  1. The new default theme won't be doing this, but this is possible without a plugin. If you are wanting to learn how to do this you can make a post in one of the theme sections and I can reply there.
  2. Beta 3 is out with a bunch more changes to Big Box: Improvement: More changes to the default theme (with more to come) Fixed: Issues with some users applying the default theme Fixed: Issue using a controller in the Manage Themes section Fixed: Going back from search results would land you on an empty page in certain views Fixed: The Option Popup now starts with the current selected item highlighted Fixed: Corrected Default theme settings to show available views
  3. Hi @emul8. Are you able to take a screenshot of what you are referring to?
  4. Short answer is yes. Haven't looked at the code of this theme, but since it's a custom theme, you would have to open up the respective xaml file (for example, the screenshot you provided would be the TextGamesView.xaml), find the code for the platform logo and move it above the code that deals with the game lists. There's also the possibility it's using the Panel.ZIndex property, and changing the number to something lower than the game list would also do that. Essentially, since it's a custom theme, you would have to dive into the code to make the changes you want to see. All view files should be in: LaunchBox\Themes\Unified Redux\Views
  5. You don't actually have to add it to a theme. Just press down on one of the platforms to bring up the menu, and choose Edit Media
  6. Beta 2 is out with the following changes: Improvement: Some Big Box popups will now work across more resolutions and aspect ratios Fixed: Corrected a navigation issue when backing out from one view to another Fixed: Navigation issue within the Favorites and Recent Games thumbnails on some platform views Fixed: Big Box controller navigation issues in certain configuration setups @Fursphere@bundangdon@TheNewClassics Can you download beta 2 and let us know if the navigation issues you were facing have been fixed. Thanks everyone for helping test the beta.
  7. If this is referring to the desktop application, that drop-down menu reads your RetroArch core folder and lists anything inside of it, so make sure the version of RetroArch you are using inside of LaunchBox has that core in there, or it won't show up in the drop-down menu. I just used the Tools > Manage > RetroArch > Update tool to get the newest version of RetroArch and its cores, and puae2021 does get downloaded and shows in the menu.
  8. There's a number of common mistakes that people can do while setting up MAME on LaunchBox for Android. Here are just a couple: You are not using a MAME full set, or you are using a MAME variant (like MAME 2003 or FB Neo), but during import you left on the option "This is a Full MAME Set". - This would cause LaunchBox to import links to rom files you don't even have, causing the black screen. You would have to delete the platform out of LaunchBox for Android, and reimport with this option off. You have a MAME full set, and you know it's a recent version, but you are pointing to the wrong core. - This can be confusing because there's a core called mame_libretro_android.so, which is not the core you want. The core that gets downloaded inside of RetroArch is called mamearcade_libretro_android.so
  9. Not sure about Neon Deluxe Arcade, but usually themes need to be built to work with 4:3 screens. Maybe @Mr. RetroLust knows more about whether his theme would actually work properly in 4:3 aspect ratio. If it does, and if you can confirm that your computer is still in 4:3 while Big Box is running, then you would just need to refresh the view and the theme would adjust itself.
  10. This is correct. Additional Apps can be used for: Other versions of the same game Programs you need to run before the game launches or after the game closes Additional documents/links, like strategy guides, maps, etc...
  11. Usually having games scrape the wrong platform indicates that you imported them using a non-standard platform name and forgot to set a Scrape As value. You can check if this is true by right clicking your platform and going into Edit and checking whether you have a value set for Scrape As. If not, then the easiest thing for you to do is to delete the platform entirely and importing again, this time remembering to set that Scrape As value, or even better, just using the standard name for the platform (I believe it's Commodore Amiga).
  12. Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but there's a feature in RetroArch called "Game Focus". By default it's toggled by pressing Scroll Lock. Once pressed it ignores RetroArch hotkeys so you can focus on games that require a keyboard to play.
  13. This is actually working as intended. I purposefully disabled horizontal scrolling, but the side-effect of that is you can only have so many columns listed at once. You must right click the headers and uncheck the columns you don't want to see until the list is manageable.
  14. You would have to create your own custom theme, and remove that part of the code. Or use a different theme that suits you better.
  15. Sure, you can, just have to mess with the GameDetailsView.xaml
  16. First, you'll need to find out whether MelonDS can launch games from command line. Open up a command line and try it out. You'll also want to find out what the emulator's command line arguments are. From my limited testing, it looks like games are not launching from an archive properly when launching via cmd, but they seem to launch fine if extracted. Maybe it's some current limitation.
  17. You should also re-run the installer, as something like Avast could have deleted necessary files already. You should have the latest installer in: LaunchBox\Updates Install it overtop your LaunchBox build and that should fix the issue. Just make sure you double check the installation path, as it's common to install a second copy of LaunchBox inside of your primary folder (creating a LaunchBox\LaunchBox situation).
  18. If you have any third party security programs running (like Avast), it could be blocking files needed for LaunchBox to run.
  19. Also check the name of the file you are launching in LB. You probably have a couple different aburner2 versions. See if either of them are aburner2.zip and launch that one. It should have created a config file for both versions, but that could also depend on when you ran the media update. If it's still not working, then you possibly have some kind of RetroArch config override issue going on.
  20. There's a link to a YouTube video that explains how to create banners on the BannerBox file page (it's hidden in the legacy section): Just know that it's really only relevant for Platform banners now. As of BannerBox 2.0, BannerBox will generate it's own banners based on a user's box and clear logo image.
  21. My guess is that it's not implemented. Should be fairly easy for someone to add it via the CTC if they are so bold. My understanding is that scanlines are just not planned for this theme, but again can be added for anyone that wants to venture into the CTC.
  22. I've only ever seen graphic issues like this due to outdated graphics drivers (normally if you are running integrated graphics, which is very common on those handheld devices), or if you have the nahimic service running in the background (which you can check within your task manager under the services tab). If you do have the nahimic service running, we recommend you remove/disable it, as it can cause graphical glitches like this in all programs created using .NET
  23. We've had a few users mention that their third party security program ended up blocking necessary files that LaunchBox needs to function. Do you have any anti-virus/security programs that could be doing this?
  24. Hey @viking. First, make sure you are on 12.13, as setting fbneo up in RA won't work on 12.12. You'll also want to make sure that in LaunchBox, you set the scrape as value to Arcade. Then, either an import or download metadata and media wizard should work fine. In RetroArch, you'll end up seeing the config files in: RetroArch\config\FinalBurn Neo And they should be pointing to: RetroArch\overlays\GameBezels\MAME
  25. We also need to see the rest of the window. The total games number is referring to the total amount of games that you have imported into LaunchBox, while the first number is referring to how many are being displayed. So unless you have selected to display All games, it would be normal to only be seeing a subset of your total collection.
