  1. Xpadder wouldn't have anything to do with MAME saving in-game changes. But what I was asking about was the high score leaderboard integration feature in LaunchBox itself. I assume your talking about in the MAME UI. I'm not sure about all settings, but I know if your change a controller setting from within MAME, it will show a different color between its' defaults and ones you change. It's just a visual indicator for you. It has nothing to do with the controllers you have set/attached/use in LaunchBox or otherwise. Also, it's not that the control setting changes you make in-game are being wiped. It's that they're not being saved [to /cfg/romName.cfg] in the 1st place. Any chance you're running LaunchBox as Admin?
  2. If you turn off the high score leaderboard integration feature, will it then save the controller configuration? Tools < Options < Integrations < MAME This is, of course, how it should be done. And fortunately, it is fairly rare the a single game needs tweaking. But yeah, not unheard of.
  3. Thanks. Glad it worked. But it's still a little perplexing as to why it was passing the emulators application path. But since you're the first that I'm aware of that has had that issue, maybe it's a one-off Burrito thing.
  4. 1st thought is to double check the path to the ROM file. (i.e. Edit the game and look there) It would be a major bug if it was actually passing the emulators path rather than the ROMs path. If it truly is, definitely file a bug report. Until then, you may try adding to the end of the parameters %romfile% -fullscreen %romfile% If you're still having issues, (not to say you don't know what you're doing and "prove it") can you post some screenshots? Emulator - Default section and Associated Platforms section Game_in_question - Main section, Launching section and the Emulation section.
  5. New Release: (May 16, 2025) beta version 0.0.9 Requires LB 13.19 or newer Rewritten for .NET 9 New look. New feel. Same features Except you no longer have the option to NOT import clones If clones exist in the xml, either import them as Additional Apps or import them separately (default) @paQ @mamizoune @dukdukgoos
  6. Glad to hear. Can you let others know how you fixed it? Did the images placed in the new folder automatically override the default ones? Or did you have to make other changes to get them to show? Funny thing is, I used Google to find the info I shared.
  7. I don't have any lightguns or play the games that use crosshairs. I only know what I've read. I'm sure if you search the web you'll be able to find some you can use.
  8. It seems to be an innate MAME thing. Also, the default crosshairs are embedded into MAME. (Actually, I think they use SDL_SYSTEM_CURSOR_CROSSHAIR and then maybe add color to that) So you can't just change "them". You can however create a folder under /MAME/ called crosshair and add crosshair images in there. (Double check it's the same in mame.ini for the "crosshairpath".) Suffix the filenames with 1, 2, 3, 4 for the respective players. i.e. cross1.png, cross2.png Not sure if these images will automatically override the default, or if you have to set them via the games TAB menu.
  9. May try refreshing the image cache. System Menu < Options < Image Cache
  10. According to this post, it needs to onscreen keyboard. ZX Spectrum Emulation - Emulation - LaunchBox Community Forums Just because it's not listed doesn't mean you can't add it. Fuse looks to be command-line parameters rich (a LOT of options). So there shouldn't be any issues running it.
  11. We can appreciate you wanting to get information regarding this, please don't the same question multiple times. I will delete your older post, leaving this one active. Thanks for understanding.
  12. When you put in your feature request (top of this page Help & Support - Request a Feature, be sure to post a link to it here so that others become aware of the request and can upvote it too.
  13. That must be about the time this plugin was depreciated and replaced with the 'new and improved' all-in-one MAMEdatsViewer plugin. Apologies for any inconvenience. See here for the replacement plugin:
  14. The way to do it is what you did. Edit the platform/playlist and change the path(s). The "easy" way would be to just move LaunchBox to the 'other location'. You might be able to crate symbolic links of the main folder to the other location.
  15. Based on the quote and in the video, yes. LaunchBox gets the info of what to import direct from what RPCS3 has been installed in RPCS3. Don't do that. Select 'Keep the games in their original location'. Think to yourself, "Why would I want to move them when I spent so much time organizing them so nicely?"
  16. To clarify, in the View you're using (vert. wheel, horz. wheel, whatever) you CAN see the HLTB in the game details for some games. But when you switch to the next (or a different) game (in the same view, same platform), you CAN'T see the HLTB? Verify the game that doesn't show it actually has one stored for it. I see with the CZ2 theme, the Horizontal Boxes with Details view, the details max out with 4 lines. If you select the game to bring up the Game Details screen, does it show there? (it should) Maybe try a different View.
  17. In general, LaunchBox is community driven feature based application. So my guess is that nobody's asked for a light theme. (By "white background", I presume that's what you mean.) At the top of this page under Help & Support, you can select Request a Feature. By using a few of the countless integrated small features, the "Old Default" theme and an image (a .png file that is white in color) as the background image, this is close to what I think you were asking for. As you can see, the background is white, but the sidebars are medium-gray. I believe those are hard-coded as previously mentioned and can most likely be changed by modifying [a copy of] the theme. Note: The white font you see in the left sidebar CAN be changed in the Colors section. However the right side-bar appears to be hard coded. Correction, restarting LB applies the font color to ALL fonts. The popup windows can be made light by selecting Use Default Light Theme Colors. You can reduce the light-ish gray background [here] even more by adjusting the Contrast. If you can provide more details on exactly what you're after (maybe add a screenshot highlighting the areas and the colors you're looking for), I'm sure someone can help you along coming up with a solution to "the issue".
  18. You hit on a key phrase... "using LB in conjunction with RPCS3 is unique compared to other consoles". Though, it's almost actually easier. Introduced in version 13.15 New Feature: Added support for automatic import of RPCS3 games that have been added into its virtual hard drive, when the RPCS3 emulator is added into LaunchBox and the Automatic Import of ROMs is enabled A demo can be found in the 13.15 release video.
  19. Sounds like a potential feature request. You can do so at the top of this page under Help & Support. After the request gets vetted and is open for everyone to see, be sure to add a link here so that others can review and upvote it. Remember to upvote it yourself as well.
  20. No. I mean, you can of course have 2 'versions'. But as long as you have the Community Leaderboard high score upload feature enabled, cheats, save-states etc. won't work. Regardless of your 'version' of MAME. I think the way to do what you want is just have your [one] 'special version' of MAME that has all the goodies enabled. As I'm fairly positive LB can, and will "circumvent" those extras (aka make them not work) when you have the upload feature enabled. Vs. just flat out disallowing you to have the scores uploaded [if they 'catch you' having them enabled]. I think. But... to play your games with the extras, you need to disable the high score upload feature. Which means navigating through the Tools menu to enable/disable it. I think.
  21. Ahhh, apologies. Looks like the Default theme has hard coded some of the colors. The color adjustments appear to primarily affect highlighted items. A quick look in the Downloads section, I didn't notice any 'light' colored LaunchBox themes available. One option is to create a custom theme (or modify an existing one) and set the colors to your liking. The Omni theme, in it's main folder has a ThemeValues.xaml file where you can set the color of various items. (A far cry easier than navigating the Views of a theme.) Those colors need to be in hex color format. i.e. #3c8d0d or #980002. I haven't tested to see what exactly they affect to verify if they change what your wanting.
  22. Assuming LaunchBox (vs. Big Box), look under Tools < Options < Visuals. Under there you can go into Dialog Theme and set those to Light or Dark theme or adjust manually. For the main window colors, go into Main Window Theme < Colors. There are preset color themes or you can adjust manually. Themes other than the Default LaunchBox theme may not change.
  23. Are you talking about the MAME DATs Viewer plugin? If so, you need to leave a comment on the plugins Download page or its Support page. If you click on the Info icon in the plugin, there's a direct link to it's support page. This forum section is for LaunchBox features (vs. third party plugins).
  24. The icon that is used is embedded into the exe. But you can change the reference to it by creating/editing/applying a custom theme (requires a premium license).
  25. How may files then are in that folder? Game title screenshots shouldn't be in that folder. I wonder if 'someone' only put in generic bezels. Which is what your earlier screenshot shows. Like a file (or folder) name horizont.png and one named vertical.png. And then a file named default.lay. But then again, you said it'll show a random bezel, indicating there are several in there. i.e. It's not the same one every time. So, kind of confusing what exactly 'someone' did. Ideally, that's what you should do. Ask the guy who did it for you, "why isn't this showing game specific bezels?" And tell him to "Fix it properly." But you'd be better off learning how to install them yourself and forget about trying to fix what 'someone' did. Open LaunchBox Go to your Arcade platform Click [once] on a game Press Ctrl+A to select all games in that platform Go to Tools < Download < Update Metadata and Media for Selected Games... Follow through the prompts assuming you already images (Advertisement Fyler, Clear Logo, etc.) At Would you like to download Images, select Check NONE At Download Bezels from The Bezel Project? Check the box The default option is Theme Bezels (Fallback to System Bezels) When in doubt always use the default or recommended Finish and let it do its thing
