  1. There was mention early on that if you had Launchbox installed on an external drive you needed to make sure you deleted the Launchbox folders located on your Sheild internal storage. It was mentioned back on page 7 and page 8. Posts by Jason and Krater9. Not sure if that would have any affect on your issue with Retroarch, but seemed worth a mention.

    Big Fade

I was planning on a Startup as well.
  3. In each theme’s Launchbox folder the xaml files are located in the Views folder.
  4. I have not used Kega Fusion in a long while but still had it set up. I had it with a command line -fullscreen in the Launchbox settings, removed that line and it is launching fine in windowed mode. Any chance you have that in your Launchbox settings for Kega Fusion?
  5. Someone posted steps how they did it a few pages back. Somewhere in the last 3-4 pages. You will have to scan back and find it.

Big Fade draws inspiration from @Grila BigForce BigBox theme. Pause theme shows a fanart background that fades away at the bottom to allow clear view of scrolling game notes and a game play image. Pause Menu is contained in a gradient transparent list box. Theme was tested on a 4:3 screen images provided to show how it looks on a 4:3. Image Priorities: Recommend in your Launchbox Image Priorities for Background moving clear logos further down the list of not using at all. This theme will resize and crop clear logos since the theme was designed for fanart primarily. Installation (Requires Launchbox 9.8 or higher) Available directly in the BigBox Pause theme manager. or Download from the forum and: 1. Download zip file. (You may need to right click the zip file and choose "unblock" 2. Extract zip in your \Launchbox\PauseThemes folder (fonts do not need to be installed) Big Fade Start can be located here. It is a startup theme to compliment the Big Fade pause menu. Big_Fade_Demo-01.mp4

  8. There are a few posted on our forum. I know Lordmonkus posted a few like a NeoGeo one I can recall. Most of them may need updating. Check in the 3rd Party download section.
  9. Playlists can be created in Launchbox by right clicking over a platform or platform category name in the left hand pane of Launchbox where those are listed and a pop-up will give you the option to create new "category", "platform" or "playlist". I do not believe any new options were implemented in regards to your question about adding custom columns for additional sorting.
  10. That would require the frontend to also keep up with the emulators as they change since it is the emulator that would require if a rom needs additional files to work. So not only would the developer need to stay on top of his program, but all emulators as well. A bit much to ask for any program especially one with only one develper. The user has to at some point know what they are doing. They either have to know how to import the roms they want or know how to push a button when looking at a list of playlists. Not trying to sound mean here, but a frontend cannot be all things to all users.
  11. What main theme are you trying to do this with?
  12. If you have a small list of games you only want to use then just import only those games and set the startup view to "All Games". I know we have seen this requested before, it just is not a common as you think and I do not believe it was even mentioned on the last 2 feature request polls.
  13. @Gplayjay21 To get what you want is possible. You would copy over images, fonts, and certin xamls from the Neon theme, then edit them to show the correct relative paths and a few other tweaks to keep the theme from breaking. It is possible, just will take some manipulation on the back end. Not something done in the UI. I did something similar with a couple themes.
  14. Yes, theme designers can make a unique options screen for their themes and edit the specific xaml for the options. You cannot edit the BigBox default themes though. These will not allow changes to ensure BigBox always has a valid running theme. You can copy the whole theme folder and name it anything you want then edit it.
  15. Keeping one handy is good since more of the housekeeping stuff is done in Launchbox.
  16. In the left window pane in Launchbox where your platforms are listed just right click over any platform name or category name and choose to make a new item.
  17. If you imported all the games and only want to show a curated list you can create a playlist of those games and set the startup view to Playlist in BigBox.
  18. Are you talking about during game play or loading. I have not seen any issues like you mentioned. It is not a bad release, but there are definitely some changes you need to probably make to your settings since they changed how some things are done in 1.7.8. @Mr. RetroLust I have not seen any posts anywhere on converting old configs. They did update the shader guide. Looks like they made it easier to load shaders from command line.
  19. Close Launchbox and then go into your Launchbox folder. In the LBTheme folder move the Neon Arcade Deluxe LB theme out of there or just rename it. When you reopen Launchbox it will default to the Default theme. If the issue occurs it is not a theme issue. I would think it is not as I use that same theme. When did the error start happening?
  20. I need help getting a textblock to show a defined text when a metadata fields is empty. For example if the Rating field for a game is empty I want to text to display "Unrated" (chosen to differentiate from the actual "Not Rated" in the dropdown options for that field). I have tried TargetNullValue and FallbackValue in numerous fashions. None of which will show any text if the field is empty for a game. In Visual Studio the fallbackvalue will display text in the design window so I at least know the syntax works. It just does not display in the Pause Theme I am tinkering with. Frustrating thing is I know it is probably simple, but I cannot get this to work. Any help would be deeply appreciated. <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=SelectedGame.Rating, FallbackValue='Unrated'}" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Foreground="#0000cd" FontSize="29" FontFamily="LAUNCHBOX_ROOT_FOLDER/PauseThemes/Double Panel/Fonts/Prototype.ttf#Prototype" />
  21. I have not used custom config for quite a while in RA because of issues like this. Just save as core override, game override or even just save the shader as a core preset which is what I do for setting the shader. There is even now a content directory override that will affect all games launched from the same directory.
  22. How did you update Retroarch? For 1.7.8 if you manually updated I believe you will also need to make sure you downloaded the redist.zip. I use the Stellar Retroarch updater and chose the update option which does the full exe update with the redist.
  23. So how would that work then in cases where additional files are needed but not imported such as mame with files like the qsound.zip (qsound_hle.zip) and other ancillary files certain games need in addition to the roms? Or in the case of bin and cue files where only the cue is imported.
  24. You really have to be more specific about what is wrong. Simply saying "I see a problem with setting" is not too helpful considering how many settings there are in either program. 1.7.8 working fine for the recent games and systems I played since installing it.
