  1. Yo peeps! I've been wanting to clean up "my collections" in the Games DB section of this site. Is there a way to clear out all entries and sync from scratch? I've tried doing a sync from LaunchBox, but there are still quite a few games that are no longer in my library, that shows up in "my collections". Also, I tried creating a new Collection, but I didn't find a way to upload specifically to that collection instead of the default one. I hope I'm making sense
  2. Too bad it isn't working for you! Mavericks videos was the solution for me too. That, and check that MAME uses the right configs. I had a problem where MAME repeatedly just wrote over my configs, so I made a script which copied my working config to the right directory at launch Can't remember how I did it now.
  3. I've never have that happen to me.. Could you post a screenshot of what it looks like? The black screen with the white square, I mean.
  4. Ah, yes, this is true. I dont use retroarch or any multiplatform emulator, so I didnt consider those..
  5. You should probably open your own thread about this - it's not really relevant to this thread
  6. In JoyToKey, go to settings -> Associate Profiles with Target Applications -> Add -> Give it a name, point it to the emulator executable, and choose which profile to use. JoyToKey will then switch to that profile each time that executable is launched. I have a default profile which I use for most emulators, and then for some of the more troublesome emulators, and windows / dos games I have individual profiles. If you want to check that it works, you can go to Settings -> Preferences and check the "Notify via tasktray message" in the bottom left corner.
  7. This is strange. I have two aimtrak guns myself, but I don't have the trouble you seem to be having. LaunchBox shouldn't affect the guns in any way.. Can it be that the MAME folder contains configuration files for the specific game you are launching which contains different settings from the default configuration?
  8. This is not exactly an answer to your post, but what I do is associate profiles to emulator executables inside joytokey. Joytokey itself lunches when I start my pc, so it always runs in the background.
  9. In order to avoid name changing back and forth, I believe thetvdb.com freezes individual fields or entire seasons of tv-series at a certain moderator level, so only moderators of a certain rank may edit it. Maybe that is an idea we could borrow?
  10. Great work, I'm loving these! Any chance of a Nintendo 3DS logo ?
  11. Ah, I see. Not too fast though, since I can do only one platform at a time, but it certainly works Thank you!
  12. I went to listed view in launchbox, hoping to find a tab with "video filepath" or something similar, so I could just sort that ascending, and then get all the ones without any filepath. Any suggestions on how to find all games without videos?
  13. Yes, you would need to copy your LaunchBox folder, and the emulators and roms you would like to have accessible in the cloud, in order to play them both places. LaunchBox should use relative filepaths, meaning that it reads directories based on its own directory, not whether its on this or that actual harddrive. This is a video (made by the launchbox team) about making a portable version for a USB-stick, but you can just apply the same steps and put it in your cloud instead If you follow the video, I would download a newer version of .NET, but that's it
  14. Do you have any cloud storage application installed on the laptop as of now, such as Google Drive Sync? If so, there's no problem, but depending on your collection (and cloud storage plan) you may run out of storage space very quickly ! But of course, older games take up much less space than newer games There are also some dependencies that needs to be installed on the computer, such as .NET 4.7.1 and the Visual C++ Redistributable (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, anyone). Some emulators need these also, not just LaunchBox. Newer emulators also need DirectX to play well. But I don't think you can run it from the browser version of Google Drive, if that's what you're asking.
  15. Version 1.0.0

I made this a while ago as I couldn't find any mega drive platform videos at the time. If anyone else finds a use for it, feel free! Music: Schnabubula - Aqua Fever

  17. It seems that SDL handles the graphical stuff of DOSBox. I went to the config file (dosbox.conf), switched Output from Overlay to OpenGL, and everything is working fine again. I have no idea when that changed, though.
  18. Don't be discouraged even though people don't seem interested I can only speak for myself but I very rarely change my startup video, but I still like to see what is available, and more videos to choose from is only a good thing, I think
  19. I haven't played any of my DOS-games lately, but was just about to. I got this error: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: DOSBox.exe Application Version: 0.74.0.0 Application Timestamp: 4bea7d36 Fault Module Name: SDL.dll Fault Module Version: 1.2.13.0 Fault Module TImestamp: 49f5c79b This happens with any game within LaunchBox. Everything worked fine before Any ideas how to fix this?
  20. There are a few ways to accomplish this. I use JoyToKey, which makes it easy to map controller buttons to keyboard keys, or even mouse keys. However, since AutoHotkey is integrated pretty well into LaunchBox, there may be a way to do it with that too. There is also a program called Xpadder which I believe does much the same as JoyToKey does
  21. Hey all! In order to play multiplayer on New Super Mario Bros. Wii U, I need to set player 1 to controller 2, player 2 to controller 3, while for most other Wii U games, it works to map them to order (so player 1 is controller 1 and so on). I couldn't find anything in the CEMU documentation, but do you guys know if there is a way to set up config files per game yet, such as in Dolphin? Or other solutions to this problem? In other words, an easy way to switch configs on launch
  22. Oh you brilliant people you! Thank you very much!
  23. Hi all! Currently I have one big platform called "Arcade", and I was wondering what would be the procedure to split that into CPS1, NeoGeo etc within LaunchBox ? I saw the third-party program (Lightspeed MAME importer, as recommended by Brad in an "old" MAME video on youtube), but found the warnings from LordMonkus, and therefore I didn't dare to use it. Any suggestions apart from going through each single game one-by-one?
  24. Hi, sorry for late reply. Yes i finally got dual light guns working for all the games i wanted, but I can't remember how, or what i did exactly (as i did try a ton of different approaches). You should probably open a new post to get help with that - surely someone on this forum knows how to help (The systems I got working was Sega Model 2, Sega Naomi, Sega Master System, Windows, PS2, Taito Type X, and others through MAME)
