  1. Its supposed to be a combo, you need a "Hold" button as well as the one to actually activate the pause.
  2. The video previews come from emumovies if you pay them a subscription, nothing to do with us that.
  3. Just scrape a platform at a time.
  4. Check that the manage emulator screens if you double click them from where you are in that image have the same checkboxes checked.
  5. Like i said in my first response, you need to do that after Launchbox knows where the roms are.
  6. If you have the games in the Launchbox/Games folder just go to Tools/Scan for added roms or scan for removed roms. If you have your roms elsewhere you will first need to go to Tools/Manage Platforms then the folder tab and browse to the folder with your roms then run the tool.
  7. Yeah, i wasnt having a dig, but images of how you have the emulator setup and the associated platform tab, as well as the edit window of a game that is not working including the emulator tab there would help greatly to spot any issues. Also as a thought what are you naming your platforms, just the default that Launchbox provides? I ask as if you are using different names like just "SNES" for example then that is the name you will need in the associated platform tab as the platform name and the associated platform name must match exactly, otherwise Launchbox doesnt know which emulator to use for the platform.
  8. Oh and yes Sega CD does need a bios file and will not work without it.
  9. First rule of Launchbox is to make sure your roms work in the emulator you want to use before importing them. It helps to narrow down where the issue lies as if they work in the emulator we know its a Launchbox configuration error. At the moment we are just grasping at straws as you have not provided any images or detailed details of how you have things configured other than "it doesnt work". It could be that your roms are simply bad if you havent even tested them in the emulator.
  10. If retroarch is not working with anything then you have it setup wrong in Launchbox. It works just fine and in fact most people here recommend it due to having one ui with settings and controls across multiple systems.
  11. Did you use the fullset importer when you added your MAME roms. Also i notice you have no artwork either, did you just not scrape any at import? I think the best thing to do would be to delete the emulator and the roms and re-import the system using the fullset importer.
  12. I dont believe so, otherwise it would work just fine as Launchbox works with MAME perfectly well. I still feel there is a configuration error in Launchbox somewhere, its just tracking that down.

    NAS for Roms?

Lots of people use network storage for there roms, as long as you dont actually put Launchbox on it and keep that local it will be fine.
  14. And you have Sega CD as a associated platform for Retroarch, with the genesis_gx core selected for it?
  15. That is how many games actually work in MAME, there are a ton in a fullset that do not currently work. My fullset import of a 0.210 set is 2845 games, as if you leave settings at default when importing it only imports the games that actually work.
  16. Honestly if you were asking me i would absolutely say move to 10, its a much better OS in my opinion.
  17. F6 and F7 are save slot + and - by default in retroarch, although im not sure exactly how they work as i have never used them, i just save to the default.
  18. Yeah, Launchbox works differently to Rocketlauncher and those sort of workarounds are not really needed. Wii U for example you just import the .rpx files as the roms, for mugen i believe you import the game mod.exe and use the standard mugen.exe as the emulator, or straight up launch the game mod.exe like a normal windows game with no emulator associated.
  19. I guess he wants to pick a save slot number rather than it automatically save in slot 0 or whatever the default is. That should be doable with the correct script, just like it is with MAME.
  20. I think what he is saying is he has changed the defaults in Retroarch so he uses a combo for states and the like with his controller, obviously that breaks the pause functionality as his keys are not default.
  21. It could also be a VLC issue, you can try deleting the VLC folder while Launchbox is closed and let it recreate it at launch. Also some images of the actual errors you are receiving would be very helpful to try and help troubleshoot.
  22. Windows 7 is supported still, but you may be missing the latest version of .NET 4.7, this comes with Windows on Windows 10, but you need to manually install it on 7 i believe.
  23. No intro is for console systems up to the 16bit era only (also Sega 32X but thats really just Megadrive). No intro is the recommended set for those systems, but really you can use whatever you want as long as the emulators you are going to use supports that format. Also if you have something other than NO-Intro then you may have issues with scraping in Launchbox if they are poorly named. Edit: Oh and N64 is in No-Intro also.
