  1. Yup, or possibly depending on the display, 1440p.
  2. Thats not strictly true though, you are right in that it doesnt have to be officially certified (thats how companys put out cheaper cables, they dont pay for certification) but they generally do adhere to the specifications. HDMI cables have changed hugely over the years as to the bandwidth they can support. A HDMI 1.0 cable would likely give you no image at all connected to a modern display unless the connected device was really low resolution/hz compared to what we have today. And again you are also right in that if the device itself doesnt support 4K60, then it doesnt make any difference as to the cable, but telling people any HDMI cable can do 4K at 60hz, is simply a incorrect statement.
  3. Teknoparrot is a emulator, not a system, those games simply come under "Arcade" as there are several different arcade systems being emulated by teknoparrot.
  4. Makes sense, 270 would be a essentially a anticlockwise rotation, its basically -90, rather than +90
  5. Sounds more like you rotated all your games anti clockwise, unless @cbeats did the theme the wrong way. Its a interesting issue though that obviously doesnt usually come up for normal orientation themes.
  6. when did you add them, they wont show immediately as the database is only updated server side once a day, and you also need to update your metadata client side.
  7. No, you need a new cable, cheap as chips on Amazon.
  8. Yeah your 7 year old cable is likely the issue. Retroarch will be set to whatever hz you have set in Windows by default, so if it's only 30hz in Retroarch its also only 30hz in Windows most likely (unless you have something weirder going on). Sounds to me like your HDMI cable is a old 1.4 version or previous, you need a 2.0 certified HDMI port and cable or higher to get 4K and 60hz simultaneously.
  9. The 30hz thing is why your games were slow to start with, it should never be used for these old consoles as they all ran at 60hz, dropping to 30hz will make them basically unplayable.
  10. Yeah, dont do that, those systems all the games run at 60hz, that is why they tear at 30hz. If your TV is not capable of 4K60hz, then you will have to use 1080p60hz, unless the TV can handle 1440p60hz. Long story short never have it set to 30hz.
  11. What images to want is completely dependant on what theme you choose to use, different themes use different image types. Also you should of unchecked the "remove roughly matched duplicate images" box in the wizard, that option hugely slows down imports as we use a AI program to look at each file downloaded to see if it is a duplicate.
  12. You need to set Retroarch to 16:9 in the video options.
  13. You wont lose any data, it just installs the program files, your data/image/video files are not touched.
  14. Just go into your Launchbox/Updates folder and run the setup file for 11.15, just install directly over the top of your current install, making sure not to install inside of it, so for example if your Launchbox location is D:\Launchbox you would tell the installer to install to D:\.
  15. Check that your windows isnt set to run at 30hz, Atari 2600 is easy to run so you shouldnt have any issues at all with it, so it's likely it's not a actual emulator issue. As for images the paths are very simple, Launchbox/Images/Name of system/name of image type. Images must be named the same as they are in the Launchbox UI, or the same as the actual rom file.
  16. It's backed up automatically, unless you specifically turned that feature off, so you will have backups. However if its a issue with one of your data files Launchbox will tell you which one. Also i see by your image that you are running the 11.16 beta, you really shouldn't be running betas unless you are willing to accept issues and bugs that may break your Launchbox, betas are not for everybody to use on their daily setups, hence them being labelled as betas, they can, and sometimes will break your Launchbox. I suggest you revert to the non beta version as their are some big changes being tested in the 11.16 beta, and its clearly causing some issues, especially with people running betas and expecting them to be bug free, the whole point of betas is to find these issues and fix them for the official release.
  17. That is gonna happen with betas, new features are being tested, and sometimes they will break things. Beta's are for savvy users to test and report issues, not for everybody to use on their daily machines. Also in the beta announcement thread it was clearly said to backup your data folder as a new way of loading .xml files is being tested. "We recommend backing up your data folder before updating to this beta." was the exact quote.
  18. In Bigbox the other versions are in the game details screen.
  19. They should be there when you right click the game.
  20. It does if you dont want to be on it, it's newer than the stable 11.15, so Launchbox will try to update to it after rolling back to 11.15. It can't update to it if it's not there.
  21. Delete the 11.16 beta from the updates folder. Its updating currently because you already have it downloaded and its a newer version, just remove it and it cant install.
  22. Depending on how the theme was coded you may be able to simply set a button to the "switch image type" button in the UI and use that. If however it is hardcoded you would need to edit the actual views code. I cant specifically help with that, but you would open the view in notepad++ and search for the 3D box term and replace it with box-front. I think, im not a theme developer personally.
