  1. For Naomi I don't think you do need the CHD's I don't have any and almost everything I have for Naomi works. I know you can run the CHD's through Demul but not that it is necessary. Same with the CPS3 emulator you can play all 6 of those games without the CHD. To my understanding in MAME they are required for some games and isn't there a few games that don't even have ROMs but have CHD's
  2. When you are running it on an Atom your not worried about accuracy you just want to play some games mine is a tablet and with only 1GB of RAM it plays SNES great garbage emulator or not
  3. I can see that unless you had some wireless controllers connected to it also they would be a waste do to lack of proper controls
  4. @dovellaPlenty of 2D games for PS1 and Saturn didn't use analog and would work fine in the bartop also using better hardware leaves you pc open for repurposing in the future and also leaves it open to run newer arcade games like Taito Type X and for things that may be available in the future. You have an Atom in your bartop if I remember correctly is Taito Type X playable on your system?
  5. Last time I tried to use it I got to the end it generated a list of games but when I ran the importer it says it is done but no changes where made to my XML whether I did something wrong because the program changed wildly since the 1st time I tested I don't know but I couldn't get it to work for me at this point.

Its on this form of the import wizard.

It is probably trying to add it as one of the one you already have. LaunchBox sometimes has issues with games that are part I and II I've seen it on many occasions name both games part two on import try running it again but check the checkbox to allow duplicate games.

You can drag and drop an icon file on to LaunchBox tell it it is a ROM and it will import it based on the info you give it it won't find any metadata unless say it is an icon named after a known game on a know platform but my point is you should be able to drag and drop anything into LB and add it as a game.
  9. Wow this post is old I have no clue if this was ever implemented.
  10. Have you watched Brad's tutorial on setting up MAME in LB? LB has it's own settings that handles clones you just have to import the roms in a particular manner which is all covered in the tutorial if you haven't seen it you should check it out. I have the full MAME set and when I import with LB it's only about 3K games to get it to work right you basically have to tell LB to use MAME as the emulator and then there should be options to not import clones hacks and all types of other stuff now it isn't as advanced as LightSpeed but it does work well
  11. @Antropushasn't been seen in months so you may not be able to get any help with this maybe there is a newer version he host somewhere since he expanded the program to work with all front-ends but we haven't seen him around here lately
  12. There is a BitBucket ticket for this I believe you should find it and add your vote.

    Adding roms

In your platform list click on the all list and see if you can see the games there.

    Removing Games

No there isn't it is really simple to reimport though and if you choose not to download any media the 2nd time it will just reimport the games and the existing media will be associated with the new platform as long as it is named exactly the same as it was the 1st time around. You can use ctrl and highlight multiple games and delete them but truly just reimporting will be the quickest and most efficient mean of getting it all sorted out

    Depurate

@alitanetI had to look that word up as I've never come across it before. I'm not sure how "to make or become free from impurities." applies to this but if you mean is there a method to clean those items up like there is for images then the answer is no not currently.
  16. The default shader appearing nice to one of you and needing work to another could just be differences in opinion over how you like your games to look. I find shaders to be a very subjective matter and if you asked a room full of people which image they preferred you would probably get a myriad of answers. Could also be influenced by monitor differences and other variables too.
  17. As much as this seems like that could work it would just create duplicate games in the DB. Jason has mentioned a few time lately that he is about to address the issues of certain systems that use strange file naming convention and these platforms will be getting some love an probably the ability to parse the names correctly on import for the Arcade games you should be able to add them in as Model 3 games but use the scrape as feature to use the Arcade database to get the game info for them. Basically what I'm telling you is to be patient LB team is aware that these problem systems need help and they will be getting some love hopefully in the future.
  18. I just started getting that tonight then I thought it was fixed but it started again.
  19. Not all of the elements of the forum are working correctly right now if I click a notification that pops up or the last posted time of an unread post it give me a Sorry, there is a problem The page you requested does not exist Error code: 1S160/2 Edit seems to be working now again
  20. I edited my post to add that information but I guess you posted 1st you can indeed continue to use the last version of BigBox you are running after the year is up
  21. @Zsolanafter the year is up you can pay $30 for a lifetime license or another $20 for another year. You could also just opt to pay the $50 for the lifetime license up front. I apologize if any of the pricing plans or anything else has changed but I know that is what it used to be. If you decide you don't want to update any longer you can continue to use that version of BigBox after the year is up
  22. The author commented back not that this means anything but I would like to see LB get a write up on HTG for sure.
  23. They definitely do their thing over there and very well indeed.
  24. I'm not to sure but as long as there isn't any links to download copyrighted material then it shouldn't be an issue.
