  1. Are you signed into retro achievements in Launchbox?
  2. Bigbox just uses the exact same files as Launchbox. The only things you will need to do in Bigbox is adjust some settings that are bigbox only to get it the way you like. All your systems/games just work in bigbox, but as it is a different UI it does have settings in there that are not in Launchbox.
  3. Unfortunately not, your only option is to go back to the old version. There is also no option to toggle this in the premium UI, you would need to actually edit the theme code to remove it, or use another theme.
  4. Sorry i missed this part, yes there are two .exe's in the Launchbox folder, Launchbox.exe and Bigbox.exe, you can also switch to Bigbox from within the Launchbox UI, and switch to Launchbox from within the Bigbox UI
  5. Nothing at all, just drop your license into your existing Launchbox folder and it will be the premium version when opened. With the free version you can still switch to the older theme. When you have a premium license you can download Launchbox themes if you want a change. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/30-launchbox-custom-themes/
  6. Its worth noting you do need Launchbox premium in order to show videos in the program.
  7. Any media you get from there is downloaded to your system, so yes you get to keep it.
  8. That theme is supposed to show carts/discs at the bottom there where you have a clear logo. Have you checked your Cart-front priority settings in launchbox?
  9. No its not available anymore, Launchbox has been completely re-written since then and that is all handled dynamically now.
  10. lol, well not wrong exactly. As i said as you were just launching the game.exe so GOG Galaxy wasn't aware the game had been run. What you are doing there is launching the GOG Galaxy client and having that then launch the game, so yes of course that will then track just fine as its launched through the GOG Galaxy client. That was my original point as the client wasn't launching the game, game time wasn't tracked. Glad you figured out a solution though.

    Amiga Games

Launchbox doesnt care what your filetypes are, its completely up to the emulator and whether or not that supports them or not.
  12. Unfortunately im gonna say that is a game specific issue. The Witcher 3 is DRM free, even when purchased directly from GOG, which means it can be launched at any time without using the GOG client. Which is what i feel is happening here, the game is being launched via its shortcut or .exe, and GOG Galaxy has no idea about it. In fact im guessing you will run into the same issue with any GOG games as well, if its not launched from there client, then its not tracked.
  13. Oh my bad, i could of swore i read that in here somewhere. I cant speak for other users but i certainly noticed a performance hit, even on my relatively decent system when you added it, going into tools/options, or even just clicking on games and waiting for the game details bar to populate was slower than it used to be. I played with it for a day or so and returned to the plex theme. That was on a ryzen 7 1700x with 16gb of ddr4 at 3000mhz and a gtx 1060. I have since upgraded my PC so cant compare exactly now with newer betas as my hardware is much stronger now, but l will take a look in the morning at the new default theme again.
  14. The previous theme is still available if you prefer to use that, which is more than has been offered to free users in the past. Usually any customization of that sort has been a premium only feature, now you have a choice, the same theme you have always used, or a more fancy new one that takes more resources to run.
  15. You cant edit the default theme directly. You would need to make a copy of it and edit the copy. This is a safety feature as to not leave you with a non working theme, and therefore a non working Bigbox.
  16. The steam importer in Launchbox is for importing steam bought games. If you are adding non steam games to steam, like in this case Bigbox, then this sounds very much like a steam issue to me. As to not passing the controls, i believe the issue is that you are launching Bigbox from steam, so that is what has control, steam has no idea that the program it launched (bigbox) then launched another program that you actually want to control.
  17. The quick menu is only available when a game is loaded in a core, you can change settings here and the save a game/core/content override depending on the circumstances, the same apply's in the quick menu controls section, core/game/content save options. Glad you got it sorted.
  18. In the quick menu with a game loaded, set it to dualshock, then in the same menu "save core remap" to save that for that core only.
  19. 1. I would mostly always recommend standard MAME, and not any derivatives, at least initially. 2, MAME UI is like any other version, match your romset. 3. See above. 4. See above.
  20. Gonna throw this out there as its a windows app, could it be the issue i have run into with Launchbox not knowing the app is closed and taking the key set for pause during normal windows use if launchbox is still open?
  21. My guess is your NUC has defaulted to 4k30 and not 4k60. So check the intel graphics panel and see if you can switch it. It could also be that the actual HDMI port, or the cable you are using doesnt actually support 4k60, so its worth checking. It could only be a HDMI 1.4 connector which cant do 4K at 60 at all.
  22. That does sound like a good step forward, assuming that as you say this is a small step towards the full goal. I do wonder though, wouldn't not including all media at all be even better? Say for example that it was all on our database, which as we know is free and open already or maybe as a full pack on say another emumovie place with ftp services? Just throwing some random thoughts out there, some may land, others not.
