Man MSU1 is getting some frequent drops. Maybe not the best drops, but it is nice to see the continued work on the project.
-
Links work fine. Easily able to download video.
-
Sweet. Glad it still worked.

It has been a while since I messed with PCSX2 games but a couple tips I remeber with Devil May Cry. 1. Try this sort of hack....during game press select, go to options and hang out in the options menu for about 8-10 seconds. When you return to game the graphic glitch should be gone. Not sure if that still works on the most recent version of PCSX2 but I know it worked the last time I played it. 2. In your PCSX2 settings try setting using a software renderer or setting internal resolution to native. Not the best since the game will not looks its best but that should help with the glitch. Again, I cannot confirm this still helps in the recent builds of PCSX2 just that it worked when I played the game and saw the glitch. If it does not work I recommend searching the PCSX2 forum. You can easily find tweaks to specific games as not all game run straight out of the box.

No worries, it is actually on my test pc. I keep one set-up to test on and make changes in case I mess something up it does not affect my main cabinet. Like @neil9000 said drop a post in the beta thread. (removed link since Neil posted it) Thanks @neil9000

Glad you are sorted, but I think you did find a bug. I was actually able to replicate the issue you have. It was not showing up, but I deleted the platform category image and then ran BigBox, closed it out and then added the image back. Now I randomly get the platform marquee image instead of the one I want for the platform category. If I do your same steps it shows the correct image.
-
Correct, the priority settings do not allow you to set a priority image for marquee like you can for box images for example. You just need to place what images you want the second monitor (the marquee monitor) to show in either the banner or the marquee folder of each platform category, platform, and system sub folders. I believe the marquee folder only shows up in the system images folders. The platform and platform category use the banner folder.
-
The name should not be an issue, but if it works you may have found a bug. Keep us posted. edit: Well looks like you responded same time @MeanGreene13. I have not experienced this issue and I did not think that name change would really fix it. My marquee images show up correctly. What version BigBox are you on? Wondering if you are on a beta or a stable release.
-
Have you tried a different theme to see if it occurs to eliminate it being a bug in the theme? I use a two monitor set-up as well and similar platform/platform category and do not experience this. The image folders you showed are the direct folders the platforms and platform categories look to for images so it is not an image location issue. Also if you refresh the image cache does it stop the issue from occurring? Curious if that helps and then if you reboot does the issue resurface. Just spitballing some ideas.

I have the same setup for platform and platform categories and both pull the correct image from the correct folder without needing to do as you said you have to do. If you go into the image folder for each of those do you have only 1 unique image in each folder or does one folder have two arcade images? You can have multiple images in the folder and BigBox will scroll through them each time you make a new selection. For example you could have 3 marquee images for Platform Arcade named Arcade-01, Arcade-02, and Arcade-03 and each time you select the platform arcade it will show a different image.

@G22 Much thanks on that edit. That subtle fade out for me made the difference. I like startup videos short and sweet to get to gaming so I agree as you said "quick video so it goes quickly to the system list".
-
I think you will find this forum way different to many you have probably been to before. The members and the top notch mods here are very willing to help. If you cannot find an answer post away.
-
@G22 I like it. Nice and clean, does not feel over done. A few extra seconds added would be a recommendation as it kind of feel like it just stops. But either way I added it to my rotation. Look forward to more.

Going off of @neil9000 Make sure you are pointing Launchbox to the mame.exe and not the zipped Mame extraction exe. We have seen in the past people point it to the mame0193b_64bit.exe and it should be the mame64.exe. As @DOS76 asked if it works outside of LB then that is a good clue you just missed a connection in Launchbox, are pointing something to a wrong spot, or have something checked that should not be.
-
Logos here. The other question I could not accurately answer. I am not sure if there is a set requirement as I have used videos in several different formats that work. I have never made my own just used the ones from a lot of different sources so I am confident they are not all generated to the same specs. Looking forward to what you create if you plan on sharing. More content creators is always helpful.

It is a good shooter. A little short but fun. Glad you are all sorted now as well.
-
Correct. Only way to do that is have the roms for gun games in a separate folder from the roms in the main Mame folder. Launchbox will not let you import the same Mame rom twice if it is in the same folder, even if it is going into a different platform.
-
I do not think it will import it twice if you already have it.
-
Do you by chance have the box checked for "Combine roms with matching titles into a single game" checked and for some strange reason it is maybe combining it with a game with a close to or similar name? I have had Launchbox make an odd mistake like that before on a matching name import. That may be a shot in the dark but worth asking.
-
Yeah, forgot about that. I do not really use RL anyway. Just been messing with it lately. It is still just as irritating as I remember it.
-
I use Mame as it will make sure it pulls up the Mame rom import wizard to allow you to check the correct boxes to weed out all the junk/broken roms. If you use RocketLauncher you do not get the Mame import wizard.
-
Looks like DOS got you covered on all the questions. But I can just confirm in #3 yes you can use 3D boxes. In Launchbox just set the preferred image display for each platform that has 3D boxes to “3D Box” and the theme in BigBox will display just that, so long as it is coded for it.
-
Not sure what is happening. I just imported a full 193 rom set on my test pc and Time Crisis imported and no issues with fruit either. The import worked as it should. I wonder if the old xml file messed up something. The fact that you say even fruit is getting imported shows something is definitely messed up.
-
You can bulk edit the emulator. Just choose a game and then ctrl+a to select all, right click, choose edit, then choose emulator option. Just did a test import and like the others the Time Crisis imported fine.
