I believe all you need to do is right click the platform name and choose edit you can make changes there. Change the platform name to what you want then down towards the bottom under category you can change what platform category you want it to show in. Also remember in any emulators you have the SNK MVS name listed in associated platforms you either change that to the new name or at least add the new name to the associated platform.
-
No worries. I just go these set up about a month ago so it it is fresh in my memory. Currently working on building a dedicated pinball cabinet so working on trying to get a few other pinball emulators up and running. Right now I just have PBFX2 and 3.
-
In PinballFX3 go to your options menu. Then under UI/Streaming look for DOT Matrix Size and turn that to "Off". That will remove it from the main playfield.
-
Here is a good place to start. Scraping as pinball as you found out is not the best. So that link has a lot of useful data. @MadK9 has recently added videos and mega docklets you can use as clear logos just check the download section.
-
Like @DOS76 said you can map a button to it in the controller settings so you have the option to use it or not. Or you can choose to skip it completely by checking the box for "skip game details screen" in the general settings.

Did you try using standalone PPSSPP.

Duplicate Platfroms Created When Importing MAME and Daphne
Retro808 replied to Deejus679's topic in Troubleshooting
The one created during your Mame import is actually added as a playlist. Getting rid of that one is easy. Close Launchbox/BigBox. Go to \Launchbox\Data\Playlist folder and delete the Daphne.xml in that file (or you can save it somewhere other than that folder if you ever wish to add it back easily). When you reopen Launchbox you should only see the Daphne that you imported from the .txt / .bat files. -
Platform videos will go in \Launchbox\Vidoes\Platforms folder and should be named exactly as your platform is in Launchbox. Individual games videos will go in \Launchbox\Vidoes\[Platform Name] folder and should be named exactly as your games are in Launchbox. Fullscreen video I assume you are talking in BigBox. That would depend on the theme and/or the view in the theme. Not all theme are set up for fullscreen videos and not all views are as well.
-
This definitely looks intriguing. Unified theme runs my main cabinet, the coverbox themes are on another system. This looks promising for the bartop that is in progress.
-
Glad your sorted and thanks for posting the resolution for any others who may need. I am going to delete your duplicate post.
-
Unfortunately the theme does not support the images in the game detail screen. See Cid's response in his thread it should be the 3rd and 4th posts in this thread.
-
@Codiox I am not sure if Cid will tell you directly how to edit the xml, but early on he did say for now at least he will not make a version that supports the wheel on the left. I think it is on page 4 where he mentioned it.
-
How is your 3DO platform named? I believe in Cid's Unified theme he named it Panasonic 3DO. If yours is different one option you have is to edit the name of the background image in the unified theme folder. Since the names do not match the theme uses the default BigBox images. In the \Themes\Unified\Images\Theme\Background folder find the 3DO image and rename it exactly as you have it named in your set up. This would also go for the other images in the other folders (Logo, Pointer, Border).

I am not the most knowledgable in RocketLauncher set-ups but we do have a few members here who hopefully will chime in. In the meantime, you did not mention if the games run correctly while in RocketLauncher only. If you open RocketLaucher UI and try to run a game from within RocketLauncher directly does the game launch or do you still get the Mame UI screen? Since Launchbox is only running the roms correct if you choose run in Mame than it sounds like something in RocketLauncher is not set up correctly.
-
@Omen I believe I saw that mentioned earlier in the thread and Jason did mention leaving a parameters column in there to allow for adding those parameters. So it should be coming.

I know I would not mind if you post what you have so far. Anxiously awaiting better marquee images than what exist.

BigBox - Select Random Game Feature fixed by "Wheel Spin"
Retro808 replied to FreeSoftwareServers's topic in Features
@FreeSoftwareServers It may be a case of linking the ticket here and asking forum members who have a similar view as you to respond in that ticket the wheel spin is not meeting needs. It makes a bigger impact when you can visibly see how many people really want something. It has been a few months since implemented and in this thread there have only been 5 members to vocalize a want and in the bitbucket ticket 3 have responded since Jason closed it. It is likely going to take a lot more voices. Just my thoughts. If it ever makes it to a poll I would vote on it.- 167 replies

BigBox - Select Random Game Feature fixed by "Wheel Spin"
Retro808 replied to FreeSoftwareServers's topic in Features
View stats will probably not get the job done. That does not really tell Jason how much of the community really wants this fixed. I would recommend seeing if a bitbucket was opened for it and make sure to vote on it or if one does not exist open one and post it in this thread to get it voted on. Hopefully then you can get enough votes and it can be included in the next poll for things Jason will try to get implemented.- 167 replies

It lis likely Jason has not gotten the fade background option working yet. He did advise in the first post that he still has a bunch of little things to get up and running before he launches Next as an official release. So you can definitely count on it will be coming.

Nestopia full screen and Pinball FX3 Exit
Retro808 replied to mthompson239's topic in Troubleshooting
AHK will work as I use one to close PFX3 with my arcade joystick. Are you using a controller or an arcade joystick? Also are you launching directly into tables? A simple AHK like below works (this is not what I use but tested it). This will let my 4 button on the arcade close Pinball FX3 and return to BigBox. 4:: Send !{f4} -
If you are running the Canary build of Citra their recent updates to Canary changed something that make it no longer work properly with Launchbox. You will have to switch to the nightly builds of Citra. We discuss it here in the post.
-
Even if it was a double post it is not an issue. This forum does not frown upon things like that. Our ultimate goal is helping each of our members even if the same question is asked over and over. One of the things that makes this forum great.
-
@ckp it is the standalone we are talking about. Citra creators must have altered something in the Canary build since that is technically the experimental build like Cutting Edge used to be.

Adjust Big Box Marquee Resolution and item to display
Retro808 replied to mthompson239's topic in Noobs
Are you using a full ultrawide or and lcd that was custom cut for marquee shape? I have an ultrawide and the marquee images work fine without any adjustment needed on my end. To be honest it was a year ago I set it up so I don't remember if perhaps I altered a video setting in the pc settings or perhaps in the Nvidia software. -
Adjust Big Box Marquee Resolution and item to display
Retro808 replied to mthompson239's topic in Noobs
There really is not a setting in Launchbox/BigBox for that. It might be something that can be altered in a specific theme xml file, but I do not know how to do that. By default BigBox looks in the Arcade-Marquee folder of the system specific image folders for the marquee of each game. If nothing is present there than I believe it defaults to the box image. So if you want certain images for each game place them in the Arcade-Marquee folder. Each file has to be named after the game as it is named in your Launchbox set-up. For now BB only supports image files for marquees.
