more talent than me could make a much nicer video, but for now its a nice filler for the platform. Since I made this for personal use and didn't ask permission for the source files, I won't be able to share the video, but to be honest, It was really pretty simple to make if you have any video editing skillz at all. Will I actually read comics on my cabinet? Probably not, LOL
  20. See updated video below. I recently set up a bunch of magazines as a platform in Bigbox. All the magazines were sourced from @RetroHumanoid on his Youtube channel and converted to CBR format. I use CDisplayEx as the reader. Works very well with an arcade cabinet using a keyboard controller (ipac4) but I understand CDisplayEX may have issues with game controllers. The clear logo can be found in the downloads section linked below. The video is some stuff I copied from the MetalJesusRocks channel of him flipping through some magazines. Music in the video is from OCRemix - Apex 2016: I Got Next - Track 2 The Path of Heaven (Street Fighter V) [Neblix]. I'm sure someone with more talent than me could make a much nicer video, but for now its a nice filler for the platform. Since I made this for personal use and didn't ask permission for the source files, I won't be able to share the video, but to be honest, It was really pretty simple to make if you have any video editing skillz at all. Update: I've redone my magazine video. The video is a recorded hyperspin theme using an OCRemix track for the sound. See the youtube page for all the details including a download link for the media.
  21. Very nice @OmenBoy! I love your fades and bezels. These will work great for an arcade cabinet setup. Looking forward to checking out your RL pack. Thanks for the kudos.
  22. Added ticket just now. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2287/request-for-additional-fields-for-pinball
  23. Done! Here is the ticket. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2287/request-for-additional-fields-for-pinball Thanks @Jason Carr
  24. Sweet! I love the marquee. That must have been a challenge getting all the art in place for that.
