  1. Put the mame.ini file in the root folder where the MameUI64.exe is
  2. That's what I tested in. Looks like another member is having same issue. I have some more changes to make later so I will report back if I had the issue show up.
  3. I do not have Neo Geo CD emulated, but here is a post from earlier this year and looks like Mame would be the better/easier choice to go with.
  4. @cleverest I tried to replicate your issue, but could not. I can bulk edit a group of games (either existing or after new import) and make a change (series, genre, etc...) then click a different file or group of files and edit as well and it does not affect the prior group of files. At least I think I am understanding your issue and tried my best to replicate it. I was adding new playlists so trying to test this worked out since I was using the bulk edit already.
  5. This is something still being worked on by Jason. He will have options for this coming up. Jason mentions here he will be adding box customization. They should show. Do you have screenshot options ticked in your settings?
  6. My preference would be 2. The image is nice and sharp. But #4 on my marquee actually looks like there is a light behind it. I left it up and walked in and out of the game room and it looked really nice. Definitely had the look close to a real marquee. I am torn, but you would probably have more members prefer 2 or 3 over the 4th one. I went ahead and place #4 in my marquee folder.
  7. It is not going to work if you do not have data in the fields you mention in your post. The "rom file (emulation is enabled)" is the path to the specific rom file. The "Use as an Emulator" box needs to be ticked to tell Launchbox to use an emulator to launch to rom file. It really would be helpful if you posted pics as Lordmonkus mentioned. It just makes it easier to diagnose.
  8. Not sure. Just checked on pc, laptop, and a Mac and page works fine on all 3 in FireFox. Try a simple cache and cookies clear. Can you view news on other browsers. I have been using Vivaldi which is a good alternative to FireFox based off a recommendation from a few mods/members here.
  9. Some more info would be helpuful. What system/emulator in particular? Does it do this if you launch the game direct in the emulator outside of BigBox?
  10. You need a code from Zen Studios that enables cabinet support in order to launch direct into individual tables.
  11. Are you talking about the startup sound from a .wav file in the sounds folder or the audio from a startup video? If from the .wav file have you tried a different sound file? If you play the sound file outside of BigBox does it stutter also? You can download different sound files to use in BigBox. The stock ones work fine on each of my machines. If it is the audio from a startup video file have you tried switching video from VLC to Windows Media or vice versa?

    Mame CHD's

Launchbox doesn’t match the chd files that is all done directly by Mame. Typically the chd files go in the same folder as your Mame roms and are placed in a subfolder named after each rom the chd is for. Example: Killer Instinct - rom name kinst.zip The chd (kinst.chd) goes in the folder called kinst where the kinst.zip is located. See example folder structure below \roms\kinst.zip \roms\kinst\kinst.chd As a side note: you can actually place the chd files anywhere you want, you just have to specifiy the location in the mame.ini. The process above is the usual way of doing it.
  13. Are there any config files saved in that folder even for other cores? Also do you have save configuration on exit turned on in settings?
  14. The config file would be located in \Retroarch\config folder
  15. Definitely and odd scenario. Can you share pics of your launchbox and BigBox with the platform names? If you change themes does it still not show those platforms? Unlikely it is a theme issue, but just curious. Stranger things happen.
  16. Are they showing in Launchbox?
  17. What view are you using in BigBox? Platform, Platform Category, etc... Also do you have games actually loaded for those platforms not showing? Any platform you create will not show if you do not have games in it.
  18. When you say the UI will load do you mean the UI for mame.exe or are you saying MameUI.exe will load? Just asking to clarify as in a later post it sounds like you are saying only MameUI.exe will load. Are you using onboard graphics or dedicated graphics card? Wondering if maybe the video option got altered. I had that happen, I somehow changed to d3d and the laptop I had mame on did not support it. So it would not launch.
  19. Thanks @Lordmonkus You keep the google drive updated with these right? Your covers are kind of getting a bit lost this thread.
  20. @neil9000 Yeah no Dolphin issues for me. @Charco I hear inadequate dongles can cause issues. ?
  21. @Charco This is the one I use. I have had it for 2 years now with very little issues. It may be a Win 7 issue. I remember seeing some threads on other sites about Win 7 issues with 8bitdo and bluetooth.
  22. I wonder if that is due to the dongle and/or using two dongles at the same time? I have 3 (SF30 Pro, SN30 Pro, and F30 Pro) that I use on the same generic bluetooth dongle and as long as I turn them on in order they work fine keeping the player position.
  23. Depending on how you turn on the SF30 Pro it can alter the button layout. Starting it holding X (blue) and start turns it on in X-input mode and will reverse the A and B. Starting it holding B (yellow) and start will turn it on in SF30 Pro standard SNES/NES layout and the A and B will be as you are used to. In the manual this shows as Android mode, but it does keep the A/B as normal. Depending on how you started it the first time you set it up the controller will remember the last setting if you just hold start to turn on it each time after.
  24. Not in Pinball FX3. The code is what will allow cabinet mode in PinballFX3 which lets individual tables get launched. In Pinball FX2 it was possible as there was an older version that it could be done with. However, an udpated version of Pinball FX2 that got released did require a code.
