  1. Try out the free version at first to get a handle on how it all works getting your games and emulators setup. Yes, if you bought the one year license at 20$ you can upgrade at any point to a lifetime for 30$ As for Mame / Mess and Atari 5200 that actually is not too bad to get setup, it's actually easier now than it used to be. We can help you with getting it setup.
  2. You could do what you want with a playlist.
  3. Maybe the DPI is messing with refresh rates.
  4. I think that's more a 4K issue than Windows 10. I use Windows 10 without issues but I have heard of lots of minor problems when using 4K TVs, like framerate and refresh rates.
  5. When and where is the stutter happening ?
  6. Awesome job on this Jason, now if you can tweak it just a bit to auto detect the platform being imported to based on the selected platform so we don't have to pick from the dropdown menu along with remembering the "Move / Copy / Leave" roms location that would be even better. What you got now though really saves a lot of extra mouse clicks, thank you very much.
  7. Saving of import settings such as what images to download has been implemented in the latest beta.
  8. That is unfortunate you are getting crashes like that and unfortunately it's not something I can help with at all other than what I have done already which is that I have emailed @Jason Carr to have a look at this thread closely.
  9. When are you getting the crashes ? Is there something specific causing them ? Constant crashing is a fairly isolated issue since very few people run into this kind of issue.
  10. One thing to remember when importing arcade games is do not have Launchbox move or copy them, have it leave and use them where they are. Moving them can cause issues because of required bios and parent roms.
  11. Personal preference. I prefer to use Retroarch where possible as long as it makes sense. Not all cores are as good the stand alone counterpart. If you are having troubles running certain games through Launchbox but they run fine outside of it then you most likely have a setting issue.
  12. You could us the "Auto Generate Playlist" using the "Complete" field. Then when you finish a game you can flag it as complete and it will automatically go into the "Completed" playlist.
  13. That is strange that BigBox would cause your Retroarch emulators to run slow. I have not experienced that problem with either of my systems, one is a relatively decently high end system and the other is pretty low end by modern standards.
  14. In my quick testing they really did not get along well, I also don't use steam very often so I cannot say there isn't a setting or something to make it better. Maybe someone has had success with it and will see this and post.
  15. Someone around here might have something info to share on that issue and I hope someone does. Not sure how many people around here do that but then again knowing the people around here someone will.
  16. Yup, as you can see here I have 5 installs of Mame.
  17. Ahh gotcha though that sort of stuff is kind of already in there. You can sort and generate playlists based on developers and publishers. Going into things like director and composer would certainly take a lot more work on the database. I am sure those fields could be added though.
  18. This has been requested several times and is something I have been hounding Jason for for a while. It is on the "Small Things List" which Jason is planning on getting back to so hopefully this is one of the things he gets to.
  19. If it's crashing on one and not the other then at least you know it's not the install. That leaves either a hardware problem or a Windows / driver problem.
  20. This really is not possible right now because Launchbox has no way of knowing when you have actually completed a game. All you can do at the moment is to toggle the "Completed" box in the "edit game" window. This may be something that is possible with "Retroachievements" integration which is something Jason has mentioned he plans on working on soon but I have no idea just how much integration that can be done and of course this will only possibly work with games and emulators that Retroachievements supports.
  21. Yea, that is to create the favourites playlist but not have sub folders which unfortunately right now is not really possible to do in an ideal way.
  22. I believe there is but @Vlansix will probably be the best person to answer this though I am sure others can as well. The way I understand it is that the database approvals go into the update that gets uploaded once per day.
