  1. Looks like that ratings thing is not just a beta issue. My other cabinet that is still on 7.16 shows the same issue as well.
  2. The folder really should not matter as long as you are pointing Launchbox correctly to the rom and the emulator .exe. In Launchbox can you right click and edit Metal Slug in your Neo Geo games and share a pic of the launcher tab and emulation tab? Just to complete the visual check of your settings. Not sure if ti will show anything but better to have more data to troubleshoot from.
  3. Have you tried a different core with those games through Launchbox? As @Lordmonkus mentioned this is pretty odd as all your setting are as they should be. I would launch the game through RA direct and then go into the settings with the game launched and confirm the core it used, then do the same by launching the game through Launchbox. If through both ways the cores are the same then I would try in Launchbox using a different FBA core and see if the game works or not.
  4. For GBA it is the same steps in Retroarch @Lordmonkus showed for PS1. Launch a game and hit F1 in the options change the Skip BIOS to off. For Gamecube here is what you need if you use standalone Dolphin emulator: You need an IPL.bin file for the bios (EUR, JP, USA) to play. You can find it easily in Google. Place the file for the region you want in a folder of the regions name in the \Dolphin\Sys\GC folder structure. So if you use USA it should look like \Dolphin\Sys\GC\USA\IPL.bin (or whatever the main folder name is for your dolphin emulator). Then run Dolphin and do the following: Go to the Config > GameCube and untick the function " skip the bios " then click OK Go to the Graphic > Hacks > untick function " XFB ( External Frame Buffer ) change to real
  5. Some recommendations from a similar post here.
  6. I noticed a post in this sub forum that Jason improved performance in DB moderation a few days back and one of the mods mentioned several pages were approved quickly now.
  7. Showing up now. Double Dragon 7/1/1987 LB database record shows up in a metadata search. As well as Super Mario Bros. (lost levels)
  8. When it comes to specific game issues for PS3 I recommend keeping the RPCS3 forum handy. If you go under the commercial games section and then playable you usually can search for your game if it is deemed playable and often find settings used. Here is a quick search result on their forum for Demon's Soul. Looks like similar issue to what you reported.
  9. New features requests are good that way the community base can vote for it. The more votes the more Jason knows we want it. It is an evolution process and it really is one man coding versus a team. So some things will take longer to implement especially if the larger community is not requesting it.
  10. So, not sure exactly what is not working. 1. BigBox/Launchbox will not allow you to change the button map at all. As in you cannot click the option and make a change. or 2. You can click the option and change it, but it just does not save the change and reverts back to your original setting?
  11. In Launchbox you would need software like @Lordmonkus mentioned to make the controller act like a keyboard. LB is the sort of pc front end and is mainly used with Keyboard and mouse. Edit: NVM the great one beat me to it.
  12. It is possible. I use my arcade joystick to select roms as well as having a couple game controllers set up to do the same. Unless of course I am misunderstanding what you are asking. How is your joystick set up? Does it respond as keyboard keys or as a game controller?
  13. Man MSU1 is getting some frequent drops. Maybe not the best drops, but it is nice to see the continued work on the project.
  14. All the links you say are dead work. You just have to click download. The creator only upload preview snaps not an actual preview video.
  15. Links work fine. Easily able to download video.
  16. It has been a while since I messed with PCSX2 games but a couple tips I remeber with Devil May Cry. 1. Try this sort of hack....during game press select, go to options and hang out in the options menu for about 8-10 seconds. When you return to game the graphic glitch should be gone. Not sure if that still works on the most recent version of PCSX2 but I know it worked the last time I played it. 2. In your PCSX2 settings try setting using a software renderer or setting internal resolution to native. Not the best since the game will not looks its best but that should help with the glitch. Again, I cannot confirm this still helps in the recent builds of PCSX2 just that it worked when I played the game and saw the glitch. If it does not work I recommend searching the PCSX2 forum. You can easily find tweaks to specific games as not all game run straight out of the box.
  17. No worries, it is actually on my test pc. I keep one set-up to test on and make changes in case I mess something up it does not affect my main cabinet. Like @neil9000 said drop a post in the beta thread. (removed link since Neil posted it) Thanks @neil9000
  18. Glad you are sorted, but I think you did find a bug. I was actually able to replicate the issue you have. It was not showing up, but I deleted the platform category image and then ran BigBox, closed it out and then added the image back. Now I randomly get the platform marquee image instead of the one I want for the platform category. If I do your same steps it shows the correct image.
  19. Correct, the priority settings do not allow you to set a priority image for marquee like you can for box images for example. You just need to place what images you want the second monitor (the marquee monitor) to show in either the banner or the marquee folder of each platform category, platform, and system sub folders. I believe the marquee folder only shows up in the system images folders. The platform and platform category use the banner folder.
  20. The name should not be an issue, but if it works you may have found a bug. Keep us posted. edit: Well looks like you responded same time @MeanGreene13. I have not experienced this issue and I did not think that name change would really fix it. My marquee images show up correctly. What version BigBox are you on? Wondering if you are on a beta or a stable release.
  21. Have you tried a different theme to see if it occurs to eliminate it being a bug in the theme? I use a two monitor set-up as well and similar platform/platform category and do not experience this. The image folders you showed are the direct folders the platforms and platform categories look to for images so it is not an image location issue. Also if you refresh the image cache does it stop the issue from occurring? Curious if that helps and then if you reboot does the issue resurface. Just spitballing some ideas.
  22. I have the same setup for platform and platform categories and both pull the correct image from the correct folder without needing to do as you said you have to do. If you go into the image folder for each of those do you have only 1 unique image in each folder or does one folder have two arcade images? You can have multiple images in the folder and BigBox will scroll through them each time you make a new selection. For example you could have 3 marquee images for Platform Arcade named Arcade-01, Arcade-02, and Arcade-03 and each time you select the platform arcade it will show a different image.
  23. @G22 Much thanks on that edit. That subtle fade out for me made the difference. I like startup videos short and sweet to get to gaming so I agree as you said "quick video so it goes quickly to the system list".
