just save any file before attempting to change it and then if you screw something up just overwrite it.

Under settings the 1st sub menu is drivers you can change it in there.

I don't agree that its because your specs are to old there is probably some conflict somewhere. I've just been playing with BB on a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with a Core 2 Duo T8300 4GB of RAM and built in graphics that predate the HD series and with transitions turned off it works fine maybe a slight wait for cover art to change but this is a 10 year old laptop and my expectations for it are realistic. Occasionally there are people with high spec machines that have issues and we've had a really difficult time in figuring out what is causing it. Are you running AV software, MSI Afterburner these have been known to cause performance issues especially after the Creators Update for Windows 10 (if you are even running it since I don't think we've discussed your OS)

True you can set directories in the MAME built in UI (Not to be confused with MAMEUI) As a caveat if you use the UI and your resources are on a network computer you have to have added the drive as a network drive previously as the UI doesn't have the ability to go to another PC.

1 when you imported your ROMs did you a move them into LB or b leave them where they were originally located? If you imported them into LB then most likely you have to go into MAME and edit the mame.ini file and add the directory path where you have the games. MAME by default is looking for them inside of a folder named ROMs inside of of the MAME root directory 2 Others have XArcade sticks working in LB BB so hopefully someone with real life experience with one can help you out.

Well you could do that with the NES cover but it would have to be submitted as a reconstructed Box front not a box front since there is no actual box front and it wouldn't be official so it would most likely be rejected by the mods.

if softwarelist games have short names it can cause an issue with LB not being able to scrap them properly. I just use stand alone MAME for most of my Arcade stuff and the consoles that don't really have better options available for them.

If you go to the online updater in the main menu you can download all of the shader resources then when you open a game go to the quick menu and there will be a shader option located there.

could you get the .cmd files to use a variable for the rom and it will launch whatever rom is selected.

Well this is really subjective in which is the best your best bet is to experiment with them until you find the ones that fit your preferences.

You could just delete the whole platform and reimport just uncheck the boxes for the media so it doesn't redownload any then select the games you want to update and run the download media and metadata wizard from the tools menu.

I don't think anyone has figured out how to do this in the RA core yet or if its even possible to do without using the software list roms.

yeah I don't allow my imports to use the wikipedia option which is really the best solution to the problem Jason should actually just get rid of the Wiki scrapping all together.

also seems like there is some confusion here between the differences of LB and BB most of those videos you are seeing are of BB the only issue is that if you are seeing performance issues with HS on that laptop the LB probably isn't going to do it for you either.

I hope this comes off more educational than dickish but saying you have an i7 chip doesn't really tell us much because it could be an i7 920 or it could be an i7 7700 so you should be more specific the system setting in Windows should tell you exactly which chip you have. Your right about the snes9x core though it is lite and shouldn't be the causing performance issues on any gen i7.

Do you have the a5200.zip MAME file in a location that MAME is looking for or have you edited the ini to tell it where you have it located?
