Recommended Emulator for Sega Titan arcade ROMS?
Retro808 replied to MayorQwert's topic in Troubleshooting
Right click one of those playlist in LB and edit. Go to the "Parents" tab and see what is checked as that will define where that playlist shows up. -
Recommended Emulator for Sega Titan arcade ROMS?
Retro808 replied to MayorQwert's topic in Troubleshooting
Yes, when you import Mame roms LB gives you the option to make supporting arcade playlists. It will create separate playlists for the different arcade boards like Cave, Sega ST-V, SNK Neo Geo MVS, and others. It is the first item in the "Create Playlist" category in the pic. -

Recommended Emulator for Sega Titan arcade ROMS?

@tallpr24 I accidentally deleted your last post asking about which rom set to choose. I was trying to delete the link. 1. Major forum rule is do not post links to roms or share roms on the forum. As far as which to get that is up to what you want to be able to do with the roms or if you have a storage concern. I recommend reading this thread. This pic you would choose either Merged, Split, or Non-Merged. The link above will explain the type differences. -
Recommended Emulator for Sega Titan arcade ROMS?

I know you did not create any new threads which is why I said stop posting the same question in multiple threads. No, we prefer you do not. I clearly stated "Do not post the same question in multiple threads". Post the question once and wait for answer. Posting in multiple threads is a waste as it spreads answers in too many different threads. Multiple users may answer your question in multiple threads wasting time and when other users search answers are spread in many different locations. If you are using a current Mame rom set then the Mame core without the year should work fine. If you separate them out, as in move them out of the Mame rom set folder then you risk not moving support files that might be needed. -

Then its a rom/emulator issue. You are likely missing a support file. If you got them off archive and it did not show what version it came from then I would scrap those roms. Best place to get roms that you know will work in Mame as well as in Mame RA core is pleasure dome's git hub. Download the most current Mame romset and set up your arcade roms that way. If you piece roms together from random sets things like what you are experiencing typically happen. -

I deleted your other post asking about the same thing Sega ST-V. I think this is the 3rd time you have been advised to stop posting the same questions in multiple threads. If you do not find answer after searching the forum the best thing for you I can recommend is start a unique thread on your issue and then be patient. We do not need users spamming multiple threads with the same questions. This option would also be better than dreading up years old threads. The other one you posted in was 5 years old. What mame rom set version did your STV roms come from? Do the games run at all directly in Mame or RA Mame cores without using LB? -
If you added it as a "Platform Category" then the image goes in the folder below: LaunchBox\Images\Platform Categories\[Category Name]\Clear Logo If you have added one and it is not showing go into BB setting page and look for the images options and Refresh the Image Cache.

Yes, bitbucket is best spot for feature requests.

Teknoparrot logo replaced with windows logo
Retro808 replied to JHub87's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
During import you can change the scrape as to whatever you want. I do not recall LB defaulting any scrape as to "Windows" unless you are importing the option for "None of the Above" when asking what type of file you are importing. Even then I think the default is left blank. Either way to correct it in LB just right click the platform name and edit. Go to the images and delete that windows platform clear logo and add the one you want to use. When you run BB again be sure to go into the settings and refresh the image cache to ensure BB does not use the cache with the old Windows logo. -
Triforce Arcade System Platform Video (16:9/soundtrack)
Retro808 replied to CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT's topic in Platform Media
Media to be used in presentation of game data within LB/BB is fine and is media of your making. We do not allow sharing rom/bios files or linking to site that do. Uploaded media must be related to the topic of the post. -
Where exactly are you talking about? Are you using the Community Theme Creator to make a theme or standard backend coding?
-
I deleted all you other posts asking the same question. Please refrain from posting the same question over and over in multiple threads. Choose on or create an new thread and wait for any responses. I cannot assist in the answer as I rarely mess with Daphne launched games.

You cannot directly edit the Default theme for LB, Pause, Startup, or BB. They will always revert to stock coding to ensure the Defaults are never corrupt. You have to copy the Default folder and then paste and rename it. Then you can edit that new copied version. Just be sure to change your Pause theme to the new one you made.
-
If you do please create a thread specific to this since it is not beta testing related.
-
Could be your BB image cache is still retaining the images. The folder you mentioned in the default location. To change the images you can just recreate the folder and drop the new images in. Then launch BB and go to the settings and go to >Options >Image Cache and refresh your images.

Mame expertise sought - Joystick sensitivity
Retro808 replied to darkmenace's topic in Troubleshooting
Using a Sanwa or Happ style joystick (meaning a microswitch style joystick) is exactly what MK 1-3 were built around as arcade games. MK2 (at least in the US) used Happ style joysticks. So with the Sanwa you are using something that is well more than good enough. You said you upgraded to real Sanwa. Any chance you have a 4-way/8-way gate and installed it with the 4-way gate set up? One way you can affect the feel/response of arcade sticks is changing the spring mounted in it. You can put a lighter or stiffer spring in and that will affect the playability. -
\LaunchBox\Images\Platform Icons

Just manually type the name in as you add a new platform. You do not need to use the drop down list. That field can be manually edited.
-
There are startup themes that can do this. If you are selling your cabinet I would not keep your license for premium LB/BB in that build. It could get flagged and blacklisted. Licenses are for personal use only. I recommend having that person buy a license.

I think I see the issue. You cannot drop a CTC coded theme view file into a non-CTC coded theme and have it work. Non-CTC themes would be missing plugins Dave uses in the CTC to create themes. You could possibly copy the plugins folder from the theme when the marquee view was published and paste it into Refried and test.

Forum. Many times the theme manager version is outdated as the creator sometimes forgets to submit it to our devs to test.
