  1. It's no big deal, and thank you, I appreciate the kind words! I am sad I'm no longer doing them, but I've got fun stuff I'm coming up with.
  2. Yep, the API is down and goes down from time to time. There are other posts from today about it too.
  3. How do you remove something from the associated platforms list? You double click the name, highlight the words (and the command line parameters) box and press delete on your keyboard. If it's an actual platform you created, you go to Tools -> Manage Platforms, click on the platform and then delete. If I am misunderstanding you let me know, but I think that's what you're getting at.
  4. The closest they've gotten is rom hacking officially being built in to their PC Sega Genesis / MegaDrive collection thing, and being able to download them from the Steam Workshop.
  5. Oh no, of course not, I give workarounds all the time, I'm more just expressing my confusion.
  6. When you update in-app, the update gets downloaded to the updates folder (sorting them by date helps). That doesn't help right now, but you know it's there. The reason we don't generally distribute old versions is because things change so fast, and in certain cases changes can be made and old versions may end up broken because of it. If someone has a 7.7 install and wants to upload it, or you google around and find one, we're not going to begrudge anyone, but we also simply can't keep supporting older versions too. I'm not sure if that was an answer anyone was looking for, but.
  7. Well, I'm glad you figured it out!
  8. Yea, the API being down slipped my mind.
  9. Are you making sure the account and password were typed in correctly? Do you have Firewall or Antivirus software blocking connections to outside servers? Try whitelisting LB in both.
  10. Yea, but you shouldn't have to. Choice is the name of the game and no image is a choice, so I'm stumped.
  11. Maybe @Jason Carr changed this so the images automatically download now?
  12. No, the folders will be named to what ever you named the platform and have images inside. Regardless of what you called it, you'd still open the Manage Platforms screen or go in to that specific folder and delete the image. Since you use Scrape As to scrape it as a different platform, it's pulling the default images for those platforms. I re-did all my Clear Logo's to be a unified set, and I had to go through editing them in the UI; removing the old ones and putting in the new ones.
  13. Really? You went to the image, right clicked and removed it, and it removed it from that image viewer? After restarting that shouldn't come back. Some stuff does, but I don't recall the images doing that. If it didn't go away in Big Box, that's why I said you should clear cache, but the cache (I don't think) has anything to do with the image viewers. You can do it the slightly harder way by going in to your LaunchBox/Images/Platforms/<Insert Platform>/Banner folder and deleting the image. You should probably delete it with LaunchBox closed.
  14. In other threads on the forums, and in posts around the net, I have seen it mostly be used in batch files. So that may be your best solution, but the command should be something like this: timeout /t 10 (where the number is the amount of seconds) It used to be sleep, but that may have been deprecated, and from what I can tell may try and make Windows 10 go to sleep, and since we really only support W7 and up now, Timeout should be it, Here are some more resources: http://www.wikihow.com/Delay-a-Batch-File Also, I found the below thread just by searching "delay".
  15. The ba1 file I've certainly seen for ScummVM games though, so. Either way, if that's the case, then yea a batch would help in the long term. This is certainly the first time I'm seeing these specific examples.
  16. Sure, the change happened fairly recently and if Vista is no longer supported then it was an oversight rather than trying to trick anyone and we apologize. I'll also let Jason know myself.
  17. OH, You're using RetroArch, then yea, it totally needs to be set up properly in the associated platforms page. Looking back, I see the RA cores... yea whoops. I got it in my head that you were using standalone.
  18. If it can stay updated it will keep it's relevance. I think they need to streamline MESS though, otherwise, I would use RetroArch for.... idk how many systems.
  19. Yea, pretty much. Hell, I didn't even know MAME RA was worth it now. Have they reduced the amount of extra steps or is that still an issue with MESS?
  20. Even if you have an old set to match that older version, unless you're doing it for other PC reasons, you should be up-to-date on it. The only reason to go that old is for very weak PC's and systems that don't have too much power (like the PSP).
  21. If you grab a MAME .183 split set (or a non-merged set), and use the MAME core, everything should be totally fine. All the other MAME cores are outdated. In this case, MAME also has MESS, which is easier in standalone MAME than RA MAME (reduces the amount of steps), controllers are automatically assigned, and MAME has some good filters now too (which both are a fairly big sticking point for RetroArch). Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if there was some funkyness with the roms and the version of MAME you're using.
  22. Tools -> Manage Paltforms, double click on a platform and the Category field is in here. You can select one from the drop down or create your own. I've been debating on making Categories for the consoles makers. You can also set Playlists to their own categories, but you need to edit the playlists for that. On the left, go to the drop down at the top and select Playlists. Then right click a playlist, check the "Include Playlist in Platform Categories", and then pick or create a Category here as well. Once they're in your Platform Categories view, you can edit them from here too. I know you just asked for Platforms, but that's where it is for Playlists too.
  23. Did you set any overrides? My next solution to test whats going on is to use a fresh RetroArch.cfg from the zip file. If you delete it, RetroArch will remake it, but you'd have to turn some things back on. So I consider default the cfg you pull out of the zip files when you download it. A potential workaround, if you can't get it, I am not familiar with MAME RA, I just know that it lags behind, but have you tried regular MAME? Why RA MAME over regular MAME? To go the extra step, you're also using the "MAME" core, and not a MAME core with a year after it, correct?
