  1. Jason is back today and posting.
  2. Ok, that's what I thought. I did mess around with it a while back but only to check it out and then moved on. Very strange then that loading it through Launchbox doesn't trigger the profile software.
  3. Are you just launching a single exe for Cannball through Launchbox ? Or is it something else ?
  4. Hmm, I have no experience doing this at all but if the Logitech profiler software autodetects when the software is loaded and switches to the appropriate profile outside of Launchbox it should in theory work through Launchbox. Launchbox afterall is just a fancy UI for shortcuts. I don't know if the Logitech software supports loading a profile using the command line or not but if it does you could maybe use the Additional Apps feature in Launchbox to have the profiler software load the profile after launching the game.
  5. According to the Mednafen documentation the recommended CPU for Saturn is" "Mednafen's Sega Saturn emulation is extremely CPU intensive. The minimum recommended CPU is a quad-core Intel Haswell-microarchitecture CPU with a base frequency of >= 3.3GHz and a turbo frequency of >= 3.7GHz(e.g. Xeon E3-1226 v3), but note that this recommendation does not apply to any unofficial ports or forks, which may have higher CPU requirements." https://mednafen.github.io/documentation/ss.html It does run fine on AMD CPUs as well, I have an 8350 @ 4 GHz and it has zero issues with running it. As with any emulation the further you go up the chain to newer and / or more complex systems being emulated the faster and more modern CPU you need to run them at proper speeds.
  6. It does and the supported file extensions for the PSX core is: supported_extensions = "cue|toc|m3u|ccd|exe|pbp" That doesn't address .bin or .iso but I don't believe the images that are .iso format work, especially considering the OP made his own .cue files.
  7. Multi display I am fairly certain is already in BigBox but it is something I have not messed around with at all.
  8. This is something I have on the "Small Things" list I have submitted to @Jason Carr It's part of the "Improved Playlists".
  9. I believe all that is required is a theme to be made to use the vertical orientation.
  10. I don't want to say this with absolute certainty but I don't believe .iso work with Retroarch.
  11. Did you import the cue files into Launchbox ? I'm not 100% certain that cue + iso files will work with Retroarch, all my stuff is cue + bin. To check right click a game > edit and check in the launcher tab.
  12. Yeah read only, sorry I wrote write only in my previous post.
  13. No problem, feel free to ask anything you want on here or on the discord channel.
  14. I have not run into this problem but I also never start up Mame without my controller on. I have seen people talking about this before with wireless controllers losing their bindings when loading Mame with the controllers off. There is no real easy workaround to this, either make sure your controllers are on or use some sort of controller mapping software such as Xpadder to map your controllers to match your keyboard keys that Mame defaults to. I don't know if setting your config files found in the /cfg/ folder of your Mame install folder to write only read only would be a work around or not. Edited.
  15. If you do decide to upgrade the video card you don't need to go overboard with anything super fancy. Something with only 1 gig of gddr5 vram is plenty enough and extremely cheap so look for something cheap and lower power draw. A GPU will help Launchbox performance but again you don't need anything super fancy, in my HTPC I have an old Radeon 7800 series card and it handles any shaders I throw at it. Nope, no difference. Just the emulators themselves. Anything beyond that is purely optional such as other 3rd party software such as RocketLauncher, Controller Companion (or Xpadder) or anything else you might want for extra functionality.
  16. Are you disk images .iso or .bin ? They should be .bin. My first guess since you are getting a black screen you have your stuff setup correctly in Launchbox and you should be loading the .cue file. My guess is you have bad disk images.
  17. Have you added the emulator to Launchbox ? Use the manage emulators tools to add it if you have not.
  18. Well to be somewhat fair to certain people 20$ US converts to quite a lot of money in some countries. In some parts of the world 20$ US is a months pay. That of course doesn't justify it since there are free front ends out there so they can use those even though those other free options may not have the options that Launchbox. I am actually more surprised that someone using a pirated license would be so "ballsy" as to post on the forums about why it no longer updates. The license file this person was using / posted was a known license shared around the internet and was black listed to prevent it from being able to update.
  19. Do you mean as a single playlist ? If so, you can "auto populate" a list of favourites.Or if you want to do it more manually to control the games in the playlist simply right click a game > add to playlist > new playlist and go from there, it's easy. If you are referring to something else give me more details on what exactly you are wanting.
  20. Yeah, I fortunately have not been forced into a Creators Update yet but I know that day is coming.
  21. I guess you could create a custom config with the mappings the way you wanted it and load the custom config with the command line in LB for the Associated Platform.
  22. Have you tried reinstalling video drivers and direct x as well as the Visual C++ runtimes ? There have been people who have reported these things can fix tings with the Creators Update. Keep in mind that the CU is still not an officially available update yet, it is still a beta and I just read last night that it is going into a big bug squash phase so hopefully that will fix some issues with it.
  23. No problem, glad you got it sorted. Mednafen Saturn is a bit more finicky with bios and disk images but worth it cause it is the superior Saturn emulator by far.
