  1. Just make sure the game does not launch in full screen. Open emulator.exe or emulator_multicpu.exe (which ever you use) and make sure under video "auto switch to fullscreen" is not ticked. Then launch a game. The mouse will still be taken over but in this mode you can now click on the Game/Configure Controls.
  2. It will affect it in that it will add a new platform category, but that is a function of BigBox. When you edit a platform in the "category" box you can type in the name of any category you would like to create. Then you can set each platform to specific platform categories. As @CriticalCid mentioned you can make the platform category any name you want, you are not limited by BigBox.
  3. @Lordmonkus Thanks for making the covers and for the google drive link. I went and deleted all mine and went with your new versions. I am sure I said it before but it is worth saying again....these are freakin’ epic!
  4. @Pr0FiT No you were clear. That's why I posted the first image showing TG16 listed with the BigBox Cinematix video showing. I was just trying to give as much info in case I read your post wrong. Launchbox does not like the NEC in the platform name when searching for platforms videos. A bit odd since the video creators files come up with the NEC name in some of them.
  5. LB will identify the videos for both TG16 and TG-CD. I chose to leave off the NEC part, but make sure you choose the "scrape as" with the NEC name. I just tested with TG-CD and it found videos.
  6. Xbox emulation is not really well developed. There are emulators like Cxbx-Reloaded, Xqemu, and another but as far as I have seen recently they are not very developed. Here is a pretty good and rather detailed video on the subject.
  7. It is definitely going to be a taste thing. A few months a go I finally dabbled in RocketLauncher and though it can be a pain, once you get the basics it is not too bad. Several things likes fade screens, bezels, and pause screens are a major reason many use RL. For me personally I removed it from my set-up. I do recommend giving it a try, be patient first learning and do not let it frustrate you too much it actually is not to bad. Retroarch bezels are a breeze if you find RL is not your thing. Be mindful as @neil9000 said we only have a small handful of users on this forum that respond to help question about RocketLauncher, so if you seek help be a bit patient.
  8. If the rom is not a bad dump you should be able to get it to work with one of the FBA cores or the Mame core in RA. I think there are at least 6 cores you can try. Or try it in Mame stand alone. Try them outside of Launchbox first to eliminate any possible error in your Launchbox settings.
  9. My bad your first post said you tried from the Retroarch exe and it worked. Have you tried a different core. My version of Mega Man: The Power Battle works with the CPS1 core.
  10. If it works in Retroarch and not in Launchbox then there is a disconnect in your Lanuchbox set-up. Go to Manage emulators and edit Retroarch. Click on the associated platforms tab and share a pic showing the arcade listing and the command line you have listed. What FBA core are you using and is it for the platform called "arcade" or for another platform name?
  11. The name of the core in the RA menus is Beetle Cygne, however the file name for the core is mednafen_wswan_libretro.dll. So you will still want to use the command line -L "cores\mednafen_wswan_libretro"
  12. Ah, the platform template. That would be an interesting touch.
  13. Are you using a second monitor for a marquee? If so the themes will switch marquee images as long as you have an image file in the "Arcade - Marquee" folder of each platform.
  14. With the background option check you will not know it is downloading. It just does its thing so I keep it unchecked. What version does your Launchbox say it is on?
  15. So it has not updated at all and you have the Check for Update on Startup selected? If you make sure "Automatically Download Updates in Background" is not checked then whenever LB prompts you for an update it will show you the progress bar of the update. So just have "Check for Updates on Startup" checked. Or also check the "Beta Release" box if you want to run betas.
  16. Yes I am sure. What @neil9000 said below. Thankfully Launchbox allows different ways of importing.
  17. The Emumovies discount is off the Lifetime Membership at Emumovies. It is a 25% discount so takes $15 off the $60 lifetime cost.
  18. There currently is not, but in this subforum if you look in the post for AutoHotKey Scripts a member created an AHK to shutdown from within BigBox with the lock on. This might be an alternative for you at least until an option to shutdown from lock is made in BigBox.
  19. I do not think anyone has really reported it recently. However, to be honest video preview has not worked properly on my set-ups for as long as I have had Launchbox. It has been hit or miss if they will preview. I did just test downloading about 6 different platform theme videos and had no issue downloading them. For the issue with not all videos playing have you tried switching to Window Media Player? Are you on a stable version or a beta?
  20. Well, you are definitely doing a great job with these obscure one so kudos on the work look forward to more.
  21. I do not think Jason has made any specific statements on the progression of this, but I would wager he will not spend too much development time on current version of LB. Likely he will get Next up to where the current version is and then anything new will be done in Next.
  22. If and whenever you do get to some updates on marquee stuff you will have made my day. Been holding on for the day we can get some marquee update love Gif support or video support would be awesome. To be honest I am just happy LB/BB keeps getting better and better. Thanks @Jason Carr for all the hard work.
  23. Man I got some catching up to do on these.
