  1. Just tested here and it downloaded just fine.
  2. Startup screens can be anywhere from 0.01 seconds to 30 seconds long and can be set on a per emulator basis from Tools/Manage emulators.
  3. Well those are PC games and not emulators as such, so have there own way of saving which would be different for every game.
  4. This is not a hidden charge, Launchbox will scrape media for you just fine for free. However Game videos, Manuals and Music are from emumovies.
  5. Do you have audio when you have that black screen? If so have you tried disabling startup screens in Bigbox?
  6. Yes, it randomly scrolls and stops on a game, waits for a time that you specify then scrolls again to another random game.
  7. That is attract mode, a feature that randomly shows games after a set period when idle. It can be toggled on/off in the options, as well as other options for it if you leave it turned on.
  8. Yes.

    Save in Big Box

What emulator are you using? The pause features rely on AHK scripts to send key presses to the emulator, so if you dont have any setup then you need to.
  10. I just checked here and mine is working fine. I have mine setup slightly differently though, i just use my username rather than the url. In my steam profile settings i have this. and that is what i input in the import wizard. That works just fine for me and finds my games.
  11. The default checkbox is for imports only, it wont change the emulator after you have imported. To do that just select the platform on the left and click a game in it, then CTRL A to highlight all the games in the platform and right click one and choose edit, this will open the bulk edit wizard. Click next then choose emulator from the dropdown and the emulator to be used from the second dropdown that appears, finish out the wizard.
  12. That is probably your issue, you are using a old rom with the current MAME version. All Capcom games that use the qsound bios file were changed around version 0.184 i believe, so any rom from before then will not work with current MAME versions. This is why MAME romsets and the emulator itself are versioned, because the roms themselves can change when better dumps are made or when MAME itself improves the emulation. Also you may not even have all the files needed for the game, if it is from a non-merged set it will be fine, but if it is from a split or merged set you could be missing files as well as the bios needed for the game to run. Try downloading a version of MAME from around 0.180 or so and see if it works there.
  13. MAME works just fine in Launchbox. What romset is your rom from and what version of MAME are you using?
  14. Ive never used it to be honest, but i expect its Launchbox only, maybe ask the author of it if its possible for Bigbox.
  15. Its supposed to be a combo, you need a "Hold" button as well as the one to actually activate the pause.
  16. The video previews come from emumovies if you pay them a subscription, nothing to do with us that.
  17. Just scrape a platform at a time.
  18. Check that the manage emulator screens if you double click them from where you are in that image have the same checkboxes checked.
  19. Like i said in my first response, you need to do that after Launchbox knows where the roms are.
  20. If you have the games in the Launchbox/Games folder just go to Tools/Scan for added roms or scan for removed roms. If you have your roms elsewhere you will first need to go to Tools/Manage Platforms then the folder tab and browse to the folder with your roms then run the tool.
  21. Yeah, i wasnt having a dig, but images of how you have the emulator setup and the associated platform tab, as well as the edit window of a game that is not working including the emulator tab there would help greatly to spot any issues. Also as a thought what are you naming your platforms, just the default that Launchbox provides? I ask as if you are using different names like just "SNES" for example then that is the name you will need in the associated platform tab as the platform name and the associated platform name must match exactly, otherwise Launchbox doesnt know which emulator to use for the platform.
  22. Oh and yes Sega CD does need a bios file and will not work without it.
  23. First rule of Launchbox is to make sure your roms work in the emulator you want to use before importing them. It helps to narrow down where the issue lies as if they work in the emulator we know its a Launchbox configuration error. At the moment we are just grasping at straws as you have not provided any images or detailed details of how you have things configured other than "it doesnt work". It could be that your roms are simply bad if you havent even tested them in the emulator.
