  1. You could add a Video platform with VLC as the emulator and the video as the rom.
  2. What he was saying there was that he would add the option to always show the game name overlayed on the box, he never said he would be adding it under the game like the old default theme.
  3. I have a confession to make, i flirted with the new default theme for a day, i did switch back to this though.
  4. Go to the help menu and force update it, does it download?
  5. I have just looked here, im getting the wiki error, but the metadata package downloaded just fine.
  6. It wont, if its not in the list its not in our database.
  7. You can type any name you want in the box, you dont have to pick from the list.
  8. Yeah no cores are included in the download, but are all available through there online updater in the UI.
  9. its called beetle_psx_hw in the retroarch UI.
  10. With those sort of specs i would just use the retroarch hardware core.
  11. In the case of Launchbox it was likely caching images, if you change image type, or use the size slider and the like Launchbox remakes the cache. You can see it doing so by a small bar at the very top of the window that fills from left to right. That hits the cpu hard while its doing the caching.
  12. Obviously i cant speak for grila and whether he has plans to update the theme, but the part quoted i dont believe is possible with the themeing engine. Launchbox just lists platforms or platform categories.
  13. You want "UI Cancel" in MAME.
  14. I just created a text file on PC and named it that game and changed the extension to .iso. Added it to my phone, and imported it with no issues at all.
  15. Oh, i totally missed that this was in the Android section, i need to keep a eye on that. Dolphin is a Gamecube and Wii emulator, so it will work for both those platforms, but you still need to import the game to the correct system. You clearly have Nintendo Wii as the platform there so im guessing you miss clicked when setting up the platform.
  16. Thats working as intended, Launchbox will look in it's own folder for added roms unless you change the path manually via the tools/manage platforms/folders/games tab.
  17. What image type do you have set for that platform in the "Image Group" dropdown at the top of the window?
  18. Well something isnt right there, you have the SuperGrafx platform highlighted, and that platform only has like 5 games for it total. However yours says its showing 915 games. So it looks like the games with no covers are not even for that platform, which would explain why they are not downloaded/shown.
  19. Sounds like you may have a image priority issue. Got to tools/options images and find the image type you actually want showing and make sure that inside that the actual image type is selected and is at the top of the list.
  20. There are no options for that, no. It may be possible in a themes code, but i really don't know there.
  21. Paper Mario games are available on multiple platforms, it sounds like you have the Wii version. The Gamecube version is called "The Thousand Year Door" and is scrapeable as Gamecube.
  22. This is your main issue right here, if you dont have the correct versions of the emulator or MAME roms that actually match that emulator version then its never gonna work correctly. Even having someone come to your home is not going to work as your roms are simply not compatible with the emulator version you are trying to use, there is no amount of MAME setup knowledge that can fix that, incompatible is incompatible. As for paradise they stopped providing roms a long time ago. As has been previously stated you need to get a MAME fullset of roms downloaded, either from pleasuredome or internet archive, and then get the same version of the MAME emulator to match that romset version. The newest romset is 0.216 so use the newest version of MAME which is the same version, if you end up with a older set, say 0.204 for example, then simply go to the MAME emulator site and download the 0.204 version of the emulator to match your roms.
  23. Wow, so after i told you you were on the correct screen to change the view, for both games list and platform, you ignored that completely and moved to a different screen and left it on the exact same view that we were trying to swap you from? The black screen, i will repeat is because you are missing a platform video to show there, either download one or as i said switch the view to one that does not require a fullscreen video. thats skippable on MAME also. looks like you are trying to change a playlists emulator. you cant.
