  1. I think there is some performance issue with these new BigBox themes and any arcade games lists. The problem is that switching between games takes about 3 seconds. I have no problems with old themes. It works just fine with BigCouch, CityHunter 2, Colorful and Defaut BigBox. Among the new ones I tested, the performance is poor with Pulse, Slipstream and Play Box 6. They all have the same problem navigating through arcade lists. Anyone else with this problem? Is there anything to do?
  2. We need support. Text list view is broken: System icons overlay the banner. That's right ? Gameplay videos do not play on first pass through game list. Only audio is played : Need to advance to the play screen and go back one level to get the audio and video running proper: Wall View 4 is empty: Also, browsing through arcade lists is impossible. Each pick takes approximately 3 seconds to move selector.
  3. This looks interesting huh? Let's try!!
  4. Anyone else with this problem? Arcade games are taking too long to scroll while browsing.
  5. I'm referring exactly to the videos from platforms and collections, sorry! I think I was confused. I saw that all themes have a videos/platform folder. However, what we configure via LB Edit platform overrides the theme's video folder. That's right?
  6. Is there a way to make each theme use its own unique video package? Having to make this choice only in "Windows mode" doesn't give us the alternative of having several themes installed, each one with the video that matches the theme. Themes video folders don't seem to work properly.
  7. Forgive me for asking: I know this is volunteer work, but are people still working on the next Colorful theme version? What do you intend to deliver anyway?
  8. In fact, it's not an issue with the theme, but the lack of fanart images for many games reduces the experience.
  9. I think these latest possible themes with new Launchbox features are really cool. I'm just sad they only look nice with fanart images, but unfortunately most games don't have such images. Using box art ends up polluting the result, along with clean logos.
  10. Exactly @rancid! Thanks for informing! With Mega Bezel Shader updates, the Soqueroeu pack may not work as expected. That's because the names and structure of the presets changed. I plan to update this preset pack to be compatible with new versions of HSM Shader Pack. I'm also finalizing version 2.0 of the package, with all the backgrounds reworked.
  11. @Azgorath , thanks for reporting this! The Atari 2600 system is one of the few that fluctuates during shader execution. This can happen because the shader tries to scale the resolution automatically. Normally this is fixed when we set the screen format to 4x3 by shader parameters, instead of keeping it on auto. But it's still not a definitive solution. The shader creator is working on improved versions of the package. I encourage you to appreciate the work of HSM. Meanwhile, I'm working on fixes and at some point I might release an update, ok? Thanks again!
  12. Themes with this assets look very nice. My only sadness is not finding all images for all games. Does it use the default image?
  13. Thanks a lot man!
  14. Hey @Headrush69, your solution can be very good as it assumes the default path. Could you share how you configure this relative path? 🙂
  15. Launchbox does not appear in the add and remove programs list. I think it doesn't create entries in the system registry. If your games are already in correct disk, it might work just by moving the entire Launchbox folder and creating a new shortcut for it. If you need to change game paths, the game location paths are in \LaunchBox\Data\Platforms. It might work if you mass-edit all paths with an advanced text editor, replacing all values that point to the current path. But it may be necessary to modify other files as well. I suggest you test with a single platform before assuming it as a definitive solution:
  16. This is amazing! Please continue!
  17. Fantastic!! I'll Got it!
  18. Thanks! Using color codes would be great. With just a few slides all systems would be covered, just like the main Colorful theme currently does. Go ahead my friend!
  19. Hi guys, I did new tests by renaming filenames to match the platform name. This solved the problem. Rename files in LaunchBox\StartupThemes\StartingTheGame-Dark For those with the same problem, just rename both files corresponding to each platform. Example: Nintendo Entertainment System = Nintendo NES Nintendo Entertainment System Shutdown = Nintendo NES Shutdown All good now! Hey @Hazuki, I think we need a white theme version now. What do you think? We also need more platforms. I couldn't find NEC console files. Do you have source files to share?
  20. @faeran, I'm using Pulse theme alongside Colorful. I like the way the transition was implemented in Pulse. The biggest elements always load last. This allows faster browsing, no empty screen and give time for videos to load correctly. I think it would be nice to study this method and implement it in Colorful.
  21. Thanks @Retro808! I haven't taken this test yet. But technically, changing the paths on lines 32 and 33 in axml wouldn't be necessary, as I can point to any file I want. I believe the startup theme is looking for the Nintendo Entertainment System value a step back as the only alternative.
  22. I think the same. I believe this is how the system should work completely. Otherwise, it would be necessary all addons for Launchbox do a search for files, to create compatibility with everything.
  23. @Hazuki, Nice! Clear logo removal worked, ok. I still need to run more tests. But I realized it's not showing platform logos for Playlists. Is this intentional? And, for those who don't use default names platforms, will there be any fixes?
  24. Hi @Hazuki Thank you for your support. It will be great to have one without clear logo game version. About the platform logo, I noticed it works when I have platform default names. In my test, the Nintendo Entertainment System platform was created as Nintendo NES, so it's loading screen shows default BigBox logo. And, about the loading bar, I never see it. The message always appears in text only, even if I launch a PSX game or another ISO game: I tested the default startup theme and what I have is text only and never a status bar. Tested with pure and compressed ISO. Nothing changes .
  25. Hey @Hazuki, this start theme looks really good. But thinking not everyone uses fanart images, would it be possible to disable clear logo to avoid certain redundancies? And, why don't I have the platform name and the loading bar? This theme doesn't work as expected for platforms without default names. That's right?
