  1. sometimes it is full portable other times it isn't it depends mostly on whether or not it is using relative paths or hard coded paths to a specific letter. If you have LB and all your stuff on one drive it should be using relative paths and you really shouldn't need to do anything thing but if you have LB on one drive and roms on another then it will be using a specific drive letter and moving it will either require that you change the letter in the platform xmls or if it another computer to make sure that the drive you are moving it to is using the same letter. I have a lot of my stuff on a network drive using the computer name so for me I don't have to change anything as all computers on the network will have access to that address.
  2. I already suggested copying the entire platforms folder for safety. Its not my 1st rodeo and I don't want some angry users accusing me of destroying their LB build
  3. You can try either using X-Padder, Controller Companion or something like Joy2Key which will allow your XBox controller to send keyboard presses in the BigBox UI until it is worked on. The issue I believe I saw mentioned was that the controllers aren't using multithreading like the key presses are hopefully until then you guys can make use of one of these or other mapping software that will allow you to get around the issue.
  4. he was asking if you had tried Cemu through Steam through in house streaming.
  5. best way to do it is open up all of the XML files in the Launchbox\data\platforms folder with Notepad++ then go to search in the menu bar and select Find type in the beginning of the old path as it shows in the xml so if it is showing C:\Launchbox\Games\ and you are just changing it to D:\Launchbox\Games you would just put C:\ in the find box do a count to make sure it is finding them then open the replace tab and type D:\ in there and then click to change in all open files and it will change the path in all of your xml files as a precaution make sure you back up the platforms folder before changing anything in case of a mishap. Also if you have any platforms with data on different drives make sure they aren't included in your open xml files when making the changes. I also wanted to add that the location you where talking about changing will have no effect whatsoever on the games you have already imported. That field is always set to show the games folder even if you imported your games and they are located in a complete different directory.
  6. Ah okay I wasn't sure as you mention Bigbox here in your other post.
  7. by chance have you already added an Arcade platform with MAME if so LB may be seeing the roms as already imported under arcade and you will need to force duplication to import them again. In that scenario though I think the last page of the import will show all the game names but then the final import will only add any games not already added so if you are only seeing one game in the list before you finalize the import that probably isn't your issue.
  8. have you set up the buttons in both LB and BB they both have their own separate config sections for buttons
  9. It isn't possible although I will admit that does look pretty good with the icons there in your screen shot
  10. Just kidding feel free to ask any questions you have.
  11. 1a Yes you are correct in that you can not sort which order information shows up in the details. 1b Not sure on number of custom themes 1c BB themes are easy to find in the download section of this forum (and coming soon directly from within the interface) and easy to switch between them but no they are not easy to make they require either some knowledge of coding or at least the ability to reverse engineer someone else's code and make changes to it Letter jumping should be as easy as clicking on the game field in LB or clicking on a game and then pressing the letter you want and I don't believe that it is a premium feature but I've been on premium for so long sometime I blur those lines of what is free and what it premium. As for the forums they are here to stay they aren't going anywhere there are many helpful users here that are part of our great community with a crazy amount of knowledge on all types of different stuff that pertain to the hobby.

    Save states

LB doesn't have any save or load features at all that would all need to be handled by the emulator that you are using when you launch a game through LB.
  13. I think documents is where LB tries to install by default if I'm remembering correctly but like Monkus I always keep LB off of my C drive.
  14. try opening an admin level command prompt and run sfc /scannow to look for Windows corruption.
  15. Have you considered trying the RetroArch Stella core at this point?
  16. I'm confused about this also.
  17. I think maybe for all three of those you have to include the SNK and NEC name with the appropriate system names or at least scrape as those.
  18. couple of things I didn't see anyone mention 1st off ZSNES is terrible old and inaccurate compared to the options available in RetroArch and 2nd LB has the ability to add emulators that aren't set as your default emulator but can be accessed through the Launch With menu when you right click a game.
  19. Nintendo didn't shut ISOZone down fear of Nintendo doing it to them did. While I don't support Nintendo's actions on these things I certainly understand them from their point of view. They are business people doing what they think protects their business. Are they going to stop the illegal downloading of their IP? Hell no but that is a different matter. If all their currently for sale software wasn't being made available on the net they may have not even bothered in taking down love ROMs. So far that one particular guy running 2 sites has been Nintendo's only target everything else closing is through fear of owners of sites afraid it will happen to them. Before it was all fun and games but now that there are possible consequences they aren't willing to face them which I can't blame them for you wouldn't catch me running an illegal download site that is for sure.
  20. Try installing LB again to another folder and then copy that BB.exe into your original folder.
  21. Not sure why it isn't working as it definitely should, I've even copied LB installs to different computers and it doesn't give me any problems.
