how to change the driver retroarch mame?

i got this working using mame but the games run very choppy

I too am interested in getting this working. i have it working using mame, but the games run choppy.

has anyone been able to get Emerson-Arcadia2001 games working on retroarch/launchbox?

already checked the "show favorites first" the issue is I have about 30 something tiger games.com games in launchbox but when i launch big box only 7 show up.

yea, lol i responded to the wrong post, and deleted it right after, guess you read it before i deleted it.:)

thank you all , i got it all sorted out, nearvanaman nudge me in the right direction with a better rom set and i had to change 2 setting in the core settings. i had to turn off the following because they were on by default: "use whdload.hdf" and "use whdload.prefs" also change the system from auto to a1200 (2mb chip + 8mb Fast). I Grabbed the rom hdf set from ransom (which is on back-ups) created a HDF from RetroPlay's WHDLOAD collection - and it has the Kickstarts built in.

do i have to do this for each game? i was told the rom set i have has the whdload.hdf built into them. ??

i was able to get into the core settings while in the black screen.
