  1. Thats simply the fact that you do not have any Clear Logos for those systems, so its just plain text instead of a image.
  2. Same. I have my platform named Steam, not Windows. Could the platform name cause any issues? I have another platform called Windows that houses all my non-steam games.
  3. neil9000

    adding box art

Just add it to the relevant folder in Launchbox/Images/name of platform/Box-Front and name it the same as the game
  4. Just checked here with Half Life 2, has a video on steam, but it doesnt list one in the edit window.
  5. Yeah i was about to say, i believe it only works for actual steam games, normal windows games from other stores or discs are not supported.
  6. Correct, so he needs a cable or adapter to go from display port to HDMI 2.0, like i said in my first reply.
  7. You need to go to tools/manage emulators/mame and remove the commandline that was added referring to "keyboard input". As you are using such a old version of mame that command is not compatible so is just seen as a unknown command and stops mame launching.
  8. Yes more or less. You can setup your graphics/audio/control .etc options the once in Retroarch and then use those across the many many different systems that are supported there. As @DOS76 said you dont really need to use there frontend once you have done your initial configuration, Launchbox will launch straight to the game without you seeing the Retroarch UI at all. Of course the UI still works and can be called up at any time with a key/button or combo if you need to tinker with a specific game like it would be if running directly from Retroarch.
  9. Use this plugin to download trailers from youtube.
  10. emumovies sync, its a program for premium emumovies subscribers to scrape artwork/videos for there games outside of doing it directly in the Launchbox UI.
  11. Its not possible to launch it on a second screen as far as i know. You can however use the Pause menu to open the manual and navigate it with a controller or keyboard while in game. Desktop 2019.11.17 - 13.57.36.01.mp4
  12. I have one of these, it is 4k compatible at 60hz, but it's not HDR compatible. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00S0C7QO8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  13. You can get cables with display port one end and HDMI the other, or you can get display port adapters, that plug into the port then you plug the HDMI cable into the other end of the adapter.
  14. I did notice missing images for some games that should probably have them, but i haven't actually looked at the database to see if they are in fact there.
  15. Yeah but he was asking if they run in MAME by itself. If they dont run in just MAME they will never run from Launchbox either.
  16. Ok @Jason Carr, i downloaded version 0.27 this morning and tried importing systems i was having the app kill issue with on 0.26 and all systems imported fine. So whatever you did for 0.27 seems to of fixed the issue, at least for me on my specific phone, which is a Hauwei P20 Pro. If you did indeed limit the cores the import uses in order to lower the hit to the CPU then i certainly didnt notice it, the imports seemed just as fast as they were on 0.26 for me here. So as far as me personally is concerned the issue is fixed on 0.27, but of course you need more of a sample size than one.
  17. Launchbox is file type agnostic, it doesn't know or care what file types the emulators use, it will just import any file types you tell it to. Specifying file types to import on the fly by the program would actually be more limiting than the way it currently works. All those file types would need to be coded in, and when emulators start supporting new file types that needs to be coded into the program itself so that it would know what to import based on the emulator you specified. Thats a lot of additional work considering it already allows any file type you want.
  18. Yeah i believe so, you will need to rename them on the last page of the import wizard, as you will just have a list of eboot.bin's to import.
  19. You need to import the files that the emulator needs to load only, so yes just importing a directory will add a load of unwanted files. Easiest way would to be to use the windows search bar in your PS3 directory to filter to the actual files you want.
  20. If you are not planning on PC gaming at those higher framerates then i would stick tho the 75hz model personally. Its a IPS panel so should have better input lag and grey to grey response than the VA panel. Most systems you are going to emulate are going to be 30 or 60Hz for the most part. Arcade would be a outlier there as there are some weird refresh rates there, but seeing as these are variable refresh monitors they will run at there native framerate without tearing (im not aware of any Arcade games that run below 48 or above 75, although i could be wrong). Having said all that though you dont mention the prices of the two monitors, so if they are in the same ballpark price wise i might be tempted to go with the higher framerate just for future proofing or the ability to re-purpose the monitor down the road for use for actual PC gaming at high refresh rates, bearing in mind the future generation of consoles are also going to be supporting variable refresh rates.
  21. Launchbox is portable, you can just move the whole folder to another drive.
  22. Yeah this is the issue. Bigbox is not designed to be navigated by multiple users. So Bigbox sees all those controllers as the same as it's expected that only one person is driving the interface/UI at once. Of course it is worth mentioning that this has no influence on any emulators, its just the Bigbox UI itself.
  23. Beta 2 is out now guys with the following: New Feature: You can now filter your library in LaunchBox based on missing media. In the sidebar drop down select "Games Missing Media" and then pick the appropriate media type. No worries, glad you found it and that it helps.
