Leave it zipped and put it in the MAME/Roms folder.

Also what neo geo game doesn't work for you? I'll check it on my system. I'm still using 0.186 though.

lol, correct neo geo arcade games will need the neo geo bios. Just drop it in the MAME/roms folder.

If your roms are version 0.184 then try version 0.184 of MAME so that they match up, also do you have the neo geo bios?

Correct, Launchbox is just a frontend and does not come with any emulators, you will need to provide those yourself. As for your neo geo games, you say you have MAME emu version 0.191, are your roms also from version 0.191? MAME can be very fussy with roms, so in general your version of the emu should match with the version of the roms you have. Do you have a current MAME romset? Oh and welcome to the community.
  7. It seems to work just fine for me, although I am using input mapper and not DS4 Windows.
  8. Yeah that should work fine, that's what I was asking as it won't work without software like that. I'll go and track down a version of xebra and test on my system.
  9. Are you using any 3rd party controller software as playstation controllers don't work natively on windows, some programs accept input from them but that needs to be coded into the specific program, and i'm betting that zebra doesn't have this feature.
  10. I don't believe this is possible, you can have Launchbox display a playlist as a platform, but it's still technically a playlist and the xml stays in the data/playlist folder. So rocket launcher won't know that it's there as I assume it is not looking at the playlist folder. I don't believe it will work by copying the xml to the platforms folder as the platform and playlist xml's are coded differently. The only thing I could suggest is to ask the rocket launcher dev to update the rocket launcher launchbox plugin to check the playlist folder as well as the platform folder in launchbox.
  11. You can zip them and add them to the download section if you want.
  12. Yep, there is also Parsec although I haven't personally tried that. Moonlight works great though.
  13. Ooh nice, that always annoyed me as well, off to test.
  14. If you have changed your directory's then you need to tell launchbox the new locations as it will be looking at the old ones.

    layout help

    No probs.
  16. Thank god. I would add a exclusion to Mcafee so it doesn't remove your files again.
  17. Then its the wrong folder, do you now have a launchbox folder in your launchbox folder?
  18. If you go into your Launchbox/Updates folder you should see the installer for 7.12 just install into the excact same folder over the top of your current instal.
  19. I would hazard a guess that mcafee quarantined it as its such a new file. What I would do is reinstall Launchbox 7.12 directly over the top of your current install, then add a exception in mcafee for launchbox and bigbox.
  20. Do you have another PC you can plug your drive into and check it there?
  21. Do you have full read and write access to your external drive?
  22. OK, if it's local then he shouldn't have any permission errors then, especially if it's still in the same location as it was before the Windows upgrade.
  23. Ah, cheers dos. Just assumed a network drive as it was Z, I did ask that in my initial reply but it wasn't answered.
  24. As I said I don't think there is anything wrong with Launchbox itself, that is a windows permissions error Launchbox itself should be fine still. Is the drive on another PC? you may need to add new permissions as it may be blocking access since your windows upgrade. I am going to tag @DOS76 here as he is more knowledgeable than me with using Launchbox with network drives and such.
  25. That doesn't look like a launchbox error to me, it looks more like a Windows permissions error, is your Launchbox on a network drive? as I see its got the drive letter Z.
