  1. Dont know about that, but if the video files (now with the "- video" text removed) have the same name as the rom files, then they get automatically linked, no need to redo the paths.
  2. One thing that also help in "generating" this scenario, is that there is no timeout set to load the media from the highlighted games. This means that on every press and wait, BB tries to load all the metadata and media of the game the cursor moved to, so even when the user is actually scrolling, BB is loading all the stuff on each game reached dinamically, and that could lead to small freezes because of queued content. I am pretty sure that if you try and just leave your up or down button pressed (not tapping it), you will see that the list scrolls without hiccups (assumption, havent tested it). I don't know if a feature like configurable deciseconds of the cursor wait time before loading the meta and media could be a nice addition, or it could potentially mess things up.
  3. There were a lot of folders and a lot were incorrectly placed, but there was one of those tries that had the correct structure; the biggest issue in that one was that the roms were not completely extracted; only a dozen or so. Glad you got it working
  4. Out of curiosity, what are the sizes of those two sets you downloaded?
  5. What happens when you launch a game directly from mame? What is the error message?
  6. Ok, this is awesomely cool, and it is a bummer that it does not have more comments or exposure. I would love to read any updates you have on this project (whether they are big or small). Keep rocking @eatkinola!
  7. You can sort the games by genre, and select all the Mature ones, and bulk edit them as "Hidden" or "Broken".
  8. Maybe that "system" is still present in some xml in the data folder. So it is showing the placeholder without the images (as those were already deleted).
  9. I am assuming that you have a MAME folder That you have extracted the content from the MAME version you downloaded (preferably the exact same version as the rom set version you have). That you have placed all the rom zip files inside the "roms" folder For the ini creation, if you are finding the step too difficult, try placing this attached ini file in your main MAME folder (where the main mame exe file is) Launch MAME and try double-clicking on any game from the list (dont worry about the audit or the status of the file). Try with a common one like 1943.zip or similar; see if it launches. If it gives you an error of some sort, paste the image with the error here. If it works fine, then just follow the LB tutorial steps to import all the roms and assign the mame exe as the emulator. ini: mame.ini
  10. James were you able to create the mame.ini file? I am reaching a point in which I want to do a screen sharing session and help you out to get this sorted out XD
  11. 3000 roms, reducing the size substantially. I dont know if sharing my LB data file or my process (it involves custom a XML file and Hyperspin tools) will help you. Let me know.
  12. From what is worth, I had the same dilemma as you some time ago, and ended up doing sone 3rs party tricks to get my MAME parents only + clones worth having, and was able to trim my set to
  13. Wow @Grila... That condensed version looks so sexy... I am feeling strangely aroused.
  14. I can process the grid video and change blue for any other color. Do you want red, pink, violet?
  15. Hey guys, quick question; I would love to add the newly MAME playlists by Genre, but I have a custom/curated MAME set (not full). Does bulk clearing all my MAME games Genre fields and running the metadata update for them to fill empty fields and then creating missing arcade playlists make sense? Or just running the creating missing playlists with all my current metadata will do the trick as it does not take into account the genre field, but the rom name or another value? Thanks!
  16. You rock! Thanks My next milestone is to move the Platform now straighten wheel to the left side of the screen. Will play around with it tomorrow.
  17. Hey RH! Do you mind sharing the piece of code you did to straigthen the wheel? Thanks!
  18. Looks like those missing files are not from the game, but from the bios zip file. Check the neogeo bios zip content to see if it matches the missing files. Maybe your bios zips are not correct?
  19. Spanish Version Language-es.zip
  20. Guys, question; I have a custom MAME set (parents only). Will it make a difference/improvement on specific fields if I ran the update the metadata to the entire set? i.e. Genres, developer and or publisher will be more accurate).
  21. In LB, manage the Platforms. Edit the one you want, and you will see the tab with all the directories/paths.
  22. Maybe a sub-option could be added to enable/disable to keep listening for new controllers? As with this, the users can have all their controllers found at launch, and experience no lag during the session. Don't know; just thinking out loud.
  23. Random Videos For the videos (platforms and games) to use the same nomenclature as image media in the sense of - 01,-02, etc. So if for example I place in the Videos/Platform/ folder the videos NES-01.mpg and NES-02.mpg, they will get randomized in the main Platforms wheel every time the NES one is highlighted.
  24. Great deploy Jason! Agreed about the mouse pointer. Very nice addition
