  1. There should be zero difference between mame itself or mame loaded from Launchbox. The only way it could is if something is in the default command line in Launchbox for your mame emulator entry is somehow overriding it. Or you are using one of those non official GUI versions of mame, in which case its a bug in that version of mame, and can be fixed my copying your mame.ini file to the root of the mame folder.
  2. Unified Redux uses 3D boxes, not standard boxes, do you have any 3D boxes downloaded?
  3. Final Burn is missing thousands of working games, and those versions that do not need the CHD are also in the MAME romset, where do you think Final Burn get them from in the first place, if there were no MAME roms there would be no Final Burn roms either.
  4. Launchbox writes files after you close it via its x on the window. Task killing it i assume id doing just that, unsafely closing launchbox, meaning it cant write files at close, like newly added or edited games for example.
  5. No, do not forget MAME, MAME is a much better emulator and far more accurate than Final Burn, they use hacks and workarounds to achieve that lower specced hardware support. Anyone who actually cares about the actual emulation quality will use MAME.
  6. Not true, a Final Burn romset is a subset of a mame romset there are tons of games that work in mame with a mame romset that do not work at all in Final Burn. that emulator is really for low specced hardware that cant run mame, which to be hones is basically nothing these days, even very cheap laptops can run most of the mame games, with the exception of some of the newer 3D games, of which Final Burn doesnt have those in it's romset at all anyway.
  7. That is correct, but are you trying to use your license with the current Launchbox version? Cause obviously it wont work with that, you will need a version from when your license was active. Email support@unbrokensoftware.com and see if they can hook you up with a old version of Launchbox.
  8. I'm betting you are using Skraper, correct? If so it is breaking your Launchbox by storing unnecessary files in your Launchbox/Data/Platforms folder, remove the files that have "backup" in the name.
  9. Not sure what you are asking here, and your images are incredibly small. from what i can see you just have mame open there, which you should, no game "opens in Bigbox" they all open in a emulator in a separate window, which is what i see there. Your window does seem to be in windowed mode and not fullscreen, but apart from that i'm not sure what the actual issue is here that you are enquiring about?
  10. The image you posted in your OP IS the default look, i too am not sure what you mean by the blue background. You can set Launchbox to use the desktop background, and if you have the default windows wallpaper, that is blue. Also the background colour can change depending on the game selected, and that is a option you can turn on and off in the options, but as for it being blue out of the box, it never has been.
  11. There is actually a option in Bigbox that allows you to make that be a hold, so you cant get to the options sscreen unless you hold that button down for a time, so that stops accidental option opening.
  12. The default theme has two coverflow views, one of which shows videos, so it is possible.
  13. There is a option in the Bigbox settings, i think under view.
  14. As i said there was only about 10 of those, and i don't know if they are available anymore, but i'm gonna say they are not, but if they are they will be in the cinamatix media option i believe.
  15. This has always been the case, when new features are added to Launchbox or Bigbox that effect functionality then themes need to be created/updated to use said new functionality.
  16. I believe there are about 10 of those total across all systems, we do provide platform/playlist videos, but not game videos.
  17. This really sounds like a command line bug in YUZU that is launching a game differently from the UI as apposed to the command line. Have you reached out to the YUZU devs or checked there forums/discord for such a bug? At the end of the day Launchbox isn't doing anything different than launching the game via the YUZU UI, its just saying hey here is a file and this is it's location. I have however seen emulation bugs that effect the command line before, dolphin had one not long ago that meant your controller didn't work when a game was launched via the command line, which obviously broke Gamecube/Wii games launched from Launchbox, but it was a emulator bug in that case that was fixed in a week or two.
  18. It's a design choice of the theme, there are no options in Bigbox for it. You would have to get your hands dirty in the themes code to remove the fades code.
  19. I think you made a big mistake if I am looking at the correct item and there information is correct. This can not be connected to another device as a display, according to the specs the HDMI port is a "output" and NOT a "input". It looks like the screen has Android built in, and you can output that to another monitor (presumably a standard one for easier setup), but there doesnt seem to be a way to feed a signal too it.
  20. Have you got any extra files that shouldn't be there in the Launchbox/Data/Platform, or the Launchbox/Data/Playlist folders, things like duplicates of the same platform/playlist, or files marked as backups?
  21. You didnt mention, so i have to ask, you did actually go and download a mame romset right, you are not expecting Launchbox to download the games for you? If not then what version romset do you have, and what version emulator did you choose in the import wizard? Also The Launchbox MAME fullset importer doesnt move your games, so i'm not sure what you are referring to there. And finally, if you have a merged or split romset you cannot break them up like that, all files must stay in the same folder or you will break a ton of games as they rely on files contained in other zip files.
  22. One thing to check on Windows is if the games did actually match to a database ID, If you right click 4x4 Evo and go to edit/edit metadata is there a database ID associated with it, or did you just get lucky with some artwork matches from emumovies and no metadata or artwork from the Launchbox database was downloaded?
