  1. I have heard of Jason changing it before on some requests, but I am not privy as to what criteria he has to allow a name change. If he does not respond within a couple days come back here and post and one of the mods will likely let him know.
  2. Email Jason at support@Unbrokensoftware.com be sure to give a valid reason you want it changed. It is there on purpose as a sort of way to catch illegal license selling/sharing. .
  3. If it does get implemented a multi character would be best. So as you mentioned you can search "M" or "Met" to get to Metroids quicker. Since I think LB only functions with one letter for now.
  4. I may be spitballing here but I think one of the reasons BigBox may not have it is that BigBox is more for cabinet style maneuvering which in many cases do not use keyboards as standard in their set-up. Typically arcade controllers and gamepads. If you notice LaunchBox and BigBox are navigated in two different ways. LaunchBox navigates mainly with keyboard and mouse (for pc set-ups) and the controller/arcade style navigation is mainly in BigBox (arcade cabinet style navigation). May be why Jason put the feature in Launchbox and not BigBox. Just my thoughts on probably why we do not have it for now. Jason could put it in BigBox someday, but I would recommend making a bitbucket ticket so the community can vote on it and Jason can see how much the community may want it.
  5. Agree. @kostas In quick menu go to controls and look for the second line item in the pic. You can set it to use the left or right analog.
  6. If you launch a game and go into the menu. In the input section there should be an option to use the analog sticks. I just learned of this myself a few days ago as I used to never use the analogs. I have it working on my 8Bitdo controllers so not sure how well it will work with PS4.
  7. Load a game, go to the RA menu (F1) and make your video setting changes than in quick menu choose save core override.
  8. Mame is easy. And do not sweat it. As I mentioned before this forum is amazing at helping its members trouble shoot. If things go awry fire up a post.
  9. And that is why I recommended pics at the start. We have seen 3 L's in dll, missing spaces, missing dash, missing quotations, and other typos. Glad you are sorted now.
  10. Not sure. This is the only version of VBA I have. I do not use them since they are so outdated (2014). This was just a version I had sitting in my "unused" emulator folder for testing. If you want to try and get RA cores working this forum is great at working with its members to trouble shoot. Just set it up in Launchbox again and post some pics. Otherwise try finding a copy of VBA-M since it has that menu option. Or give mGBA standalone emulator a try. Edited: If there is a config file in your VBA folder edit with notepad++ and see if there is a line for "fullscreen". If there is and it is set to 0 change it to 1 and save then restart VBA and see if that worked.
  11. I just set it up VisualBoyAdvance emulator and in the options/video menu there is an option to start full screen. With it ticked I was able to start roms fullscreen with no windows bar. VBA I do not think has been updated in a long while (I think last update was 2014). RA cores are typically recommend for GB/GBA games.
  12. I cannot help with that as I only use Retroarch for GBA games. I can set it up and test it so give me a few minutes. I still recommend sharing those pics of your RA set-up might as well find the issue and it can help if you set-up other RA cores and they do not work as well.
  13. Yea, yeah, yeah I know. I tinker too much and kept forgetting to add them.
  14. Typically if that is the case and you cannot launch through Launchbox there is a disconnect somewhere in your Launchbox set-up.
  15. Oooooh nice! I had not downloaded the update yet as I have been setting up PC games. Which by the way is your fault thanks to those PC game boxes you did in the other thread. Up until then I had not imported any of my pc games.
  16. Do they launch directly in Retroarch without using Launchbox? My recommendation is share pics of your Launchbox set-up. Right click and edit a game and show pics of the launcher tab and the emulation tab. then go to tool, manage emulators and edit your Retroarch emulator. Share pics of the Emulator Details tab and the Associated Platforms tab. It is easier to diagnose seeing some data on screen.
  17. Nice write up @Aesthetic. Glad you are all sorted.
  18. Interesting. So, it appears not to be solely related to per platform themes or to a particular video player. I guess I can convert everything to one theme and use something other than Critical Zone and see if it occurs in that set-up on my machine.
  19. @eatkinola Similar to Neil mine occurs when my cabinet has been left running. The times that the error occurs is sporadic it seems. Sometimes it happens 10-15 minutes laters. Other times not for an hour or so. I use multiple themes so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I think I saw some posts about the different versions of plug-ins in different themes. Right now I have Nostaliga, Critical Blue, and Aeon MQ7 on different platforms. Since Neil mentioned the video player it should be noted I was using VLC and this occurred. Edit: Just an example I was gone for about 1.5 hours from the house and the cabinet still has not kicked the error. For my at least it seems very sporadic.
  20. Anytime
  21. @neil9000 Thanks. I knew I saw it posted before. I looked but just did not go back enough pages in the original beta thread. I use Critical Zone 2 as well. I can always count on you to come through in a pinch with help.
  22. Started getting this but report a few days ago. I can close the report and BigBox keeps running, but after a few more hours of it running the bug pops up again and I can repeat the process. I had a similar scenario happen on beta 7 but the error was different. It does not crash BigBox it just shows up and I can close it. ********************** Object reference not set to an instance of an object. 23. Cave is a Japanese company that primarily made shoot ‘em ups. They made some pretty interesting games. I cannot really respond accurately on the sorting question as I never really use any sorters. Launchbox’s Mame import wizard is pretty good at weeding out the crap like fruit games, mahjong, casino, and so on. You can have it not import clones if you so choose. You can even have it create playlists for acade systems and separate out things like Cave, Irem Classics, Midway Classics, etc.. Now keep in mind it creates those playlists but those games will still also be under the main Arcade platform. I am sure @Lordmonkus or @DOS76 can speak more exact to this question. No-intro sets work fine in Launchbox. For Mame the recommended set is either split or nonmerged. Merged can cause issues so avoid it.
  24. An old thread is never out of context if a member has a question related to it. Unlike other forums that get pissy about bumping necro threads this forum thankfully is not that uptight.
  25. These are looking good. Thanks for the updates.
