CriticalZone 1.8 released!

As usual it's bundled with the latest LB beta version and a NoBackgroundVideo version is available in the download section as well.

Thanks to @Grila CZ now features an automatic fade in/out for the wheel in the "Platforms Wheel View 3". All credit goes to him!

CriticalZone Changelog:

v1.8 - LB v7.7 (02/13/2017)
- Updated: "Platforms View 3" now features a complete wheel which automatically fades in and out when needed.

Lovin this theme and the fade in and out is amazing. Is it possible for the wheel to fade in and out on a shaded background? Just to make the wheel more clear on certain theme videos. Thank you @CriticalCid

Did the disappearing wheel replace an existing view or is it a new view? I'd rather not lose the look I currently use if that was the one I use, not sure which it is.

I have updated LaunchBox to the latest beta so I should have the latest theme version but the weel isn't disappearing?

Edit ok platform weel 3 I willing check again.

I wouldn’t call it replacing because it’s more like upgrading ;)

It’s the view with the full screen platform videos. The previous solution with the small logo in the top left corner was just a temporary solution because I didn’t know how I should realize that view otherwise. But thanks to Grila it finally looks and behaves exactly like I’ve always intended it.

It could be done. But I don’t see the point in doing so. All the other views were never designed for a need to hide the wheel, so all you would get is just a huge blank space were the wheel was.

Should be definitely possible. Will look into that very soon.

Check my original thread. I made an example of this for someone down the thread and attached the file there.

Hey Cid, first I want to say that I'm really liking this theme. Strangely enough, it's probably the one that runs the smoothest on my machine.

I'd like to know if there is a way for me to fix the 4:3 platform videos so they are centered on the screen (changing some values in the xml or something).

Examples of how they look now (It's the criticalzone theme, just added the background video from CityHunter):

Thanks for this great theme.

It’s possible but would require some work. You can also use only one aspect ratio for all of your platform videos, so either 4:3 or 16:9, mixing is not possible at the moment because of a bug in the theming engine.

Unfortunately not. he is currently pretty busy with the new playlist feature. I also can't say when he will be able to find the time to add it to LaunchBox. Your best bet would be to ask him directly ;)
