  1. You should never stop any installer in the middle, as you will get files from the last version mixed with the new one. Just go to your Launchbox/Updates folder and run whichever installer you want directly over the top of your Launchbox install.
  2. And no, it cannot be disabled. You can of course delete it and let Bigbox/Launchbox resize all the images again, this may save some space if you swap themes all the time and they all use different image types that you no longer need in your current used theme.
  3. Its not just moving the images, it is resizing them to the size the theme you use requires, which makes the file smaller so quicker to retrieve and show on screen. If you have a 1920x1080 image but the theme you use only uses that image in a very small 240x240 box, then it's resized to that size and stored in the cache folder.
  4. But only if you have a Non-Merged romset, any of the other two romset types and you will break everything and a ton of games will no longer work.
  5. No, they are completely different and not compatible in the slightest. You can however just drag and drop the files you want, you dont have to point Launchbox to a folder at all, it will simply import the files you give it, don't want a whole folder imported, don't point Launchbox to a folder when importing.
  6. Any specific reason you are using kronos and not the beetle/mednafen or eve yabo sanshiro cores?
  7. You cant use the scan for removed/added roms tool for MAME that is a sure fire way to break your MAME romset completely. You need keep all the files in a MAME romset unless it is specifically a Non-Merged one. Also the MAME importer does not actually look at your rom folder at all, so again that tool will not work for MAME as no games were actually really imported, it's just a list was created, MAME is different to other systems, as is the importer.
  8. Stock settings with a upscale to 4K.
  9. The only thing i see on google for that error is in reference to Naomi and not Dreamcast, and it was a vulkan bug that was supposedly fixed.
  10. No i mean another House of the Dead 2 rom, could be the one you have is bad, in fact that sounds highly likely if other games work and that specific one doesnt.
  11. Two things here, one you do not need -fullscreen for Retroarch, in fact that may break it, and two i see your core entry's platform name is "Sega Megadrive (Japan)" is that EXACTLY what the platform is called in Launchbox? and also you are trying to use the picodrive core, i'd highly recommend the genesis_gx core instead, it's far better.
  12. Have you tried another rom? There are bad roms all over the internet. I have the USA version and it works just fine in Redream and Flycast in Retroarch.
  13. You say it does it every time, so make it do it, and supply the log file.
  14. It's not a IP ban, it's something else going on, I suggest turning on the logs and triggering the issue and then supply those logs so that the devs actually have something to go on.
  15. That is usually because we do not have the exact date in the database, the year may be known, but not the exact day and month. If that is information you know, then you can submit it to the database yourself for everybody else to download.
  16. We will need more information than that if you actually want any help I'm afraid. What exactly is the issue? Can you reproduce it every time? do you get a error in Launchbox? If so please supply said error message, can you also turn on logging, and when you get the issue post the log that includes the issue.
  17. Because that folder holds DLC and updates that are not rom files and will not work on there own, sounds like a good idea to skip it to me.
  18. Not sure, but they will have the details on their website.
  19. Launchbox is portable, you can copy the entire folder to another PC/HDD and copy it back later, or you can copy specific folders like the data/images/videos/manuals/music/themes folders and copy them back, but those are the big folders, so if going that far you may as well just copy the whole Launchbox folder.
  20. lol, could you please supply said error? That would absolutely be the best way to troubleshoot any issues, but i will note i haven't seen anyone else with this issue, so it's likely system specific, and hopefully the error will help to pinpoint the issue.
  21. You would need a text file for each game in that case, not just a list with all the games are in. What you are trying to do is so niche that i don't know of anyone that has done it, and how you would get a list of games that you have but are not even installed on your PC i do not know if that is actually possible at all.
  22. Short answer no. saves are often not usable in anything else other than from whatever emulator they were made in originally. Unless you can find some Retroarch to pcsx2 converter, which i highly doubt then you will have to either use Retroarch, or start the games again in pcsx2.
