  1. Retroarch Vertical Games configs with LB Vertical, Vector, & Horizontal Playlists + vertical.ini & horizontal.ini mame lists.

Here I have a full set of vertical configs for my mame setup running through retroarch using the MAME 2010 & FBNeo cores.  I'm using matsus-4k-bezels retroarch bezel pack, along with the Duimon-Bezel-Project linked there, that uses the amazing reflection shaders with a bezel as a background image.  I went through and manually rotated the screen in retroarch and then saved game overrides for each game that needed to be rotated.
First off, all vertical roms need to be copied over to their own folder.  Included is a powershell script (rom_copy.ps1) that will use the vertical.txt from the same folder and copy those files to "roms_vert".  You will have to open that script file in a text editor and replace the $sourceFolder, $destinationFolder, and $filenameListPath with your own directory locations.  Then that script will look for "vertical.txt" in the directory specified, I chose to already put it in a "roms_vert" folder, and copy over the files that match that list, into the "roms_vert" folder.  That will leave those same files in your initial roms directory, as I did not want to delete them initially because I didn't know how things were going to go.  But i provided another script that should go back and delete those original copies if needed.
So in LB I bulk changed rom path to the "roms_vert" directory, and then in I loaded the MAME 2010 core in retroarch, launched a vertical game from that directory, set Video->Output->Video Rotation to 270 deg, then saved that as a Content Directory Override.  That took care of a vast majority of the rotation needs of the games.  So the remaining games either needed to be set to 90 deg, or 180 deg, and saved as a Game Override.  So, in theory, once you do that process, launching from your "roms_vert" folder, and set the Content Directory override, all the other per-game configs that are in the MAME 2010 config folder i provided, should fill in the gaps of all the games that aren't the base 270 deg Content Directory Override.
I also used the FBNeo core for 102 games out of my setup.  I copied those over into the MAME 2010 configs as well, in case people didn't need to use FBNeo for anything, like I had to.  Those I manually edited per-game to add the "Use Custom Command-line Parameters" area of the Edit->Edit Metadata/Media->Emulation window.  Found the correct format to launch a different core somewhere on the forums (thank you to whoever posted that).  It is "-fullscreen -L "cores\fbneo_libretro.dll" for my application.  Just F.Y.I.
I think that should cover it.  Hopefully it can help someone who is working on their Arcade setup using Retroarch.

  2. File lists and Playlists Editing/Updating tools + Some included Best of [[Fill In Your Favorite System]] .

Ok So I have a Support post going on @ Reddit located below.  But these batch files can do a lot of time saving  operations for those old playlists that no longer work due to outdated naming schemes.  One day i was searching the web to find some Best of lists to know which games i wanted to put on my handheld gaming device.   I woudl find one here and one there but all of them seemed to have files that did not match up with my newly acquired no-intro sets ran through RomVault.  So I fixed a couple and then I found some more.  This continued on until I found 2 large sets.  I knew i had to make updating these sets easier. For the next WEEK AND A HALF, I worked with Ai (What a chore) to create these batch files.  These files will extract the filename with extension and compare it to the source directory files.  It will then attempt to  Search for XML Filename (*.* against the directory files.  If it is found that becomes a match.  After that comes the reverse search, Directory filename (*.*, again if found these become Fuzzy.  It is suggested in this case you manually double check these matches. Which ever files that are not matched also goes into the csv file and labeled either XML_Only or DIR_Only.  The object is to match up the XML files with some of the remaining DIR files.  You simply cut and paste them on the line that matches up.  No need to delete any other info or extra filenames.  After that the 2th batch file will then take the csv file and repair the playlist xml file with the new correct filenames.  After that is complete the Optional 3rd and 4th batch files are capable of pulling the filenames from the XML and putting them without extensions in to a TXT file.  The 4th batch file then takes that TXT file and compares it to the Directory listings and will copy those files to a new directory along with another txt file of all missing files.  Once you locate your missing files from dumping your arcade board, you can rerun the 4th batch file and it will read the missing file and only copy those files over.  Once no missing files are lremainign the batch file will automatically delete the missing roms text file.

    IT IS NOT THIS COMPLICATED!

  3. Playlists: RetroAchievements Events (xml & icons)

    Hi everyone.
First of all, this is my first time sharing playlists. I hope the files are correct and work for other LB users.
As a RetroAchievements user, I found it interesting to do playlists about the RA Events. These playlists include a little description about the event with the list of the games, the games for each event and their corresponding icons.
There are two types of playlists:
Auto, for permanents events or events whose order of play is irrelevant (The Unwanted, PlayJam or Tributes). Here, the games are added according to their ID. Manual, for events whose order of the games is relevant (AotW, Roulette or RAD). Current events are sorted from most recent to oldest and past events are sorted in reverse. The Playlists available are for 2025 events:
Achievement of the Week 2025 Achievement of the Week 2025: Back To School Achievement of the Week 2025: E3 Roulette 2025 RAD 2025 The Unwanted Month 63 PlayJam Season 7: Sega CD & 32X Leaderboard of the Month 2025 Bounty Hunters Villains Satoru Iwata Memorial 75 Years of F1 RAcing
    Instructions:
XML Files: Download and save the xml files in: ....\LaunchBox\Data\Playlists\ Icons Files: Unzip "Icon Playlists RA Events 2025.7z" and save the png files in: ....\LaunchBox\Images\Media Packs\Platform Icons\Legacy Conversion Icon Pack\Playlists\
Finally, if anyone is interested in keeping these playlists up to date, I can try update them weekly with the new games, as well as add event playlists from previous years and seasons.

  5. Auto Generated Playlists for the bigger systems, all zipped up

A few automated child playlists I made today, over 1600. I'm debating whether or not to include these with my main build, I'm thinking it might be too much. Anyways, here they are, all zipped up if you want 'em.

I believe I'm at the end of compiling by build. As ever, there are always more that can be added but I think for now I'm going to take a break. Here are all the Playlists I've found and created along the way, hopefully this is helpful to some.
Check out my other downloads, there's a pack full of the Images that goes along with this.

  7. Antstream - 1065 url shortcuts

This file contains 1065 url shortcuts to Antstream games (not all games, but most) - Please feel free to let me know what is missing and I will add it in due time.
They open a webpage using your default web browser which will open the Antstream app.
NO IMAGES ARE CONTAINED - I need to find a way to scrape their site for images as they differ in shape from the original
NO PLATFORM SEPERATION - Antstream contains many platforms (Gameboy, SNES, Arcade, Atari, etc). As there are no images for these in LB, you could choose "scrape  as" the platform for the ones you like. E.g "40 Winks" you could scrape as "Sony PlayStation" to get PlayStation art, details, etc. (I'm working on adding the platform as a "Source", and have playlists under Antstream for each supported Platform... this will take some time but once done I will upload the .xml)
Any help for the above would be really appreciated.

    Installation:
Ensure you are logged into Antstream on their website: https://live.antstream.com/homepage
Ensure you have the Antstream App installed: https://downloads.antstream.com/antstreamInstaller-2.1.2744.exe / https://www.antstream.com/
    Download the 7zip
Extract and add the shortcut files to your games folder
    E.g: Launchbox/Games/Antstream
Select all the files > Drag and Drop into Launchbox
What type of game files are you importing > choose "None of the Above"
Platform > Antstream (or whatever you prefer)
Do not scrape media (are there is a mixture of Platforms so LB might not pick the right ones)

you can find a simple logo and then I brutally copied an awesome video that was just uploaded recently in the forum and added the logo. If anyone thinks that it is a bad abit, I'll delete it. But I am not able to produce such good video.

  16. Microsoft MSX and MSX2 RetroAchievements Support

MSX playlist has 11. MSX2 has 9. RetroAchievements lists 31 total, however there are a mixture of homebrew, non goodsets, and TOSEC that are required. I only use ROMs from the No-Intro set which is why those have been excluded. RetroAchievements treats MSX as a single platform while No-Intro and LaunchBox have it as two hence the separate playlists. These two are based off of MSX (20221022-011122) and MSX2 (20221022-005429) DATs.
