  1. 7 year necro lol. Check the folders one the platform in question, sounds like the music folder may have been changed to a location we can't create the folder in.
  2. Not sure what password you're referring to. LB doesn't ask you for a password at all and you clearly were able to log into the forums.
  3. No, the XAML schema between the two apps are completely different so there's no way to run a PC theme on Android and vice versa.
  4. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/74346-c-beats-metadata-effort/?_fromLogin=1
  5. Not at easy one. I believe some one made a plugin to get around it and it basically does the download through the plugin, but I can't really recall what it was called. Personally not sure I see the point filling the hard drive with images you'll never see in the app.
  6. Typically this occurs when a firewall is blocking or quarantining that mentioned DLL file. I'd go to that file path and ensure the dll is there. If not run the LaunchBox installer over that directory (it doesn't overwrite any data) to get it to populate again. If it IS there right click and go to properties to ensure it's not locked by the OS as well. That DLL stores the in-app chrome browser so a lot of AVs see having a browser as dangerous and blocks it.
  7. LaunchBox is designed to show region correct information. If your game has the region filled in the downloader only grabs region correct images (when possible). Having multiple box front images typically doesn't make a ton of sense in the app since you will only ever see a single image throughout the interface and so we've done our best to ensure the image you see is the correct one for your game entry.
  8. Can you do the following and let me know if it resolves your issue? Close LaunchBox and ensure the process isn't running in the background Navigate to your LaunchBox directory and then open the following file: \\LaunchBox\Data\Settings.xml In that file there should be a tag called "EnableAutomatedImports", if that is true set it to false and then save and close the file. Reopen LaunchBox and see if the issue persists.
  9. There are something like 5 different hide settings, not just the one.
  10. Anytime games are missing you feel should be shown check the Hide menu. There are some options that hide games when certain criteria are met which people tend to forgot they set and can cause confusion.
  11. You very well could be right, at the moment I'm not even sure what option you're referring to. I don't recall MAME having any sort of "Update" option anywhere. I admit I haven't had the time to really dig into it.
  12. With Endless set to false each item should ever appear once in the list. That property should do both things you're hoping to do.
  13. Dinput detection/use for Windows can sometimes be hit or miss. Typically I tell users asking to grab x360ce and create a virtual xbox controller bound to your dual sense and then just bind your emulators to that virtual controller. Works pretty seamlessly and you can alter the mappings per application if required as well. That being said, I don't know that I've heard of those two emulators having that issue as much as others so there may be other configuration issues going on as well.
  14. Fairly certain MAME previously was only ever downloaded during the Fullset Importer and yes I believe it always installed to a new folder (but I haven't looked into code to confirm)
  15. That window is themable so you can change around the logic a bit. At the moment though I believe it's set so that it's always displayed as long as the search bar has the keyboard focus.
  16. Yes that is the property I was referring to and the XAML at a quick glance looks correct.
  17. If you're referring to Big Box wheels then you can theme them NOT to wrap around. There is no global option that can be set anywhere.
  18. This error is related to the new auto-import for ROMs. You have two options. Either turn that feature off in Tools > Options or update to the beta where this issue has been resolved.
  19. First I'd verify that isn't what the name of that alt app actually is. If you go to that game inside of LaunchBox and open it's edit window and then navigate to the additional apps section, does the datagrid in that window show the title as that string, or is something ACTUALLY after the word version?
  20. Always cool to see people picking up programming, but just to clarify some of the statements made in your initial post. You can use the "Games Missing Media" sidebar filter and quickly see all items missing a specific type of media. No need to the Audit window which does take longer because of what all it does. You can use the quick filter while in this view to get more granular if desired (like filter down to a specific platform).
  21. Are you running any plugins? Outside of creating those folders if they don't exist, our startup process doesn't even touch either of those directories so I'm unsure how those steps would affect anything. When LB sticks for you what step does the loading screen say on it?
  22. Different fields are joined via an AND statement, multiple entries of the SAME field are joined with OR. So in your example if you have "PlayMode - Equal To - 2 Player Alternating" AND "PlayMode - Equal To - 3 Player Alternating" it'd join those two with the OR you are requesting. If you added "Platform - Equal To - Arcade" however then it'd look for those Play Modes AND in the platform "Arcade". I don't have the app up at the moment but I believe that field has a "Contains" filter type as well and so you could do a "PlayMode - Contains - Player Alternating" and only have the single line to be a bit less confusing.
  23. LB will automatically clear the empty folders when you turn the option off, so the last two steps shouldn't be required.
  24. Not heard THAT name in a while. Us "cool kids" using VS Code now a days He's referring to \\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms.xml. You want to change the <Folder> value of each <Platform>
  25. Sounds like one of your platforms games folders is set to your desktop and the auto-rom import feature is running. If you go to the platform the files are importing into and then edit that platform, you can go to the folders tab and change the game folder back to default to stop that. Alternatively you can shut off the feature entirely in the options menu.
