  1. Just an FYI, looks like MAME specifically has some improvements in 0.243 to deal with the Apple IIgs joystick issues. I'm sticking with 0.242 for a while due to some possible regressions with new developments made in 0,243 for other systems, so I haven't checked whether the Apple IIgs improvements help yet. Edit: I broke down and tried 0.243 in a separate install and some joystick issues are fixed but I'm still seeing issues in some still, especially Gauntlet. Using the Joystick Calibrator referenced in the MameTester page for the bug, it seems analog values outside the expected byte size (0-255) occur, especially on diagonals. It could be the app itself but seems input still isn't perfect for analog joysticks.
  2. LOL Glad you got it working. When I first started with LB, similar problem drove me crazy.
  3. In the import options did you select Allow Duplicates? Sometimes when a rom doesn't import I find it's because LB thinks it's already installed. Since text between ( ) and [ ] which are used in hack rom names a lot aren't used when importing the rom, that could be part of the issue.
  4. To clarify, are you saying they aren't added into LB or that meta data isn't downloaded? As Retro808 mentioned, The LB database doesn't have hacks roms, so unless you are scraping using a platform that matches where Emumovies has them (and it has those hacks), you won't get that meta data added.

Thanks. With the new view pop up window in Big Box I had a doh moment and wasn't scrolling down and didn't realize I had the Horizontal View options.

i don't run any of those games but nice work like always. Just curious what theme is that at the beginning of the video with the box images along the bottom?
  7. I've done this for several of my games, especially vector games. It's not overly hard but you'll find different layouts use different coordinate systems, so you'll have to convert if that happens and only use one type per view.
  8. The issue is that the previous layout you were using used an overlay to "tint" the vector graphics. Your custom bezel doesn't have that feature. Your only options are find a different layout that has both (enabled at the same time), or edit you custom bezel and add the same overlay features into the view you are using.
  9. It's not even specific to themes. Within themes, different views may work best with one or the other, so you'll have to try and pick which view you are using. So a lot of themes/views have "extra" (for a lack of better words), dynamic theme UI elements so you probably wouldn't want a theme video video which has similar UI elements embedded in the video as well.
  10. You may get a few smaller CDIs to convert but for the most part you won't have good success. CDI format was used to reduce the size to fit on a CD, so original data was changed or removed and conversion to CHD isn't usually successful. I always found it was easier to just find GDI versions before converting to CHD and you're assured you have a complete and working version.
  11. Thanks for that, it makes total sense. I guess I didn't go into enough or the right platforms to notice the difference. I guess for platforms like Arcade that have a mix of portrait and landscape screens there is no perfect decision but I am satisfied with copying a square based xml to Arcade.xml. Just provides a little bigger image in general and faster for quick scanning for games in that view. Thanks.
  12. Really loving this theme. One small suggestion or request I would ask would be a modified platform wall view that use 4:3 aspect images in the grid. For platforms like arcade that might not have box images, even when you include screenshots in image priorities for box front images, because of the normal aspect for box fronts the images display too small.
  13. Should be in the same directory as the executable. (Supermodel.log)
  14. Teknoparrot games are a whole different different thing so it makes sense, Without a log file even though you say the games run or don't run, we don't know if the resolution was changed or not and to what resolution. You mention that that this is a TV monitor? If so I have a suspicion that the TV (like most) has a scaling feature and that somehow it is involved in your issues. You need to go into your TV menu system and turn those options off. I think this might explain some of the issues.
  15. In the properties for supermodel.exe, you do not have any high DPI scaling options enabled do you? When the game ran too fast, when you were adjusting the powerpc frequency, did you also include the throttle option? Do your other emulators change resolution automatically? It's strange supermodel.exe would be different? There aren't any application specific options in your video card utility settings? (NVIDIA settings for example) Can you post your supermodel.log file after trying to run without changing your resolution to 1024x768 manually? I understand what you want, but it seems something isn't right and having to use 1024x768 to make your Gun4IRs accurate is working around the real issue. If you just want to just continue working around it, if you google there are many simple and free resolution changing apps. You just need to add them as an additional app in LB and select the option to run before main application. I can't speak to which app is best as I don't need one, so I'll leave it to you to decide.
  16. Well it's hard to say much since we have no idea what version you are actually using then. Have you played with the powerpc frequency option to try to correct the playing speed? I can only say that on the newer versions, they all run fine for me but a few I do have the powepc frequency set appropriately. You could pass the resolution as a command line option, but I was referring to setting per game options in the supermodel.ini config file. Depending on how old your version is, I can't say what options are supported and work, just know the newer ones do.
  17. Supermodel3 emulator supports per game settings including resolution and should switch automatically. If you start the emulator from a command prompt and pass the resolution as a parameter does it no switch? If you have to switch to 1024x768 to use Gun4IR, you still don't have it configured right yet. Are you using the right content mode in Gun4IR? You aren't stretching the game in the emulator to 16:9 resolution are you?
  18. Are you 100% sure you have the correct mame203plus rom set? (Sometimes other launchers are point to a different rom location) Mortal Kombat I, II, and III all launching fine here from LB using mame2003plus Retroarch core.
  19. If you change the joystick type to Dinput in JConfig, the keys rempped normally for me.
  20. I don't have this game (don't like how it looks in my cabinet), but I downloaded it again to check it out again and the input issue isn't unique to you. I tried doing some searching but haven't found any reports of why this JConfig doesn't work mapping inputs.. As a work around you can always use an AHK script to remap to the default set keys and than launch the game.
  21. I would check out the thread on emuline.org for this game. There is 2 different versions (Taito vs Global VR) that are the same game and there are specific steps to get it working. It does work though. Edit: Went back and checked my setting for this game. I have the Taito version and had to set compatibility mode to XP sp3 mode to work perfectly.
  22. Is this just some games or all games. Some games require a specific ST model and specific memory configuration. I would start by adjusting those with Hatari.
  23. No I didn't have the same issue. Right now I'm in the process of cleaning up my LaserDisc games. Not sure whether I want to use SInge 2 or Hypseus Singe.
  24. I couldn't say without some kind of log file, but obviously somewhere that option to unzip files is still active. Are you 100% sure that option is turned off in the emulator settings in LB both in the main configuration screen and the associated platforms screen?
  25. That's my point, don't have LB unzip them. You say you have them in separate directories, than content directory overrides will work. (zipped in different folders)
