Ok, sorry if my explanations were not precise enough (I'm French, so wometimes it's difficult to explain myself

Here is a (badly) paint image to show what I want

I want to mix game view 1 and game view 2, i.e having clear logo to chose the game on the left, video in the background, box on the left, and game detail to the right of the box (instead of the game title)

I am super new to this but I tried to paste this in as that is layout I would like as well and I get this error now.

I just downloaded the software this morning and have no clue what I am doing for the most part LOL

Sure, well thanks for the purchase @b00sted and welcome! Go into Tools > Options > General > Updates in LaunchBox and check the box to update to beta releases. Then just restart and you should be prompted to update.

Well, it's been a while since I've stopped by - things got messy in personal stuff - but I really love this theme. I'm starting to rebuild my emulation collection and Big Box is making it a blast. So, I'll take the risk of asking: would it be possible for launchbox + this theme to show, before the game list, a list of available game genres just like the list of platforms? Think I've seen something like this done in EmulationStation (Pi version), but I'm not really sure.

It's possible, but it's a BigBox feature. Not a theme feature.
On the main screen, returns back. You will find here the list of filters.

@marcelo.magri : Hum I dont know if that's possible. It seems to automatically take on the design of the ListView. I dont think I can change that at the theme level. Sorry. =/

Come on, @viking, there's nothing to be sorry about. Your theme is already awesome as it is. Maybe @Jason Carr could clarify if it would be possible to extend themes to display "sub-categories" based on a certain criteria (like genre, year, and so on).

Yeah, that stuff is coming soon. Originally we planned subcategorization for 7.0 but it got pushed for now.

awesome, theme.  I really didnt want to jump from emulation station but it was way too slow for my updated computer but this theme makes me wish i moved to launch box sooner.  thanks.   i might have some questions in the next few weeks.
